You are bidding on great rare find. This jeep was owned by a 65 year old man who had started restoring it for him and his wife. I had purchased it from him with hopes to do the same, but the wife informed me that I have too many projects so my loss is your gain... First the Bad, the jeep will need a little work to make her drivable. It starts and runs well, has some hesitation due to the stale gas but does not have any oil smoke. I replaced the coil and electronic ignition module and she fired right up. I have not gotten her up to highway speeds just around the parking lot. the front fenders are rusted through and will require replacing, the hood is dented and will need replaced the rear seat has been removed and is not with the jeep. The tub has some rust and bondo but could be repaired overall it is pretty solid, I certainly have seen worse. Now for the good!!! The top was recently replaced and is in great condition, the tires have less then 100 miles on them, there is some dry rot in between the treads but nothing to be concerned about 31x10.50x15 Bf Goodrich all terrains. The front seats are recently replaced Bestop brand low backs, the whole seats not just covers! $159 a piece new. The frame is solid no rust through, has some surface flaking but does not appear to be through at all. the Dash is in great condition other than the small crack that i pictured. It is equipped with a factory jeep tachometer, that i have seen do as much as $300.00 here on ebay! The fuel tank appears to have been recently replaced as well. This jeep would be a great project for someone or if you already have a project this would supply alot of parts!!! This jeep is being sold as is no warranty. It is for sale locally so i reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Any questions feel free to call me 410-320-3410 Thanks and Happy Bidding!! :-)

Europe gets Jeep Wrangler Polar limited edition
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Jeep will be bringing an all-new, limited-edition model to the European market called the Wrangler Polar. Based on the Wrangler Sahara and set to make its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Wrangler Polar sports new Hyrdro Blue paint, gloss black 18-inch wheels, a body-color hardtop, and the regular mix of Mopar styling accessories. Billet Silver Metallic and Bright White are available for those that don't dig the glossy blue, while a two-door variant will be available in addition to the four-door pictured above.
The Polar's interior features similar tweaks; Pearl White contrast stitching can be found on both the seats and steering wheel, while ceramic White bezels and other accents give a nice contrasting look to the cabin.
Underhood sits an engine that should make American Wrangler enthusiasts weep - a 2.8-liter, four-cylinder turbodiesel. With 200 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque channeled through a five-speed automatic transmission, the Wrangler Polar should handle itself just fine on normal roads. British buyers will also be able to select the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. For rougher stuff, Dana axles can be found front and rear (Dana 30 up front and Dana 44 in back), while the Command-Trac four-wheel-drive system and its two-speed transfer case should be enough for when the roads disappear.

Jeep mulling power top for next Wrangler
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Jeep is hard at work on the next-generation Wrangler, though the truck is still a few years from hitting the trails. The new model will still be aimed at off-roaders, but rumors suggest it will be a little more comfortable than previous versions to appeal to more people.
According to Road and Track, Jeep is developing a power-retractable top as an expensive option for the Wrangler. There is no word if the top in question is a sliding canvas rollback like the ones found on many European vehicles or a full convertible hardtop or softtop, nor do we know whether it would be made available on two- or four-door models. It might be a nice feature for some buyers but would certainly add complexity to a truck already known for its ruggedness. We asked Jeep for confirmation, but Jeep spokesperson Todd Goyer could only remind us that the company "can't comment about future products."
In news that is likely to irk the faithful, R&T reports the next model may also ditch its folding windshield for improved safety and possibly even get rid of its rear-mounted, full-size spare tire. The new Wrangler won't go completely soft, though, and will reportedly still feature removable doors and solid axles.
