1997 JEEP CHEROKEE SPORT
IN LESS THAN GOOD RUNNING ORDER
JEEP WILL START AND RUN.
WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF 3RD GEAR WITHOUT LETTING OUT ON THE THROTTLE. LOTS OF TIMES NOT AT ALL. MY SUSPICION IS THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTOR IS PLUGGED SO BAD THAT ITS MESSING WITH THE VACUUM. TROUBLE LIGHT IS ON AND LAST CHECKED IT IS 02 SENSORS. THE SENSORS ARE NEW AS OF LAST TIME WE USED IT BOLSTERING MY SUSPICIONS ON THE CONVERTOR. THIS IS MY AMATEUR OPINION. THE LAST TIME I RAN THIS JEEP THE 4WD TRANSFER CASE WAS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. THE INTERIOR IS IN PRETTY GOOD CONDITION. NO RIPS OR TEARS IN THE SEATS. THE HEAD LINNER HAS LET GO IN 2 SMALL SPOTS AT THE SPEAKERS. SOME RUST BUT ALL IN ALL A SOLID JEEP. DOORS SHUT AND OPEN AS THEY SHOULD, THEY ARE NICE AND TIGHT. LIFT GATE PISTONS ARE SHOT, AS THE LIFT GATE WILL NOT STAY RAISED.
THE JEEP HAS ISSUES, I AM 2 BUSY WITH OTHER PROJECTS TO MESS WITH AND DONT NEED IT. I DONT HAVE THE ABILITY TO TELL U EXACTLY WHAT THE JEEP IS OR IS NOT AND I AM SELLING IT TO YOU AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY IMPLIED.
ASK ALL YOUR QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID. I WILL BE HAPPY TO HONESTLY ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. THERE WILL BE NO REFUND
PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PICK UP THE JEEP ON THE WEEKEND OF THE 26TH AFTER 5PM, 26TH OR 27TH. CONSIDER THE CAR AS NOT DRIVABLE. IN ITS PRESENT CONDITION I THINK IT WOULD BE A MISTAKE. ALTHOUGH AT YOUR OWN RISK YOU COULD CHOOSE TO DO SO. WHEN YOU ARRIVE WE WILL START THE CAR AND PUT IT IN DRIVE AND ROLL IT, AND REVERSE AND ROLL IT. IF IT DOES NOT DO ANY OF THESE THINGS I WILL GIVE YOU A FULL REFUND ON THE PRICE OF THE JEEP. HOW YOU GET THE CAR WHERE YOU ARE DESTINED FOR IS ULTIMATELY YOUR CONCERN.
NO FUNNY BUSINESS HERE, I WILL OFFER YOU NONE AND TAKE NONE RESPECTIVELY.
THANKS FOR LOOKING AND HAPPY BIDDING

SEMA crowns Mustang, FR-S as this year's hottest cars in the building
Wed, 31 Oct 2012After wrapping up the first day of the 2012 SEMA Show, organizers handed out awards for some of the trendiest vehicles on display. Since the whole point of SEMA is to show off new products available in the aftermarket world for use in cars, trucks and SUVs, each year, the show distinguishes the most popular vehicle in various segments. Not surprisingly, this year's Hottest Car and Hottest Sport Compact are the Ford Mustang and Scion FR-S, respectively, while the Ford F-Series brought home the Hottest Truck and the Jeep Wrangler was named the Hottest 4x4-SUV.
More than 2,000 companies are at this year's show, and the display booths represents a "vote" for each car to determing the trendiest vehicles in each of the four categories. It isn't clear if these awards also take cars brought by OEMs into account, but the Mustang and FR-S were definitely well represented by both OEM and aftermarket show versions.
As usual, the OEMs showed up in force at the this year's SEMA Show exhibiting a variety of cars ranging from production-intent cars like the beastly Ford Mustang Cobra Jet to much flashier rides like Scion's Carbon Stealth FR-S.
Coronavirus shakes up America's truck market: GM outselling Ford and Ram
Thu, Apr 2 2020FCA, Ford and General Motors joined the rest of the U.S. auto industry in taking heavy volume hits due to coronavirus-related shortages of both cars and customers. The saying goes that a rising tide lifts all boats; it stands to reason, then, that a falling one would have the opposite effect. However, as we learned Thursday, the automotive market can behave in unpredictable ways. While the F-Series remained the best-selling nameplate in Q1, GM's full-size trucks are now outselling Ford's again for the first time in years, and with this upward thrust from the General, FCA's Ram was unceremoniously booted out of a hard-earned second place. While late-March sales declines hit just about every major automaker in one way or another, the model-by-model results weren't nearly so uniform. And because the market tends to be a zero-sum game, for every winner, there generally has to be a loser. In this case, that winner was GM, and its rise had to come at the expense of another automaker, in this case, Ford. F-Series sales dropped 13.1 percent in the first quarter of 2020, while sales of GM's full-sized Silverado and Sierra surged nearly 28% in the same period. FCA's Ram lineup managed a steady-as-she-goes 7% increase. All-in, GM finished the quarter with 197,743 full-size trucks sold to Ford's 186,562. Here's the full breakdown: Ford F-Series: 186,562 Chevrolet Silverado*: 144,734 Ram P/U: 128,805 GMC Sierra: 53,009 *includes 1,036 Medium Duty sales Things are a but murkier in the midsize segment, where the Chevy Colorado slipped 36% to just 21,430 units sold — just a few hundred better than the slow-selling Ford Ranger's Q1 numbers. The GMC Canyon experienced an almost identical slide, finishing the quarter with just 4,483 units sold. For perspective, Jeep sold more than 15,000 Gladiators and Toyota's midsize Tacoma slipped less than 8%, finishing the quarter with nearly 54,000 sales. We suspect this discrepancy in full- and mid-size truck sales comes from shifting incentives. Ford, GM and FCA would like to keep selling bigger trucks because there's far more profit margin built into their list prices. Even with tens of thousands of dollars in manufacturer money on the hood, big trucks still make money. Since these automakers report quarterly, we won't get another good look at these numbers until July, but if you thought that 2019 represented the new normal for U.S. auto sales, well, think again.
2019 Jeep Renegade spied out in the cold
Thu, Feb 8 2018The upcoming facelifted Jeep Renegade has been caught again in winter testing wearing only light camo. (Won't it get cold?) Photographed somewhere in Northern Scandinavia where it's currently very chilly, the renewed Renegade shows off a redesigned front bumper, which features a new shape for the lower air intake, and the inward repositioning of the fog lights, cleaning up the front fascia. The rear end of the Renegade wears matching swirly camo, but there's not much to analyze about it: Even the X-shape of the blocky taillights will be retained by the looks of it. These spy shots also provide a look inside, where the dashboard screen has noticeably grown in size, and the lower portion of the dash with its HVAC and audio controls has been redesigned. The refresh of the Renegade is expected to debut sometime this year, making it a 2019 model. The current iteration of the Fiat-related Renegade was first unveiled at Geneva four years ago, so it's certainly due for a 2019 facelift. No rumors of powertrain changes have yet been heard.
