My wife's XK8. Great running car, very reliable, fast and comfortable. New brakes and rotors. I would drive it to California and back. Black paint still nice with normal wear. Nice original interior with normal wear , see pics. Tires have 50% left. One small dent on passenger side front fender (see pic).
Clear lemon NJ title: it means that the car was bought back early in its life by Jaguar because of a recall. The car was fixed and re-sold by Jaguar. There is a sticker in the door that shows the recall. The car kept the lemon title since but that doesn't affect the ability to drive and register the car anywhere. The power top is disconnected and the top has to be open and close manually which is an easy operation. The Jag dealer said it's due to a faulty safety module that I found available for $208 on ebay. The car has intermittent faulty message warnings: ABS, Stability control and sometime Rear bulb. Jaguar Ray Catena in Edison diagnosed a faulty ABS module and one wheel speed sensor. I have found both these parts easily available on ebay for $50 and $59, much cheaper than at the Jag dealer! I am selling the car as is and will not make these repairs. Spare wheel has the original brand new Pirelli spare tire. The car just passed the NJ inspection good for 2 years. We are driving it everyday. 2015 Jaguar F-Type V6 S Coupe
Wed, 03 Sep 2014My first, ill-fated job in the auto world was at an exotic car dealer in metro Detroit. The job itself sucked, but the cars, they were exceptional. Amidst a sea of Tiptronic Porsche Boxsters, first-gen Mercedes-Benz SLKs and abused second-generation Range Rovers, there were some real gems.
In particular, I have fond memories of a trio of undrivable Jaguar E-Types. Two Series II coupes as well as a Series III convertible (that featured a mostly broken roof) spent the entirety of my brief tenure at the dealership in the back of the musty service garage. I'd make side trips through there just to see the trio of E-Types, which rarely failed to put a big, ridiculous grin on my face.
Since that time in the summer of 2005, there hasn't been a single Jag that's been capable of eliciting the same goofy smile. Not the XFR-S, with its un-aristocratic wing, nor the XKR-S. At the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, though, Jaguar introduced this F-Type Coupe. Sure, the droptop model had been around for a bit, but I thought it was the new coupe that most captured the E-Type's classic aesthetic, with a swooping roofline, those gorgeous rear haunches and a long, powerful hood. I had to drive one.
2013 Jaguar XF 2.0T
Fri, 10 May 2013Jaguar is moving to modernize its XF engine lineup - once the exclusive territory of V8 mills - with a range including a turbo four, a supercharged six and supercharged V8s of various potencies. Personally, I'll miss the combination of this smooth looking and driving XF sedan, and the lazy power of the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter engine, even if the super six has earned some praise in other applications.
The truth is that the four, six, eight lineup for the XF makes a lot of sense, and this 2.0T version of the sedan is far better than I expected it to be. In fact, there's a legitimate argument to be made for it as the XF that works the best for the largest group of customers. Here's why:
