1979 Jeep CJ7. It is a 304 Quadra Trac automatic. This Jeep has 34,480 original miles. It was purchased new by the City of New Haven CT. It was used as a municipal vehicle mainly plow work until 1996 at which time it was sold to a used car dealership where it was again used as a plow vehicle. The mileage in 1996 was 33,139. It was owned by that dealership until 2011. The vehicle was never registered. There is no title to the Jeep. I have a letter from the City of Waterbury to the CT motor vehicle indicating that the vehicle was always a fleet vehicle and carried municipal registration. The title had been lost over the 17 years it was owned by the City. I have all the paperwork from the City of New Haven and motor vehicle paperwork.

The Jeep ran and drove up until about 1 year ago. The frame is extremely rotted in the rear and the gas tank is ready to fall out. The gas tank is the 15 gallon metal tank and has a rotted hole in it. The fuel lines are also rotted. That is why it will no longer run. The body is rotted but has been patched up over the years. The drivetrain is in good working condition. The motor is all original and even has the original AMC smog pump still attached. The blue paint on the engine is still visible in places. There are no seats in it. The dash is uncut and it has the original dashpad and visors. The nose on the Jeep is perfect due to always having a plow on it. There is no rot on the fenders or grille. The doors are upgrades to the pin style. The hardtop is also a newer CJ top. I have all the original white wheels. The tires were bias ply and no longer held air so I installed the rollers that are on it now. It still has the plow wiring but the plow had been removed.

Jeep is for sale locally and can be sold at any time. There is no title to this vehicle. I had to check something in the title box. The vehicle will have to be towed.

I can be reached at 609-529-6188. Thank you.

2015 Jeep Renegade brings the cute

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The jig is up, the noose is out, we finally found it: the Renegade that Jeep has made, retrieved for a bounty.
Okay, enough of that. Meet the Renegade - Jeep's cute little compact crossover that makes its official debut here at the Geneva Motor Show. We recently brought you a massive Deep Dive into what makes the Renegade tick, and we're now getting our first live look at the tiny Jeep, live from its coming out party in Switzerland.
With the exception of associate editor Jonathon Ramsey, who doesn't know what he's talking about, we at Autoblog are kind of smitten with the little Jeep - it's a really unique package, featuring details that really make it kind of special (notice that jerry can pattern in the taillights, for example). Jeep will offer the Renegade with either a 1.4-liter turbo-four (from the Fiat 500L) or a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four (from the Dodge Dart), with either a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic. There will even be a Trailhawk version with four-wheel drive - properly trail-rated, to boot. The Renegade also features a nifty new My Sky removable roof panel system, giving this little cutie sort of a baby Wrangler feel.

2013 AEV Brute Double Cab

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

These are the guys who bring an M777 howitzer to a knife fight. In terms of overall rugged utility, the all-new 2013 Brute Double Cab from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is about as overkill as they come, and we can't seem to get enough of the beasts that this company produces. Unlike most aftermarket firms, always striving to lower cost and increase volume (but at the expense of quality), Michigan-based AEV takes pride in its OEM-quality design, engineering, manufacturing and testing. Everything is as good, or better, than the stuff from the factory, and they have been doing it this way for more than 15 years.
Launched at the recent 2012 SEMA show was the 2013 AEV Brute Double Cab. Its debut marked the company's expansion to a four-door Brute on the newer JK platform (drawing inspiration from the Land Rover Defender 130). I recently spent a few hours with the new truck in sunny Southern California, though unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was limited to pavement-only driving impressions.

Jeep Wrangler likely to get aluminum body, will stay in Toledo

Mon, 27 Oct 2014

Perhaps more than any other vehicle currently for sale in the United States, the Jeep Wrangler is viewed by purist fans as a vehicle that simply must maintain the status quo. In this case, that means a body-on-frame design, solid axles, a relatively large engine sitting up front and a removable top. It's always been that way, and it always will be.
Maybe.
According to the most recent reports, the next-generation Jeep will continue to soldier forth with a full steel chassis underneath its stamped bodywork. The biggest change, reports Automotive News, will be that said panels will be hewn from aluminum instead of steel, a seismic shift of a transition not unlike what's happened with the new Ford F-150. Because it won't be a unibody, the SUV will likely continue to be assembled in Toledo, OH as it (almost) always has been - the latter has been a source of heartburn in recent weeks for the Northwestern city in the Buckeye State.
