BEAUTIFUL 2005 XK8 WITH RARE SEAFROST GREEN PAINT.  THE PAINT AND BODY ARE STILL IN SUPER NICE CONDITION.   THERE ARE NO RIPS OR TARES IN THE LEATHER.  JUST SIGNS OF MINIMAL USE.  THE SEATS ARE HEATED AND WORK VERY WELL.  THE TIRES HAVE PLENTY OF TREAD LIFE LEFT ON THEM.  THE REARS ARE ALMOST NEW.  THE TOP IS STILL IN VERY NICE CONDITION FOR THE YEAR. THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONAL CAR FOR A 2005.  STILL TURNS HEADS WHEREVER WE GO.  I JUST RECENTLY HAD HER DETAILED INSIDE AND OUT INCLUDING UNDER THE HOOD.  IT WOULDN'T BE ANY NICER IF YOU WERE BUYING FROM A JAG DEALER. AS LONG AS YOU KNOW THIS IS A VERY, VERY NICE 2005 AND NOT A 2013 CAR YOU WILL BE VERY IMPRESSED WITH NO DISAPPOINTMENTS.  I CAN NOT SHIP AND WILL NOT SELL OUTSIDE OF THE U.S. UNLESS YOU MAKE ALL ARRANGEMENTS AND PAY IN U.S. DOLLARS.  I WILL BE GLAD TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS AND YOU CAN INSPECT CAR BEFORE PURCHASE.

Jaguar XK and F-Type meet for final sibling faceoff

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

There's nothing that real, dyed-in-the-wool car geeks love so much as to say "Old Car X is actually a lot better than New Car Y." For reasons that defy both logic and science, we all (your author included) are able to, almost simultaneously, bitch about needed advancements in current vehicles and then bemoan character lost in the next crop.
Mitsubishi Evo models have been supremely prone to this bifurcation of opinion in recent years (ask an Evo IX fanboy about the Evo X sometime... ), and performance cars wearing WRX, Mustang, and M3 badges have been deeply subject to it, as well.
The Jaguar XK and F-Type are not exactly in the same one-model, generational-changeover form as those mentioned above, but that doesn't mean that there aren't defenders of both the old dog and the new joint. Autocar seeks the truth of the matter in this new video, and we're just happy to come along for the ride. May the best sib win.

2017 Jaguar Model Year Preview and Updates

Wed, Mar 1 2017

Jaguar, the upscale Brit, is currently enjoying a resurgence in the US, built on an improved value proposition, credible quality, better reliability, and an expanded lineup. That larger lineup now includes an all-new XE four door sedan and Jaguar's first crossover, the F-Pace - pictured above. JAGUAR F-TYPE: An entry-level F-Type has been added to the lineup, improving its accessibility by some $3,600 on the F-Type coupe and roughly $2,700 for the F-Type convertible. XE: Jaguar's compact four door is all-new, and intended to make headway into the sport sedan market long dominated by BMW's 3 Series and, more recently, Audi's A4. The XE brings a tightly drawn platform, responsive drive character and three powertrains to the table, including a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel. It is on sale now. XF: Jaguar's midsize 'saloon' adds a 2.0-liter turbodiesel to its menu, along with Configurable Dynamics. This optional package allows individual settings for suspension, steering, throttle and transmission. XJ: Jaguar's 2017 XJ builds on the 2016 refresh with the addition of new colors and wheels. F-Pace: Jaguar's first crossover has everything it needs to compete with Porsche's Macan, BMW's X3/X5 and M-B's GLC/GLE. As this suggests, the F-Pace is a 'tweener, sitting between compact and midsize crossovers. It seats five, and is available with either a 2.0-liter turbodiesel or supercharged V6. The line starts at your local Jaguar showroom.

Check out Harry Metcalfe's 1978 Jaguar XJ 5.3 V12 Coupe

Fri, Feb 6 2015

Jaguar may have built its business producing luxury sedans, but it also made some superb coupes over the years, from the XK120 through the E-Type, XJS and XJ220 to today's F-Type. The automaker has largely steered clear of turning its four-door models into two-doors, but there was a time when it did exactly that. And Harry Metcalfe, former editor of the British car magazine Evo, just happens to have one in his garage. Based on the Series II XJ sedan, the XJ Coupe was long and elegant – something along the lines of what you might see today in the form of the Mercedes S-Class Coupe, but smaller and built the better part of four decades ago. With only around 10,000 of them made, the pillar-less XJ-C was much rarer than the more iconic E-Type, and even fewer of them packed the 5.3-liter fuel-injected V12 engine. That makes the former Evo editor's ride a rather scarce one indeed, and well worth checking out in his latest video clip.
