This is an absolutely exceptional and extremely rare and increasingly collectible example of the last year made the 1996 Jaguar XJS 4.0L 6 cylinder 2+2 roadster with only 73,000 original miles. I recently bought this car from it's one owner in Sacramento,CA with 68,000 original miles. The paint is original, factory color of 'Jade Metallic Green' with striking upgraded Jaguar chrome wire wheels, Black factory canvas power soft top and with original doeskin 'Cream' leather interior with coffee piping along with matching cream tonneau cover. Always garaged, never smoked in. Beautiful walnut veneer dashboard. The interior is completely original with it's 'Jaguar' radio/cassette/6cd shuttle system and all options working. The engine is extremely strong and super smooth running with excellent oil pressure and which does not burn or leak oil. The temperature always remains cool and th car drives exactly like a virtually still new Jaguar with such low miles should - no shakes or rattles - very smooth and powerful. I have driven 5,000 miles in this car as second owner, I have replaced: New High Performance 16" Tires, new Bosch Battery, all 4 brakes & rotors, fresh synthetic oil & air filter, replaced anti-roll sway bushings and new bellows over axle. Engine compartment is emaculate. Full size spare tire with wire wheel & cover. Included I also have a CD disc of all types of Jaguar catalogs parts lists for the XJS and 5 other types from XKs Unlimited. All options, electric seats, windows, door locks, keyless remote, electric top, cruise control, a/c runs Cold! Have all documents from First owner and my documents from Jaguar dealership, all manuals, original window sticker listing car in 1996 at $62,980.00 + $2800.00 for upgrade to wire wheels. This car is a pleasure to drive, the ride is incredibly smooth, drive it anywhere anytime a real head turner. This past weekend I won 1st place in class at the 29th Annual British Car Day in Charleston, SC. October 26th 2013. This is truly a fabulous car inside and out ready to drive and/or show, you will not find a better XJS in this outstanding reliable condition. Make me an offer and thanks for looking. The XM radio is not included, will be removed with no markings. |

Jaguar E-Pace has an F-Type-inspired interior
Fri, Jun 16 2017Jaguar continues to test its new small crossover, tentatively dubbed E-Pace, and that means our spy photographers continue to capture it in the wild. This time, we got some photos of the interior. From what we can see, it follows in the footsteps of the the F-Type sports car, rather than Jaguar's sedans and larger F-Pace crossover. From the air vents down, the center stack gently slopes toward the shifter. It also has a large grab handle on the passenger side like that in the F-Type. This also makes the center stack feel more driver-centric. The shifter is also F-Type-inspired. While the Jaguar sedans and the F-Pace use a motorized dial that rises from the center console for shifting, the F-Type uses a conventional lever, as does this E-Pace. These interior design choices seem to indicate that Jaguar will market this E-Pace as being a sportier Jaguar than its existing lineup. Our spy photographer also caught this E-Pace prototype with the hatch up. This clearly shows that the E-Pace will have a radically raked rear window. Matched with the voluptuous rear fenders, the E-Pace should have a very aggressive look. As a side note, the open hatch also reveals that there are at least one or two members of the Jaguar team that like Budweiser. We still expect a reasonably long wait until the E-Pace makes its full debut, likely sometime next year at the earliest. We're also expecting the crossover to have a front-wheel-drive-based all-wheel-drive system like the Range Rover Evoque, and it may even use the Evoque platform. While not a bad platform or drive system, most any car enthusiast or journalist would agree that a rear-wheel drive platform would be more naturally sporty and in keeping with this car's interior and possible marketing. Jaguar builds F-Type to support Tour de France team [w/video]
Tue, 22 Jul 2014The Tour de France is typically a two-wheeled affair, dominated by cyclists yearning to capture the prestigious yellow jersey. While the 2014 event winds its way through Europe, Stage 20 will see an altogether different conveyance wind along the route between Bergerac and Périgueux - the Jaguar F-Type Coupe.
As part of its partnership with the British cyclists of Team Sky, Jag has enlisted its new Special Operations division to build a one-off F-Type Coupe, based on the 550-horsepower, supercharged R model.
SpecOps has removed the rear glass and come up with a creative solution to mount a pair of Team Sky's racing cycles in the back. Aside from that upgrade, the cabin boasts new upholstery in the colors of Team Sky's traditional livery. A separate power supply has been established below the bikes in what's left of the trunk, which provides juice for a set of radios and microphones, so that the team's director can communicate with the riders.
Jaguar XJ220 hooned remotely by a kid
Sat, 31 Aug 2013The Tax the Rich crew has a knack for indulging in automotive fantasies and capturing it all on video, such as a tug-of-war battle between two Ferrari F50s, drifting a Ferrari Enzo on gravel roads and even powersliding a Rolls-Royce Phantom on a field of wet grass. This latest video features a Jaguar XJ220 and a kid with an iPad, who somehow is able to control the old supercar with the Apple product.
No, there's no app for that (yet), and we lied - the boy isn't actually controlling the car - but it sure is nice to see the XJ220 in all its turbocharged, six-cylinder glory doing donuts and sliding across a grassy field. It jolts us to see the old Jaguar - capable of 217 miles per hour and once described by Jeremy Clarkson as having no brakes and massive turbo lag - thrown about like a rally car, but then we never imagined anybody would abuse a Rolls-Royce like that either. We'll continue to leave the high-stakes antics to Tax the Rich - we're just glad somebody had the guts to behave so badly in such a valuable machine. What else were they made for?
Be sure to check out the video below, if you have a pulse.
