If you’ve been looking for a low mileage XK8 this is it. At 38,000 miles this car is barely broken in. Everything works as new. I have had a lot of high performance sports cars and beats them all as far grace beauty and exhilarating performance. In the first 12 years of it’s this car mostly sit in a garage, when we bought it in 2012 it had less than 8,000 miles on. Yes, it was owed by a rich old lady who never drove it. At 24,000 Replaced Lf. Front Wheel Bearings At 22,000 New water pump with Upgraded Metal Blades, Thermostat and Replaced Drive Belt At 13,000 Replace Rt. Front Wheel Bearings At 13,000 Replaced ECU At 12,000 Replaced Front and Rear Wishbone Bushings This car is in excellent mechanical condition, it does have some minor cosmetic flaws. (see photos) Exterior: Left Front fender had a golf ball dent repaired. When this was done we repainted the front hood and both fenders Drivers door tiny dent Drivers size quarter panel small arch shaped scratch and tiny dent where a bike fell. You have to get up close to see it. There is slight fading on the top of the rear trunk but it still buffs out to a nice shine with wax. Interior: The original leather is in amazing shape for a car of this age, there are no cracks but there are small imperfections. Drivers seat had a wear a stitch. There are a few tiny cracks in the wood trim at the shifter. A minor flaw at a stitch on the passenger seat. Drivers side speaker covers are secured by optional interior screws. Jay Leno's Garage features funnyman's 1963 Jaguar E-Type
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Jay Leno looks inward on this episode of his eponymous garage, checking out a 1963 Jaguar XKE that he bought earlier this year. It is an example of his favorite kind of car, that being original and unrestored. He bought the E-Type from its first owner, a woman who purchased it new, held on to it for 50 years and took excellent care of it. Having never been in an accident, Leno says even the paint is 85- to 90-percent original.
In the video, the XKE sits in front of two heavily modded XK120s and another '63 XKE, but Leno said all he's done - and all he plans to do - is clean it up and put on a modern set of wire wheels for safety.

Jaguar Land Rover output at two UK plants hit by chip shortage
Thu, Apr 22 2021LONDON — Output at two of Jaguar Land Rover's (JLR) British car factories will be temporarily halted from Monday, due to COVID-19 supply chain disruption, including a lack of semi-conductors, the firm said on Thursday. "We have adjusted production schedules for certain vehicles which means that our Castle Bromwich and Halewood manufacturing plants will be operating a limited period of non-production from Monday 26th April," the Tata Motors-owned company said. The COVID-19 pandemic has driven up demand for semiconductor chips for use in electronics like computers, as people worked from home, and suppliers are struggling to adjust, hitting output at many automakers. Trade flows have also been affected. On Wednesday, carmaker Stellantis said it would replace digital speedometers with more old-fashioned analogue ones in one of its Peugeot models, as the fallout continues. Renault's finance chief said on Thursday that car production fell by tens of thousands of vehicles in the first quarter as a result of the shortage. Output at JLR's third British car factory in Solihull, central England, will continue, the company said. "We are working closely with affected suppliers to resolve the issues and minimize the impact on customer orders wherever possible." Â
