1984 JEEP CJ7. This is a very clean and solid cj. It has a partial restore with a rebuilt transmission and converter with a 1 year warranty, rebuilt rear end, new carpet, new paint, new door panels, and many new parts under the hood. It has a hard top with hard doors and roll up windows. The rear seat is in good shape the front seats have tears. It has a automatic transmission with power steering. It has a set of bfg all terrain tires with 90% tread. It cranks right up and runs great. It had a fairly small rust repair on both rockers before painted.. The frame is solid and appears to be undercoated at one time. I would consider the jeep a very clean driver. There is no leaks underneath that Im aware of. It does not smoke or burn oil and has plenty of power. Its not a 20k show jeep and its not a 3-4k rust bucket. The only problems Im aware of is the gas gauge don't work and,the neutral safety switch does not work which means it will start in any gear which could be dangerous if you attempt to start while its in gear and somebody is in front of you,its not a problem as long as its in park or neutral when you start it. Jeep has no a/c. The heater is hooked up but the blower motor does not work. This is one of the better looking cj7s ive seen around here. The title says its a original Laredo but its missing the tach and clock that the laredos have. This is your chance to get a very nice cj at a good price with no reserve. Please only bid if you have the money and plan on paying. Contact me before bidding if you have less than 5 positive feedback or if you have negative feedback. Texas residents have to pay tt&l. AS IS NO WARRANTY. I don't think anybody would be disappointed in this jeep so BID with confidence. If you would like to set up a time to view the jeep or have any questions please feel free to message me. I am located about a hour south of Houston in West Columbia TX. I can help set up shipping but buyer must pay all shipping cost or come get it in person. Thanks for looking.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee probed by NHTSA for brake problems
Sun, Jun 7 2015Remember how Toyota got in all kinds of trouble over unintended acceleration? Well, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating Jeep over unintended braking. NHTSA has announced a probe of 20,000 Grand Cherokee SUVs from model year 2014. Nine complaints have been received, with owners alleging that their Jeeps have issued brake warnings or gone ahead and applied the brakes when no threat was presented. Each complaint alleges that the vehicles have exhibited this behavior repeatedly, leading to a "sudden reduction in vehicle speed in traffic." So basically, a system designed to prevent accidents could actually increase the odds of a collision happening. Speaking to the Associated Press, Jeep spokesperson Eric Mayne said owners whose vehicles are exhibiting this behavior should report to dealers, while adding that the automatic braking/adaptive cruise control systems can be deactivated. Related Video: Scroll down for the official bulletin on the investigation from NHTSA. Date Investigation Opened: JUN 01, 2015 Date Investigation Closed: Open NHTSA Action Number: PE15021 Component(s): FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Manufacturer: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) SUMMARY: The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received nine complaints alleging inappropriate activations of the autonomous braking system in model year (MY) 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. All nine reports alleged unexpected braking incidents preceded by collision imminent brake warnings and resulting in sudden reduction in vehicle speed in traffic. Two complaints reported autonomous braking incidents with no objects on the road resulting in rapid increase in brake force and anti-lock braking system (ABS) activations. The complaints alleged experiencing multiple events at different locations and road conditions. A Preliminary Evaluation has been opened to assess the frequency, scope and consequences of the alleged defect. Chrysler recalling 31k SUVs and vans
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Chrysler is issuing recalls covering roughly 31,700 vehicles worldwide due to two separate problems. In both cases the company believes that most of the affected vehicles are either still on, or in transit to, dealer lots.
One recall covers roughly 10,700 Dodge Durango, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SRT models from the 2014 model year built between January 16 and April 17, 2014. The SUVs need a software update for the cruise control. It's possible that when the cruise is on and the driver presses on the throttle, the acceleration could last a second after the pedal is released or two seconds for the SRT. Afterward, they return to the speed originally set by the driver.
Chrysler says it isn't aware of any accidents, injuries or even reported incidents of this happening in the real world. Also, in all cases, if the driver presses on the brake, the cruise shuts off. The automaker believes that there are about 6,100 affected SUVs in the US, 950 in Canada, 425 in Mexico and 3,200 outside of North America. The software upgrade will be ready shortly, the company says.
Retro Review covers that Jeep Wrangler TJ you wanted in high school
Fri, May 8 2015The Jeep Wrangler TJ holds a dear place in my heart. When they were introduced, the return to circular headlights helped pull my dad into the dealer, and he bought one. A few years later, I learned how to drive a stick in that Jeep. Now, MotorWeek has fired up the time machine for a look at the '97 Wrangler as part of the Retro Review series. One of the great things about these videos is that they offer a chance to see if nostalgia lives up to reality. In this situation, that seems to be the mostly case. Even when new, MotorWeek finds a lot to praise about the TJ, especially in terms of handling and style. It's not all perfect, though, with a major complaint about the braking. Watch the clip to see if the show's take on the Wrangler lives up to your memories of them, too.
