Looking at a highly modified jeep with no limits, drive train is a Ford 306 with a 303 cam, ported and polished head off a late model 5.0, proform distributor, headers, 600 cfm Holley four barrel carb, eldabrock intake, aluminum valve covers, champion welded aluminum radiator with 2 ten inch electric fans, trans is a NP 435 four speed, original Dana 300 transfer case, up front is a Dana 44 axle in back is a Chevy 12 bolt, sitting on 37x12.5x15 Goodyeat MTRs, this is a daily driver I drive it to work and back two or three times a week, it get about 14 mpg. It is a work in progress but I've got a 7 week old now and bills are coming in so need to unload fast. Listed price is somewhat NEG so if interested give me a ring. Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers
Thu, 12 Jun 2014For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable
Sun, 10 Aug 2014A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
