Vehicle Description I am going to be very up front and honest and straight about everything I can recollect possible on this Jeep so that you know exactly to the T what you are buying. This is a NO RESERVE auction so please familiarize yourself with everything before bidding!
History: This Jeep is the last of the true legacy of the Real Jeep (the original CJ series) built in the world. These vehicles are becoming more and more harder to find thus making it appreciate and more valuable by each passing year. This vehicle is better in every which way than any new Jeep that is sold on the market today. The solid true steel (not plastic) construction and engineering that underwent into these Jeeps consists of durability, toughness and easy maintenance that truly outdid itself. This holds true on all CJ model years produced.
Overall: Beige on Cream paint job with full hard top and hard doors and optional bikini top. All the upholstery and trim and carpet are factory original. No Rust on body or frame (California vehicle). This Jeep is a definite head turner with its impressive classic and fun looks. You will receive many compliments on the Jeep for its originality and impressive quality upgrades. A tough 4x4 and a nice cruiser!
Up for sale is this family owned super original 1986 Jeep CJ-7 Laredo Package 4X4 Hard Top / Hard Doors / Bikini Top with just under 102,665 documented miles. This Jeep comes with the original Window Sticker with all the factory ordered options that was placed in the window by the dealer when it was bought. This Jeep has not been restored and still wears its original factory Beige / Tan Laredo and Jeep Paint. The power plant consists of the popular 4.2 258L 6cylinder engine backed with the more popular 5 speed transmission.
(Decals were added at the dealership) and has all of its original factory Laredo package spice tan interior (seats, carpet, seat belts, dash pad, etc) that still looks brand new like a true newer Jeep should.
The Jeep has been garaged and always kept in dry condition
This Jeep does have the most desired rare Dana 44 rear axle that was available late in the 1986 production year. The factory ordered original Radio still works and looks new as it did from the factory.
This vehicle had the Zbart rust preventative applied at the dealership before it was delivered which we do have the receipts.
All of the gauges are vibrant bright colors as they should be with a garage kept Jeep.
In 1982 they started using a 6th digit on the speedometer so you could tell the true mileage instead of it just keep rolling over. If you know Jeeps you will be able to tell that this is an original Jeep and nothing is being Bs'd about it.

Here are the reasons why you will not see a nicer one:
Motor: The engine runs extremely strong and has been serviced at the Jeep dealership since new. Please pay close attention to the CA emission labels and Chrysler Jeep fuel injection upgrade that was added as an option when new at the dealership.
Transmission:The 5 Speed manual transmission has no grinding or leaks. Shifts like a dream!
Clutch: Brand new clutch pressure plate, disc, including all bearings, bushings and components including new balanced flywheel.
Transfer case: No leaks or grinding. Driveshafts: Custom CJ-7 "cut downs" with new universal joints and U-bolts.
Rear axle: Just serviced Dana 44 rear end with new ONE piece axles, differential cover, new seals, gaskets, etc. No leaks or sounds.
Front axle: New bearings, ONE piece axles, gears, universal joints, gaskets, and seals.
Brakes: Completely new brakes and rotors all way around. New master cylinder with power break booster.
Suspension: Rancho Rs 5000 3 inch lift kit with brand new bushings, shackles.
Steering: Excellent power steering box, tie rod ends, steering stabilizer. Front end alignment. New power steering hoses. (beautiful) original Jeep factory tilt steering wheel with chrome inserts.
Lift: 3 inch suspension lift with high-strength bolts. Tires: Good 33x12.50 all terrains. Quiet and smooth.
Wheels: New custom Alloys. Polished forged aluminum wheels with polished stainless steel center caps and lug nuts. Spare wheel & tire on the original factory spare tire carrier frame and bumper with hitch & wiring.
Exhaust: All clean and original free flowing with new muffler
Sound System: Original factory AM / FM radio from Jeep.
Electrical: All the electrical and components work as it should like day one it rolled off the lot.
Exterior: Stainless steel OEM factory original mirrors, hood catches, grille, and bumperettes.
Protection: Rear fully boxed 12 gauge bumper with hitch receiver. Full Interior roll bar. Stock transmission skid plate.
Lighting: Front fog lamps. UltraGlow headlights, new OEM side marker lamps and parking lamps.
Body: No rust, no
accidents, straight and excellent condition!
I could have easily replaced these door skins for rather cheap. However, it shows the true original untouched, un-molested condition of this collector Jeep.
Interior: Original plush spice carpet with leather front and rear seat, soft top, doors, AND bikini top in excellent condition. Original factory locking center console. Spice sun visors (original factory warning label still in tact on visor).
Please take a look at the original factory warning label still in tact on the sun visor from day one.
Purpose for selling:Do not have the space and need to sell it. I truly love this Jeep and it breaks my heart after all the time, effort and money invested in it to let it go. This is a fantastic deal if not a fantastic opportunity for those who understand and appreciate what this Jeep means to a collector.
ALL IN ALL: Perfect shape, great amenities, and a GREAT deal. I have invested countless thousands of dollars in this Jeep. There still remains many other details that I am probably forgetting to mention that has gone into this Jeep.
