1969 Kaiser Jeepster Commando Pick up

ONLY BID IF YOU ARE LEGIT AND CAN PAY VIA
THE RULES GUIDE LINED IN THE AD , its not that hard.
WE as a seller are legit and honest and here to help
please dont waste our time.  LOW HONEST RESERVE bid to win !

Heres your chance to own a pretty rare model
Jeepster Commando Truck (or half cab) with the
spare tire continental kit on it (haha)

You may say this is the original Scrambler !!

As most people know, usually all you see are these in there
Wagon form, but this pick up truck version is way more rare.
this Jeepsters has been a farm truck of sorts here in the Az
desert most of its life. Other then a little rust along the rockers
its a very rust free Jeep. Also being a ranch truck, it wasnt used
a whole lot and mostly just for stuff around the ranch and short
trips into town. In the last 10 yrs its barely been used at all.
It does run and drive , its not fast but has lots of torque.
Motor doesnt smoke or make any weird noises, but it does sound
like it could a good tune up and maybe a carb rebuild from sitting.
Gas in the tank is all new and good. Trans and brakes feel great.
2 pretty cool options this truck has is PS and PB and both work great
They could be original or added at one time, not sure.

Shows 95k aprox on the odometer, prob original

DRIVETRAIN:
pretty much all original under the hood, 225 V6
factory diffs and trans, which all seem to work great for their
age. But these things where built to last and this one has stood
the test of time for being a work horse on a ranch. Tires are too
bad either. To start the car someone installed a push button
switch on the dash. So you use that and the key to start the car.
Sometimes it wont crank, so Im guessing maybe one of the switches
is getting worn out from age. That or maybe it may need some new
battery cables. We did install a new starter
solenoid last week.
Choke works and I suggest using it when its cold. It runs a little
rough at idle. When you are on the gas, it runs much better.
Front hubs are unlocking / locking aka Part time, rear is locking Im sure.

INTERIOR: mostly all original and showing its age from the az
heat and sun too. Indoor carpet and seat covers didnt help much.
But if you recovered the seats and sunvisors it would help alot.
It also needs a good cleaning. Floors have some surface rust but
not soft. Its not pretty, but seems to functional and intact and
mostly original too.

EXTERIOR: the original color was 419 Prairie Gold and for some reason the
wheelwells are Red. Not sure if thats stock or not but looks original. The
silver paint on there now looks like it was done in someones driveway.
The body for the most part looks very straight, but the cab did get some dents
in it. The metal on this is so thick, that I think any damaged pcs would be
fixable. There was some mild rust on the rockers that will need patching
if you want to take it that far. Headlights work, but didnt see the taillights
working. Should be pretty simple, not much to the wiring on this thing.
The homemade bumpers would knock down a small building (haha) they
are stout, but not original of course. It does have a tow hitch in the back
AND comes with a nice front tow bar too. No pitting on what little chrome
is on the truck. Doors all lock like they should and all the glass looks ok
and windows work. Obviously some things have been added to the body but
its all reverse-able too if you want to put it back to stock.

SUSPENSION: looks to be all stock and original , solid and almost
bullet proof the way it came from the factory. Shocks looks to be
aftermarket and decent too. And it doesnt ride all that bad either
for as stout as it is. Not sure what more I can say, but please check out
ALL the pics below.

Check out ALL the pics below ----->

it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a
slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra schroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.
more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.

Hope you like the detailed pics
The interior floors are in nice shape as in much of the body
Im sure there is some old repairs done over the years
but it is a Project truck if you want to restore it, if you want
It just to go on trails and wheeling, it needs very little.

There you have it, probably The BEST represented JEEPS on Ebay.

Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes.

Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort
of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.

Our auctions have NOTHING to hide .
Restore a car like this yourself or locally and you know
exactly what you have in the end.

Email us with ANY questions before you bid please

Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor
intensive which means overall cost is less too !

until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER

Along with ANY other questions you may have.

On May-28-14 at 11:45:45 PDT, seller added the following information:

The ignition or starter part is still giving me issues and works when it

feels like it, BUT the funny thing is if I put a batter box or charger
on the battery, it will start EVERTIME when I do that. So not sure if its
still a cable, connection or old switch. Just want to put that out there before
the auction ends.

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee pricing leaks out

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

With our deep dive and auto show coverage of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee revealed at the Detroit Auto Show, we brought you as much information as Chrysler would allow us to, but one thing we're still left in the dark about was the pricing. It would seem that Jeep Garage might have the answer for that. The Jeep enthusiast forum claims to have gotten its hands on the ordering and pricing breakdown for the updated Grand Cherokee, and while a Jeep representative has yet to get back to us as to the validity of the site's claim, these preliminary numbers look pretty kosher to us.
In base form, the two-wheel-drive Laredo will reportedly start at $28,795, which is a $1,100 increase over the 2013 model year, and the new Grand Cherokee Summit trim level starts at $47,995 for 4x2 models and $50,995 for the 4x4. Waiting for the new diesel engine? The torquey new 3.0-liter oil-burner will be a $4,500 option on Limited, Overland and Summit 4x4 models, but 4x2 pricing (and availability) are not known. As for the range-topping Grand Cherokee SRT (no longer called the SRT8), this added performance could run you an extra $2,700 with a new starting price of $62,995. More importantly, loaded to the gills with all available options, the 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT will top out at around $72,400 - or around $6,000 more than a fully loaded 2013 GC SRT8.
We'll let you know if the gang over at Jeep get back to us with any confirmation, but until then, head over to Jeep Garage to see the pricing details it has listed.

2015 Jeep Renegade brings the cute

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The jig is up, the noose is out, we finally found it: the Renegade that Jeep has made, retrieved for a bounty.
Okay, enough of that. Meet the Renegade - Jeep's cute little compact crossover that makes its official debut here at the Geneva Motor Show. We recently brought you a massive Deep Dive into what makes the Renegade tick, and we're now getting our first live look at the tiny Jeep, live from its coming out party in Switzerland.
With the exception of associate editor Jonathon Ramsey, who doesn't know what he's talking about, we at Autoblog are kind of smitten with the little Jeep - it's a really unique package, featuring details that really make it kind of special (notice that jerry can pattern in the taillights, for example). Jeep will offer the Renegade with either a 1.4-liter turbo-four (from the Fiat 500L) or a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four (from the Dodge Dart), with either a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic. There will even be a Trailhawk version with four-wheel drive - properly trail-rated, to boot. The Renegade also features a nifty new My Sky removable roof panel system, giving this little cutie sort of a baby Wrangler feel.
