1980 Jeep Cj5 Golden Eagle on 2040-cars
Gadsden, Alabama, United States
I am listing this item for a friend of mine. It is a 1980 Jeep CJ5 "Golden Eagle" The jeep has 79255 miles which the owner told me that those are the actual miles. The jeep is black with tan interior and a tan best top soft top with the tan soft doors. It has a 360 V8 with a 4 speed manual transmission. The jeep runs and drives out excellent. I drove the jeep for an hour or so when I was taking pictures and it did great. The jeep looks rather original other than the engine which is now the 360 V8. The tires look to be in great shape and have lots of life left in them. The paint looks to be in rather good shape for the age of the vehicle.
These jeeps are becoming harder and harder to find in solid rust free shape as this one so don't let this opportunity pass up. If you have any further questions please call me at 256-312-4998 (Kyler) I accept paypal for the deposit only!!! |

Here's another look at the next-gen Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Thu, Mar 30 2017Yesterday, we got a sneak peek at the next generation Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. As you might expect, it looks a lot like the current Wrangler. Really, did you expect anything different? The big news is that the leaked images show that the doors and top are removable, something that was unclear until now. Thanks to our friends at JL Wrangler Forums, we have some pretty new renderings based on those same leaked images. While these aren't official, this should be pretty damn close to what the final production model will look like. While it may be all new, the design is just a revolution of the tried and true formula. Fans might burn down the factory if designers strayed too far. The entire body has been worked over, with changes to the grille, bumper, fenders, and lights. The square tail lights look a lot like those on the Renegade. We keep seeing more and more leaks and spy photos, so an official reveal can't be too far off. In addition to the four-door Wrangler Unlimited, look for the long awaited Wrangler pickup truck. Fiat 500X poised for Paris catwalk
Wed, 05 Feb 2014We've known for some time that the new, Fiat-based baby Jeep (which may or may not be called the Jeepster) is set to arrive at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. What we weren't sure of was whether its platform mate, the so-called Fiat 500X, would be doing so alongside or at a later date. Well, according to Reuters, we'll get to see the first all-wheel-drive 500 later this year in the City of Lights.
Yes, we can expect the 500X to arrive at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, according to an official with an Italian trade union. The unnamed source cited retooling at Fiat's Melfi factory, in southern Italy, which currently produces the Grande Punto. It's expected that the newest member of the growing 500 family will replace the Suzuki SX4-based Fiat Sedici, although when the X will go on sale remains an open question.
According to Reuters, both the Jeepster and 500X will be built alongside each other in Italy. Whether the 500X will cross the pond with it's slat-grilled cousin, though, remains to be seen (we're leaning towards yes).
Chrysler uses Super Bowl spots to honor troops, farmers
Sun, 03 Feb 2013How do you follow up such revered and successful ads as Chrysler's last two Super Bowl commercials? Imported from Detroit and Halftime in America should be given credit for giving the automaker's public perception a complete overhaul after its rescue from the brink with taxpayer money. What next, then?
We just found out during Super Bowl XLVII. This year Chrysler went with two commercials, one for Jeep and the other Ram. The two-minute-long Jeep commercial, called Whole Again, is narrated by Oprah Winfrey and presented as an open letter to the service men and women of America, simply expressing admiration for what they do - poignant message coming from a company whose history is so entwined with that of the military's.
The Ram commercial, called Farmer, honors the agricultural backbone of this country. Its soundtrack is a speech entitled "So God Made a Farmer" given by the famous radio broadcaster Paul Harvey, which plays over a slideshow of original photography commissioned by Ram. The images, of course, focus on farming and the people who do it for a living, and there's a few Ram trucks in there, as well.
