Selling My 84 Jeep CJ7, I really planned on keeping it and building as I went, but career change, time, etc, best choice is to let her go.

It has a 4wd hardware fiberglass tub, and a original rust free metal fenders, hood, grille, and windshield frame. It is camo wrapped with an expensive kit in Advantage Max 4HD.  There is some wrinkles in it but it still looks great and always draws attention wherever it's goes. Tub is white gel coat underneath, and hood fenders are original black paint.  Frame is very solid and has almost no rust. There was two small spots in the back that were thin, and I welded a 2"x2"  square patch over it to keep it from getting bad. ( see pics) The only other issue I had with the frame is a bunch of holes drilled toward the front, could have been from an old plow frame? I planned to just bolt or weld a plate over it, but that will be up to the buyer!

The entire drivetrain was removed from a 1976 CJ5 with only 89k original miles.
It is an AMC 304, freshly painted, newly rebuilt carb ( receipt from mechanic), brand new Summit fenderwell headers, purple hornies side pipes. Runs Great, runs about 80 psi oil cold, and 8-10 psi on the hottest day. Never overheats. Trans is T150 3 speed, shifts great, sometimes will pop out of first gear, but I think the floor needs trimming, not necessarily an issue w/ Trans. Dana 20 Tcase. AMC 20 rear/dana 30 front 3.54 gears. It really isn't geared for crawling, but will cruise right along with traffic on the highway no problem.

Drives straight and true, had many new front end parts installed over the last few years.
Rancho shocks at all 4 corners.
All stock suspension components.
3" Body lift with metal plate to stiffen body mounts on tub.

33x12.50 Dayton timberline ATs with only about 700 miles on them.
15x10 wheels just sandblasted and powder coated black.

Has HD rear bumper, with swing out tire carrier, receiver hitch, and mounts for DRing shackles.
Full Roll Cage
Tuffy Security Console with Sony Explod CD player
Original AM radio still in uncut dash!
Marine 6x9 speakers in custom boxes that mount between cage and rear fenderwell.
HD front bumper with push bar.
New Radiator
Bestop trail max seats.
Fold and tumble back seat from a YJ.
Probably lots I'm forgetting.

Known Issues or Things to tell:

Currently running on Antique Plates. Should easily pass a PA safety inspection if you choose to go back to regular registration.
Emissions w/ headers/ side pipes will be the issue, which is why I have antique plates.
Plates will go w/ the Jeep.

Minor drips here and there, but nothing major.

All gauges work except fuel gauge.

YJ Column, and dash wiring. Headlight switch mounted where factory clock was.

YJ heater box and blower switch.. Heat works but you have to manually move levers on box, CJ to YJ cable ends are different, I'm sure something can be done to make them work. Heater core left a few drips of antifreeze on floor the other day, so figure on having to replace it. It hasn't leaked lately, but something was going on??

Rear bumper needs supports welded back to frame if you want to tow with it. The rear crossmember is thin from the factory and that's all it's bolted to right now, so it's a little wobbly  Roll cage needs tied in to frame in the front.

Fenders are mounted about an 1" to low on tub, so you may want to re drill holes and move them up to make it look spot on, it never bothered me though.

304 has a manual choke installed, so it's a bit cold blooded.

Brake master cylinder will need replaced. It's dripping out of the back seal, not real bad, and ive been driving it like it is, but will need it soon.
(Manual brakes)

Everything works, and battery is new, and if it sits for a month it will still start right up, but wiring is a little messy, if you want it perfect

I have a factory original Kayline soft top with doors for it. It's in great shape, with just about a 1" crack on drivers window, from kids leaning something on it in garage. I have never had it on the jeep, and it looks like its never been used! I'm fairly sure all hardware bows, etc are there.

Whatever extra parts I can find for it.

Best top bikini top. ( black)

** I also have a new in box Howell fuel injection system, that was over $1200 new, and a complete painless wire harness brand new. I am not including them as of now, but if the auction goes high enough, I will, or ill offer the buyer a great deal on them.

** Also have a T176 4 Speed, and a Dana 300 with under 100k miles,  that I was going to install. Again not included right now, but will include them if auction goes high enough, or will make a great deal to buyer if wanted.

** If anyone wonders**  If Jeep Hits $4500 or better,  I will include the Howell fuel injection, and the T176/Dana 300.

It's not a show jeep by any means, but it's a great driver, needing only some minor issues worked out. It can be a great trail jeep or a hunting rig too.

I've tried to list everything I know about it, and will answer any questions to the best of my ability.

I have receipts for many of the parts/work, not all but quite a few.

I will work with a shipper, but arrangements are up to buyer.

I can put it on my trailer and deliver it, within reason, but price/ arrangements must be made in advance.

You can probably drive it home too, but I haven't had it on more than a 200 mile trip.

It's listed as 1980, because for some reason eBay will not accept my vin#

The jeep is a wide track 1984, titled as 1984, and the vin# is

If you need it

Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition coming to America

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Jeep originally took the wraps off its Polar Edition Wrangler at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and at the time, we figured this would be a Europe-only affair. (Perfectly fine, since we US customers haven't exactly been lacking special edition Wrangler models over the years.) But now, and as Jeep says, just in time for winter, the automaker has announced that the ice cold Wrangler will be hitting North American showrooms in November.
Based on the Wrangler Sahara model, the Polar Edition can be had in either two- or four-door body styles, with a unique Hydro Blue paint job as the featured color. (Buyers can also opt for less-special Billet Silver and Bright White hues.) Other exterior enhancements include a body-colored hardtop, 18-inch gloss black wheels, the Powerdome (power bulge) hood, and unique decals all around the body.
But the Polar Edition isn't just about some paint and stickers. Jeep has fitted this Wrangler with a Dana 30 front axle and Dan 44 rear axle, as well as the Trac-Lok anti-spin electronic rear differential. Like all US-spec Wranglers, the Polar Edition uses Jeep's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, producing 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Both a six-speed manual and five-speed automatic transmission are available.

Jeep Wrangler gets the wide-track treatment

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

When we read the tip about a Gulf-state diplomat in Rabat, Morocco who had supposedly "merged two Jeep Wranglers," we figured the two off-roaders were somehow linked front-to-back. Oh no. As you can see in the image above, taken from video of that vehicle actually traveling down the road and needing more than one lane to do it, the two Jeeps were put together side-by-side.
The seriously widebody truck is said to have six wheels, one at each corner and two in the middle. That's about all anyone seems to know about it at the moment, and that's probably enough - in these situations you know better than to ask why, just watch the video below.

YouTube tallies votes for this year's top five Super Bowl spots [w/video]

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

When we asked you to tell us which of this year's 16 car-themed Super Bowl commercials you liked best, you chose the Farmer commercial from Chrysler Group, advertising the Ram trucks, over Audi's Prom commercial in second place. Turns out the voters in YouTube's Ad Blitz poll agreed, voting the same commercial to the number one spot from among the field commercials in every category.
From there, however, they went in a totally different direction. Budweiser's The Clydesdales spot came second, Samsung's The Next Big Thing took third. The Jeep Whole Again ad scored fourth in the YouTube poll, fifth in our poll of auto commercials, and the Hyundai Team spot got fifth from the YouTubers, but ninth in our poll.
The voting results don't match up with the viewing numbers, though - while Farmer has more than 13 million views, The Next Big Thing is well beyond 21 million. You can read the press release below and see all five spots, lined up for you, one more time.
