I am selling my 1973 Jeep CJ-5 that is in great condition. The paint is new and their is no rust anywhere.  This is an Arizona Vehicle and it is rust free.  This Jeep is ready to go.  The Jeep has a factory 304 V8 engine, Edelbrock valve covers, Holly Carburetor, new alternator and voltage regulator, battery is only 18 months old, headers, true dual exhaust, 3 speed manual transmission, power steering, new bikini top and aftermarket gauges.  Everything on the engine has been replaced.  I don't know the mileage on the jeep.  The tires have only a few hundred miles on them.  The rims are a deep dish rim and have no scrapes or nicks on them.  This Jeep has the original tail gate that many jeeps have had cut away.  The interior has been coated with bed liner to keep it protected.  The interior seats are brand new, there are no rips or tears in the material.  This is not my daily driver, but I start it up and drive it at least every other day and take it out as much as I can.  I don't take it in the mud or on the trails.  I think it looks too nice to get dirty.  The 4 wheel drive works and it has locking hubs.  I have a clean AZ title in hand.

I have the Jeep for sale locally as well, so I can end the listing early if it sells.  If you have any questions or need any additional pictures you can call me at 724-448-1780.  The Jeep is located in Scottsdale, AZ and I am available to meet in person to show the Jeep.

Payment of $500 is due via paypal within 24 hours after the auction has ended.  The rest of the payment is due within 7 days at time of pickup.  I will only accept cash or a certified bank check for the remaining balance.

I will not ship the vehicle, but if you would like it shipped and set up everything, I have no problem meeting a transport company to give them the jeep to ship to you.  My zip code is 85251.  I must have full payment before I release the vehicle.

Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable

Sun, 10 Aug 2014

A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.

Jeep gives a trio of customs an encore showing at SEMA

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

While Jeep certainly had some new customs on display at this year's SEMA show, it wasn't afraid to recycle a few that people might have missed from earlier this year. The maker of many beloved off-roaders already displayed the Jeep Cherokee Dakar, Maximum Performance Wrangler and Wrangler Mojo at the 2014 Easter Safari, but they all made it to SEMA for an encore.
Based around the Trailhawk, the Cherokee Dakar (pictured above) imagines an even more off-road-capable version of the crossover. The concept wears a mix of Silver Steel Stain paint with Flame Red graphics and rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires. To back up the rugged look, the Dakar is fitted with rock rails and skid plates protecting the oil pan, front suspension, fuel tank and other underbody parts. It also sports prototype parts from Jeep Performance Parts, including a lift kit and fender flares.
The Wrangler is one of the paragons of off-roading, and as the name suggests, the Maximum Performance Wrangler concept is meant to be the ultimate example of what it can do. The custom features locking Dana 60 axles front and rear, a 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case, prototype 4-inch lift kit and 37-inch Mud Terrain tires over beadlock wheels. To stay on the trails well into the night, a bar of LEDs is mounted above the windshield. And finally, the Mopar Blue exterior kind of makes the vehicle look like the world's toughest blueberry.

Jeep follows up Super Bowl spot with call to help the USO

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Once again, Chrysler had one of the most talked about Super Bowl commercials with its two-minute Whole Again Jeep spot, which was used to highlight its Operation SAFE Return program for US military personnel returning home from active duty. As part of this campaign, Jeep announced today that it will be donating up to $300,000 to the United Services Organizations (USO), and you can help.
Simply tweet using the #joinOSR hashtag on Twitter, visit the Yahoo! homepage or go to the Jeep Operation SAFE Return website, and Jeep will donate $1 to a fund that provides returning troops things like employment assistance and incentives to buy new vehicles. Jeep is also donating to this charity to the tune of $250 for each Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited (including the Freedom Edition model) and Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition model sold.
