Toy Sale;

I bought this Jeep about 5 years ago and have spent a lot of time and energy building it up. The paint and body work was the first item completed (although has had a few bumps and bruises since then), went retro with the front grill and headlights, 6" BJ's lift, 35" KM2's (less than 5k miles) on M/T wheels, boxed the frame, moved the spare to the rear bumper to install a larger fuel tank in it's place. Stock Dana 44's front/rear. I swapped out the front seats with a pair of power dodge electric seats, kept factory rear seat. Replaced the carpet, stereo/speakers, new guages.

The engine is an original AMC 401 that was bored only 10 over to clean it up. The stock crank was offset ground to use chevy sized rods to increase the stroke, it is now about 418 ci. Custom Diamond pistons with 10.5:1 compression, Barry Allen ported heads, block machine work by Stockton Machine Shop in CA. Comp Cams roller cam, with Harland Sharp roller rockers. Holley fuel pump and Truck Avenger Carp on Edelbrock Air-Gap intake. All MSD ignition including wires. BJ's aluminum radiator/electric fan combo with matching aluminum overflow and washer containers. Custom ceramic coated headers with dual 3" side exiting exhaust through Magnaflow mufflers. Rebuilt TH400 trans with all the performance upgrades, Alto Red clutches etc. B&M Racing transmission cooler with self contained fan and temp switch.

Custom serpentine belt system instead of V-belts. Power brake booster replaced by a hydraulic system (Chevy hydroboost) for better stopping. Assed steering stabelizer, custom off-road bumbers with swing out tire rack and gas can holder.
I have taking this Jeep to trails in TN, KY, CO, NV, CA, and AZ, lots of fun, but I have been working in Hawaii for the past 2 years and just sitting in the garage is not good for it. Since I will probably be spending most of my time the next couple of years in Hawaii I need to sell some of my toys.

Before bidding please understand that this is a 34 year old Jeep, it has some bumps and bruises, has had some rust in panels that were replaced, all custom engine work etc. so I'm selling without any warranty or guarantee. I do have title in hand and can take Paypal.

2014 Jeep Cherokee

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

The Cherokee Is Dead. Long Live The Cherokee.
There are three sentences that, for this reviewer, define what needs to be conveyed about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The first: it is very good.
Jeep spent 27 years building the Cherokee and its brand, from 1974 to 2001. Twelve years ago, the Cherokee nameplate rolled away into the distant hills and retirement, at least here in the NAFTA colonies, and it was replaced by a loaded word we knew as "Liberty."

2014 Easter Jeep Safari kicks off with six concepts

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

The 2014 Easter Jeep Safari is set to begin this weekend in Moab, Utah, and while it's sure to be a blast for Jeep enthusiasts from all corners of the world, we're looking forward to the wild, off-road ready concepts that Jeep will be bringing to the red rocks. As you can see in our handy headline, there are six such vehicles in total, each of which sports a variety of tweaks and custom bits.
Unlike in years past, where Jeep graced us with some outrageous concepts like the Mighty FC or J-12, this year's vehicles are a bit more restrained and a bit more buildable by enthusiasts. That's not by accident, officials tell us. They wanted to put this year's focus on attainable vehicles and accessories from Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts that existing owners can use to augment their own vehicles. So let's get to it.
We'll start with the Wranglers first. There are three concepts of the jeepiest of Jeep coming to Moab - the Level Red, Maximum Performance and Mojo. The Level Red and the Mojo (seen above) are similar from a suspension and engine standpoint. Both boast a two-inch Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, which officials tell us is coming to market in the next few months. There are a pair of Dana 44 crate axles on both the front and rear, while a Jeep Performance Parts Rock-Trac transfer case has been fitted. The 3.6-liter V6 engines on both Jeeps can breathe a bit easier thanks to a new cold-air intake and exhaust system.

Next-generation Jeep Wrangler arriving at the end of 2017, diesel for 2019 model year

Fri, Jul 21 2017

The folks at JL Wrangler Forums have come across some very juicy information regarding the next-generation Wrangler, thanks to an anonymous source who got the details from a dealer meeting. Among the information provided by the source is the timeline for the new Jeep's release. It will be fully revealed at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show, and it will hit dealers this December. At launch, the next-gen Wrangler will be available with both a 3.6-liter V6 with either a manual or automatic, and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that can only be had with an automatic. We expect this engine to be turbocharged and pack as much as 300 horsepower. It also seems Chrysler is still making good on its promise of a diesel Wrangler for this generation. Photos taken by a JL Wrangler Forums user show what looks like a diesel exhaust fluid tank underneath one of the prototypes seen above. There could be a bit of a wait on that powertrain, though. According to the JL Wrangler Forums source, it won't be arriving until near the end of the 2019 model year, so potentially at the end of the 2018 calendar year, and possibly early 2019. The other big news is that the anonymous source confirmed that there will in fact be a hardtop with a power sliding opening. The feature was rumored years ago, and we may have had our first look at it thanks to earlier spy shots also taken by a JL Wrangler Forums member. The photos showed a mysterious set of switches on the windshield header that may have been controls for the power top. This feature won't be available at launch according to the anonymous source, and will instead debut near the end of the 2018 model year, so likely early- to mid-calendar year 2018. Some other minor changes to colors and equipment were revealed also, and can be seen at the forum website, here. Related Video:
