This is a just completed restoration of a 1981 Jeep CJ7 Renegade that was a Levi edition. This was not a frame off
because there was no need. The frame is all in perfect condition, as you can see from the "before" pictures this
body was super straight with no rust anywhere. I only skim coated the rear body to take out all of the rivets
typically found on a Jeep. Now its nice and smooth and flawless. The original 304 engine was freshened up and a
mild cam installed, quadrajet carb, 4 speed transmission was gone through, as well as the transfer case. This Jeep
was only a 2 owner Jeep prior to me, the last owner had it since 1990 and only used it to go fishing, it never saw
snow, rain or mud. It was originally bought in Wiley Texas. This jeep has a beautiful Daytona Pearl Gray paint job
with 3 coats of clear, simply beautiful paint job. Brand new custom Marine grade seats front and rear, brand new
Sony stereo mounted in a locked center console and new speakers. Brand new brakes all the way around, brand new
Billistein shocks, brand new polished aluminum front and rear Outlaw Differential Covers, brand new Flowmaster true
dual exhaust, brand new Hedman Headers, brand new chrome exhaust tips, everything welded nothing bolted on and this
thing sounds sweet and mufflers are not even broke in yet. Brand new metal dash and dash board. Brand new BF
Goodrich Mud Terrain Tires 33 x 12.50. Brand new spare tire and wheel. The original wheels have been polished to a
deep shine. Brand new rear one piece axle with posi. Brand new 4 x 4 locking hubs. Custom installed recessed LED
tail lights, all other lights work as they should. It has a tilt steering wheel. Brand new fender flares. This is
an exceptional Jeep, It is in Texas now, but will soon be going back home to Colorado. I am finishing a project at
Ft Hood in Killeen Texas and will be moving back in 10 days, if it comes back with me I am keeping it. New bikini
top, no other top or doors come with the Jeep. Well over $20,000 invested in this head turner. I have too many toys
but I will make room if need be. Please note this is a 1981 not a 2001, sorry for the confusion.

Autoblog Minute: FCA issues Uconnect software update amid hacking fears
Wed, Jul 29 2015Carjacking has gone wireless, as automakers and Congress scramble for a solution after a disturbing video on Wired showed a pair of researchers controlling a Jeep Cherokee remotely. Autoblog's Adam Morath and David Gluckman report on this edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Carjacking has gone wireless, as automakers and Congress scramble for a solution. I'm Adam Morath and this is your Autoblog Minute. Cars with wireless connections are susceptible to remote hacking, as demonstrated in a disturbing video on Wired.com. The segment showed two researchers remotely controlling a Jeep Cherokee, including running vehicle's the wipers, turning up the music, and ultimately shutting down [00:00:30] the Jeep while it was being driven on the highway by Wired senior writer Andy Greenberg. Washington took note. A press release issued from the desks of senators Ed Markey and Richard Blumenthal introduces legislation protecting drivers from auto security privacy risks. Fiat Chrysler, parent company of Jeep, has a solution for its customers. For more we go to Autoblog's David Gluckman. [GLUCKMAN INTERVIEW] Chrysler has worked with the Uconnect cellular provider Sprint to plug security holes on the carrier side. The vehicles themselves can't be updated wirelessly, so [00:01:00] the remaining changes require physical access. For that, customers have three options: One, download the Uconnect software update to a USB stick and install. Two, wait for FCA to send a USB stick with the latest software that they can install, or third, visit a dealer. Owners should do what they're most comfortable with. I made a video that walks through the whole process from download to install and it took about a half hour. [MORATH] David's full video tutorial of how to install the Uconnect fix can be seen on Autoblog. [00:01:30] It remains to be seen how the rest of the auto industry will respond to these security risks. For Autoblog, I'm Adam Morath. Daily Driver: 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X Edition
Thu, Apr 9 2015Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers that drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X Edition, reviewed by Adam Morath. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT Hi, I'm Adam Morath for Autoblog. Now, undoubtedly, one of the coolest things about this job is that you're in and out of so many different vehicles, but, I'll be honest, there are times where, if you're in very similar vehicles, they can start to run together a little bit. That's why I love getting into a car like this that just snaps you right out of it because it's so unique and so different from anything else on the market. Of course I'm talking about the Jeep Wrangler. I'm in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. This is the X Edition, which stands for X Games. Jeep is a big title sponsor of the 2015 Aspen X Games and you can see that all over this vehicle. You have white, glossy accent plastic in the interior; mountain graphics throughout the interior and exterior of the vehicle – a nod, obviously, to the winter sports and skiing that you would do out in Aspen. And then in keeping with that mountainous theme, you have an Alpine nine-stereo speaker system. I'll be honest, though, that some of it feels a little overdone to me. For instance, there's a power-bulge in the hood. Credit to Jeep: the vents are actually functional, but this is not the trim I would go for, just personally. It's one of those vehicles that people are always wondering, "I really like the look of it [and] I like the capability, but could I live with a Wrangler?" It's the same sort of question you'll get from people who are looking at a sports car, "could I actually live with this is my daily driver?" And I have to say, Jeep has come a long way – Wrangler, in particular, has come a long way – in terms of driving comfort. Of course, don't expect "Lexus quiet." You can probably hear it's a big noisy in the cabin. It's a bit of a bumpy ride. There are things about this vehicle that I could see being annoying in your day-to-day life. For instance, the door: it's essentially an external hinge on the door, but it doesn't stay open for you. So, if you're on any sort of a tilt, the door will come back in and you have to just prop it open with your leg. Little things like that.
