This 1984 Jeep CJ 7 Laredo 4x4 which spent its whole life in SoCal and has original paint, absolutely no rust issues and original miles. It is a Turn Key Jeep, jump in and drive home, the jeep was always garaged! Engine: 6 cylinder original motor that starts right up, sounds amazing, runs flawless and very powerful. The motor idles perfect and has plenty of power ,no smoke. Transmission: Manual 4 speed transmission that shifts perfect without any grinding, popping or whining. 4x4 works fine but I've not had it out in the sand dunes or mudding The transmission and clutch shift perfectly and the jeep stops on a dime. Suspension: It has 2" lift. The Jeep drives great. Body: Body is in great condition and original. There is absolutely no rust on this Jeep. This 1984 Jeep Laredo which spent its whole life in SoCal and has original paint, It does have NO rust on the underbody/undercarriage, interior floors and a nothing on the windshield frame. It has almost NO scratches and blemishes what is unbelievable for a 29 year old Jeep. The front bumper and grill is like new. Paint: The exterior is original color Black and looks great, you can still see the factory rivet marks and the natural "waves" that the jeep had when it was born. Jeep comes with original hard top and hard doors. The original paint is very shiny, reflective and shows like new. The decals are like new. Hardtop: Factory original hardtop No cracks, cuts or damages. Interior Gauges/switches: The interior is completely original Brown with dark Brown lining, It does not have a rip, stain or color discoloration. The Heater blows warm and all blinkers, horn, switches, gauges work without problems. The door windows easily roll up and down. The original dash pad there. Interior seats are all original : Seats are in perfect original condition. Overall: This Jeep is beautiful inside and out. It drives great. Car dealership in East Texas destroyed by tornado
Tue, May 2 2017Few things are as fundamentally and unconditionally destructive as a tornado. These cataclysmic phenomena pass through towns, leaving nothing in their wake but ruin and despair. According to an NBC affiliate in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, a car dealership in nearby Canton was hit by a tornado Saturday night. No employees were hurt. Four other people in the area weren't so lucky. Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Canton's new showroom and service center were pounded by the storm, leaving dozens of cars in various states of ruin. Some merely lost windows, while others were flipped and left on their sides or roofs. Photos show piles of cars stacked up like Hot Wheels dumped on the ground. According to a statement from the National Weather Service, winds reached speeds of up to 140 mph. Two other tornadoes were reported in the region. The area has been declared a disaster zone and first responders from up to 100 miles away have swarmed in to help out those in need. According to Reuters, the storms Saturday killed 11 people nationwide. The 2019 Jeep Grand Wagoneer looks like a Grand Cherokee on steroids
Tue, Oct 18 2016It's a special day for Jeep fans. Thanks to the same dealer meeting leak that gave us a look at the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL, here is our first glimpse of the new Grand Wagoneer. When it arrives for 2019, this three-row crossover SUV will be the top model in Jeep's range. We knew the Grand Wagoneer would be expensive – Jeep CEO Mike Manley said not to rule out prices upwards of $130,000 for this Range Rover fighter – but now we know it looks like it wants to pick an actual fight with its competitors. What's visible of the front and rear styling is very reminiscent of the current Grand Cherokee, but it's muscled up a bit and gets a set of sinister seven-element headlights. The seven-light theme is carried to the rear as well, and we have a feeling the number is a not-so-subtle reference to the seven-slot grille that all Jeeps wear. That said, here the grille is a short, wide-mouth affair that is a bit of a departure from those of other models. And there's a lot of brightwork in these renderings, not just on the grille but for similar pieces that connect the exhaust tips in the rear and tow-hook surrounds up front. Either by design or engineering, the Grand Wagoneer also looks wider than the two-row Grand Cherokee. The Grand Wagoneer will be about the size of the Dodge Durango three-row crossover and will be based on the platform used by the next-generation Grand Cherokee. The GC and Durango currently share a platform based on one used by Mercedes for its large SUVs, and it is not yet known whether the new Jeeps will use an evolution of that platform or something new. Hemi V8 and diesel and gas V6 engines are the likely powertrain options, and we wouldn't be surprised to see a Hellcat-powered version of this mean-looking luxury SUV at some point. FCA spends $1.5 billion to retool plant for Ram production
Tue, Jul 26 2016Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is planning to invest $1.48 billion to retool its Sterling Heights Assembly plant in metro Detroit to build the next generation of the Ram 1500. The investment will allow the assembly plant to go from unibody to body-on-frame construction. FCA also confirmed that production of the Chrysler 200 will end in December in order for the plant to be altered. As previously reported, FCA is looking to move production of the 1500 from its current assembly plant in Warren to the Sterling Heights Assembly plant (both are in Michigan). While FCA has not released any official plans for the Warren Truck Assembly Plant, Automotive News reports that the plant will be retooled to manufacture the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs. Earlier this month, FCA announced plans to invest $1.05 billion to retool the Jeep Wrangler factory. FCA's current investment plans are part of the automaker's push to put competitive products on the road.
