VEHICLE INFO

The Clean history report is available for this vehicle. (the first page and most pertinent info is viewable in 2nd photograph in the template!) Please call Jonathan on 813 545 0303 with any questions. Thanks.

There are only a handful of cars that offer Exclusivity, Beauty and Performance. This Beautiful Low Mileage, predominantly Florida 2003 Jaguar XK8 Convertible 4.2 V8 is one such car and is finished in gorgeous and sought after Platinum Silver Metallic with Perfectly contrasting Charcoal leather interior and 'Burl Walnut' trim. The convertible top is black.

Here is a great opportunity to acquire the 4.2 powered 6 speed Jaguar XK8 with only 42k miles!!!! Tough to find with these miles!

The car is equipped with the desirable factory APOLLO 19 inch rims.( $1,100.00 factory option). Arguably the best looking factory rim available for the XK8!!!!

The car has the very attractive dual/ triple instrument dial configuration on the interior.

You will look and feel FABULOUS driving this car!!!!. The Pirelli sport tires are very good all around showing around 75% tread life.

This Jaguar is the first year of the superb 300 Horsepower 4.2 V8 mated to a 6 speed ZF transmission which gives more power and better MPG (26 HWY...I got 27.2 average on a recent 1100 mile trip in a similar car!)) than the previous, also superb 4.0 V8. With 900 positive part number changes from the 2002 model year this is the 'sweet spot' year and the one to have as far as 'bang for the buck' performance and reliability goes. The most important change of course, being the all new 4.2L motor and 6 speed ZF transmission.

This car is in excellent condition throughout. The interior is in excellent condition with no tears, burns etc apparent. The headliner is in excellent shape. A Non Smoker Vehicle! The paint has the luster of new and it drives as good, tight and strong as you would expect a 42k miles car to do. The engine and transmission are strong and smooth and ALL electrical components and systems, including the convertible top operate as they should. The convertible top itself is in excellent condition.

NO ACCIDENTS on this Southern car !!!!! Please review the Autocheck history report in the 2nd photo.

This is a NON SMOKER car!!!!

PLATINUM SILVER METALLIC is always desirable and will hold its value well. I am having a tough time locating these cars right now so don't delay.

What else do you get? The usual Jaguar refinements are here of course and also to include Factory options, HEATED FRONT SEATS, Alpine Premium Sound, Rain Sensing Wipers , Rear Park Control, 12 way power and 3 Driver Memory Seats, power Tilt Telescope Steering Whee! The list goes on.

This car certainly has all the Presence and Style you would expect. You will feel exquisitely at one with the world behind the wheel of this car, Guaranteed!!!!!!! The new owner of this Jaguar will be highly delighted on all counts.

Jaguar Land Rover in talks for Southern US factory

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

Jaguar Land Rover is getting serious about global expansion, and that means it can't only build its vehicles in the UK anymore. The British automaker is cutting the ribbon at its new plant in China tomorrow, marking the opening of its first factory outside the UK. In 2016, it will open another factory in Brazil. But the latest intel has it that JLR is looking into a US factory, as well.
The report, which comes to us from the Sunday Times by way of Automotive News Europe, indicates that the company is evaluating locations for a North American factory, with options centering around Southern right-to-work states like South Carolina, where BMW operates its plant in Spartanburg and a wide array of other automotive operations are based as well. The JLR plant would reportedly ramp up to a capacity of 200,000 units per year.
In related news, while that new plant JLR is inaugurating in Changshu, China, is initially slated to produce the Range Rover Evoque, it is also expected to start building the new Discovery Sport as well - just like the Halewood plant in the UK that has handled Evoque assembly from the start and which just built its first Discovery Sport, as well.

Ian Callum makes the Jaguar C-X75 concept street-legal

Thu, Feb 29 2024

Unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the Jaguar C-X75 could have been one of the British brand's wildest and coolest models. It received the green light for production, got canned, and resurfaced in the 2015 James Bond movie Spectre before disappearing for good. However, not everyone has forgotten it: Callum, the design firm founded by former Jaguar design boss Ian Callum, has made a C-X75 street-legal. Precisely how Callum's customer ended up with a C-X75 remains a mystery. The example modified is one of the four surviving stunt cars built by Williams Advanced Engineering for Spectre, so it might be the one that auction house RM Sotheby's offered at its Abu Dhabi sale in November 2019. The car was estimated to sell for anywhere between $800,000 and $1.2 million; it ended up not selling during the auction. Regardless, Callum was the right person to take on the Herculean task of making an obscure, experimental supercar street-legal, as he led the team that designed the model. His company made hundreds of small but significant changes including replacing the glass, adding a quieter exhaust with catalytic converters, making tuning changes to the supercharged, 5.0-liter V8, and fitting additional switches inside. Interestingly, the stunt cars were built with foam door mirrors. These had to be replaced with real mirrors fitted with turn signal repeaters. The team also took advantage of the tear-down to make visual improvements, such as reducing and aligning the panel gaps. The C-X75 received a new coat of paint, and engineers made changes to the suspension system — they notably adjusted the ride height. It helps that this version of the C-X75 uses an engine already approved for road use; the V8 has powered the Range Rover, among other cars. Callum's street-legal Jaguar C-X75 will make its public debut at the Bicester Heritage Scramble event held in England on April 21, 2024. How and why Jaguar designed an electric SUV

Tue, Nov 15 2016

Adrian Belew, front man of famed progressive rock band King Crimson and collaborator with Bowie, Zappa, and the Talking Heads, released a prescient song in 1982, but we didn't know exactly how prophetic it was until this week. The song was titled Big Electric Cat, and its lyrics seemed to predict nearly 35 years ago the unveiling of Jaguar's first all-electric vehicle, a production-ready crossover concept with the not-so-ingenious name, I-Pace. She arrives like a limo/Smooth and moving/On the prowl through the crowd/To the beat of the city/She glows in the dark/Wherever she parks/Concrete crumbles and the night rumbles. At first glimpse of the I-Pace, you may not have precisely the same feeling of disintegration as the roadbed Belew mentions, but there is no denying that the new Jag is important for the brand. Flush with investment from its corporate overlords at Tata, the company is on its most robust product offensive ever, rounding out its lineup to become a full-range manufacturer, investing in autonomous driving and projective head-up technologies, nearly doubling global sales, and now going electric. "This is probably the most important car since the E-Type, I really mean that," says Jaguar director of design Ian Callum. "And when we get this car out into production and it gains recognition and popularity, I think history will show it's a significant step for the brand. Not only because we're embracing the future, quite openly and honestly, but because we're going to beat the rest of them. Tesla is there already, but none of the rest." As a challenger brand – one not in the top of mind consideration set like rivals at Mercedes, Audi, or Lexus – Jaguars are made or broken on this kind of differentiation. The I-Pace is certainly distinctive, and looks like nothing else on the road. Like many contemporary Jaguars, its rear three-quarter view is its most compelling, with the slender half-round taillights inspired by the legendary E-Type that were first revived on the F-Type and have since become a signature. But here, the rear end is shaved off and in an angular concavity that seems an effort to take as much mass as possible out of the back, and one that echoes elsewhere on the vehicle: in the scalloped sides, in the continuous path of glass from the base of the front windshield to (almost) the base of the rear liftgate. But especially in the foreshortened and deep-nostriled hood.
