1985 Cj 7 Original Body****no Body Work. Original 48k Miles Chevy V8 on 2040-cars
Leo, Indiana, United States
85 CJ 7 with original miles around 48,200. I drive it daily. It came from out west clearly used very little. It was an original 4cyl and now has a 83 Chevy V8 305 engine. It had been gone over, and built back to stock specs. It has a t176 transmission that is a heavy duty and it has been gone threw as well($975). Original was a t4 that was very weak. Has a original Dana transfer case & axels. I scrapped and painted the underside anf sprayed it with truck bed liner. It did NOT require much work since it is rock solid to start with and not rusty. The interior floor needs finished with lightly sanded and finished. The seats have covers on them and still are very usable but they need recovered to be perfect. It has a complete soft top and soft doors and a bikini top.
I drive this thing daily and so does my son. I trust it 100% not to ever leave me stranded. It's a lot of fun! Tire are in great shape. All terrains 33X12.5 on 15 inch rims 4 inch suspension lift kit Dual exhaust with glass packs sounds good. Heavy duty front bumper These things are all over on price with them up to 20k restored. PLease understand this CJ is in very good condition and the floor, frame & body is in better condition than most newer YJ and TJ's. No body work, frame or floor work As you can see in the pic of the red floor pan on the underside before i put liner on it for protection. I like to use it as a jeep! This is not a perfect Jeep or the price would 3 X higher. If you want new buy new. Text, call or email questions or if you need more pics. Two60-two41-5301 |

Marchionne uses racial epithet to describe what must power future Alfa Romeo models
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Sergio Marchionne and his Fiat empire have a lot riding on the US return of the Alfa Romeo brand. The endeavor has been in progress for what feels like a lifetime - certainly for as long as Fiat has had the Chrysler brand under its Italian wing.
It's not surprising that Fiat CEO Marchionne needs a perfect first Alfa to mark a return to America. And here's where things get dicey. Nobody would argue with Marchionne's insistence that Alfa Romeo's be powered by Italian engines - as Marchionne himself is quoted to have said at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, "There are some things that are well done in Italy."
If not what he said, then, it's how he said it that has eyebrows raised. "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it needs to be a wop engine." Wait, what's that?
2015 Jeep Renegade
Tue, 04 Mar 2014It's no secret that the midsize crossover segment is one of the most hotly contested battlegrounds in the automotive industry. Long have vehicles like the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 duked it out for those ever illusive consumer dollars. For many customers, though, even something like a Nissan Rogue is too big, whether in terms of price, fuel economy or just plain size.
For those customers, a growing market segment seems poised to fulfill their needs. Compact crossovers and tall wagons like the Nissan Juke and Kia Soul offer the high-riding driving experience with all the utility that comes from their two-box layout. It's an underrepresented segment among manufacturers, with big names like Toyota, Ford, General Motors and Honda lacking a true competitor.
To capitalize on this growing class, Chrysler's Jeep brand has readied this: the Renegade. That's right. Not Jeepster - Renegade. This diminutive off-roader, which rides on Fiat Chrysler's new small-wide 4x4 architecture, represents Jeep's first foray into the subcompact CUV segment as we know it, and it's making its official debut this week, on the floor of the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Join us as we take a close look at one of Jeep's most important products in some time.
Key-swapping thieves steal Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from FL dealer
Sat, 09 Nov 2013Just a few weeks back, we reported on the theft of an Audi RS5 by a pair of creative thieves who managed to swipe the car's keys when the salesperson stepped away from their desk. Now, a Florida dealership is missing a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 after some crooks switched the Jeep's keys with an identical, non-functioning set.
According to the report from local NBC affiliate WPTV, the men went in and spoke to a dealer about the Jeep. They walked outside, took a look at it, started it up and in the process managed to switch out the fobs. After doing their time with the salesperson, the thieves walked back out to the car, got in and drove away.
"I mean obviously, the way it was done, I think that they were professionals and they knew what they were doing," said Arrigo Jeep General Manager Joe Tufo. "The fact that they did it in broad daylight and switched the key fob and it was like it was nothing. That's what makes it unique," he added.
