LOW RESERVE.  RARE COLOR CJ.  MUST SELL!!!!!!!

Up for auction is my 1977 Jeep CJ7 base model, 258 6 Cyl, 4x4, 4 Speed Manual Transmission with low range.  I have owned the jeep a year or so and unfortunately need to seel it.  As far as I know it has 63K Original Miles. Original paint color and a numbers matching jeep. The paint on the Jeep looks great from a distance but once up close you can tell that it is 36 years old.  The jeep only has 1 spot of rust and that is very small on the drivers front fender(See Picture). No where else on the jeep has ANY RUST. Floor boards are original and in perfect shape. The under side of the jeep has no patches.  LOOK AT THE PICTURES.  Small dent on one of the front fenders. This jeep has not had any bondo work as far as I know.  It has two small places on the passenger side where the paint has peeled and now has black paint covering the spot.   What you see is what you get. Want a great jeep for a restore or a great daily driver than this is it. I drive it everyday. Engine is great shape, no smoke, leaks ect. Great daily driver, factory no carpet utility jeep. The gas gauge does not work and was never worth dropping the tank over.  Temp gauge is bad, sensor is new but did not want to replace the cluster as it is the original miles on the jeep.  Brake light is dysfunctional for what ever reason.  Jeep has a tool box and two pioneer speakers under the back seat.

Original hardtop and hard doors.  Do not have a soft top to go with it.  Top has never been painted and has the original texture to it.  All glass is in good shape for age.

List of new parts: New 4x4 locking Warn Hubs, New Brakes, Rotors, Hubs, Pads, Calipers, New Tires, New ignition system including ECI, plugs, wires, coil, distributor, cap ect., New Ford 2100 Carburetor, New CD Player. That is all that I can think of but I have probably left out a bunch.

YOU WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER JEEP IN THIS SHAPE FOR THIS PRICE. Look at what is for sale.  The Jeep has just been listed for sale locally as I MUST SELL IT.  SO, I reserve the right to end the auction early.  I do not offer any type of warranty in any shape form or fashion.  It is a 36 year old jeep and will have the usual things wrong.  However, this is a great daily driver or a perfect base to drop on some new paint.  I have described the jeep to the best of my ability and tried to be very detailed because I want you to know what your getting.  BUT Please feel free to ask me questions.

I require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction.  Full payment will be required within 7 days of the close of auction and in cash only or thru bank transfer.  No checks, cashiers checks, ect.  You will be responsible for picking up the Jeep in person within 7 days of the close of the auction.  I will work with any shipping company you prefer but you will pay the entire cost of shipping. Please read and look over everything prior to bidding.  Ask questions please.  I have more photos available and a video of the jeep starting and running perfect.  You bid you bought it.

Merecedes-Benz EQS, Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and Subaru Forester Wilderness | Autoblog Podcast #702

Fri, Oct 29 2021

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor James Riswick. They've been driving some exciting new EVs, like the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and the Mercedes-Benz EQS. They also discuss driving the new Subaru Forester Wilderness, as well as the perfectly agreeable Toyota Camry XSE Hybrid. James compares four big-name off-roaders — the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, Toyota 4Runner and Land Rover Defender — based on their ability to accommodate a big load of luggage. Next they reach into the mailbag for comments on the Genesis GV70, as well as a Spend My Money question about replacing a wrecked Subaru Ascent with another three-row SUV. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. Jeep Wrangler pickup renderings: Latest imaginings of the Scrambler

Wed, Apr 4 2018

The Jeep Wrangler-based JT pickup, which everybody refers to as Scrambler (boy, we're sure going to be surprised if that isn't the real name), doesn't hit the showroom floor until April 2019. That is a long time to wait. What's an impatient nation of Jeep fans to do in the intervening year? Speculate on what it looks like, of course. Jeep Scrambler Forum has sent renderings of the truck our way, shown in the photo gallery above. They depict the Scrambler in two scenes and in four classic colors: Sarge Green, Hella Yella, Sting-Gray and Firecracker Red. The illustrations, we're told, are based on "spy photos, CAD leaks and insider tips we've received." View 7 Photos Like the coming Ford Ranger, the Jeep truck stands to make a huge splash in the hot midsize pickup market, with Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne saying he expects to see 100,000 Wrangler pickups sold each year. Compare these latest renderings with a set of renderings that ran back in June on JL Wrangler Forums. (We're reprising a gallery of them below, along with a gallery of spy shots.) You'll note some differences between them and the latest renderings, a key one being the seeming absence of that kink (Jeepmeister kink?) where truck cab meets bed. See what other differences you can spot. It'll be a good way to help pass the time until next April. Marchionne may stay with FCA until 2020

Mon, Aug 31 2015

We might get to see Sergio Marchionne and his vast array of sweaters in the auto industry for even longer than expected. The FCA CEO suggested last year that he would retire from the automaker when its current five-year plan was complete in 2018. Now, he has tentatively extended that point out to at least 2020. "I can do this for another five years if you push me, right? Beyond that, I ain't gonna do it, and I don't want to," he said to Automotive News. That would give Marchionne a 16-year career at the top from joining Fiat in 2004 to possibly leaving FCA in 2020. Although, take the CEO's statement with a grain of salt because he has made multiple statements about the timing for his retirement. In 2012, Marchionne said he would only remain in charge until 2015, which is, well, now. Those five years might also go quite quickly because Marchionne is a busy guy with the Ferrari IPO, the attempted merger with General Motors, implementing FCA's five-year plan, and many other projects. He's already considering the next CEO, though. "My purpose in life is to find the Kuniskises of the world, the Manleys, the Biglands, the Palmers," Marchionne said to Automotive News, referencing the heads at Dodge, Jeep, FCA North America, and the company's chief financial officer, respectively. "I told them, 'One of you is going to do what I do one day. I don't know who that is, but one of you is going to do it.'"
