Clearwater, Florida, United States

1995 Jaguar XJS Convertible 2+2 with the 4.0 litre 6 cylinder AJ16 motor and automatic transmission,RWD.

Durable and reliable engine with a very nice color combination at a reasonable price as this is a NO RESERVE auction!!!

This is a driver quality Jaguar convertible that is Garage kept and stays fresh with regular use. No leaks or gremlins.

Smooth running AJ16 engine, Auto transmission shifts flawlessly and the rear end is quiet. NEW brakes on all 4 wheels including pads and rotors. NOTE: rear brakes are on outside of hub for a much easier future brake repairs as compared with earlier models.

no play in front end. good shocks and suspension. Overall this car starts, runs and drives extremely well with very good acceleration and handling. Mechanically strong car. not cosmetically perfect but has the much more desirable AJ16 engine.

Body and undercarriage are clean and the convertible top is in very good condition with tight seal and rear window. New power top motor operates as it should with both rear windows going up and down with top as they should. Power windows, power seats, power antenna(new),directionals, wiper, horn, stereo, brake lights, reverse lights, headlights, climate control all work properly.

Jaguar sport wheels are in very good condition. front tires are new and rear tires are 60%. tread. full size spare in trunk.

Sapphire blue paint has normal use wear but very presentable. some chips and dings at close inspection but this is a 1995 car.

Beige leather has no rips or tears but should be treated often with hide food leather restorer. original leather. door panels and dash are in very good condition/clean armrests. nice finish on woodgrain wth slight finger nail chip at ac vent.

Rear bumper skirt was removed so that rear bumper could be streamlined for custom look, see pics. This gives the jaguar a more euro style. I thought the cumbersome body "facelift" made car look heavy and took away from natural lines of earlier xjs models.

I am offering this Jaguar xjs convertible at NO RESERVE but please contact me before bidding so that I can uphold the integrity of the auction. check my feedback for automobiles previously sold on Ebay as I am honest in the descriptions. I am a private collector and not a dealer. Please arrange shipping in a timely manner after the auction and payment are completed. I will assist in arranging for the car to be picked up by your shipper. The jaguar will remain insured and safely garaged until transport.

the convertible boot is in excellent condition and is beige in color. sticker on rear window is removable.

If you have any questions about the car please do not hesitate to contact me via ebay.

Jaguar confirms XE reveal for September 8

Tue, 15 Jul 2014

Jaguar has a whole raft of new products in the pipeline, from the long-awaited replacement for the XF mid-size sedan and a likely XJ-based replacement for the XK coupe and convertible to the production version of its C-X17 crossover concept. But arguably the most important will be the all-new XE, a compact sports sedan pointed squarely at the BMW 3 Series - a market segment which Jaguar last nipped at with the regrettable X-Type, one which it is now committed to tackling head on.
The British automaker has been trickling out a steady stream of details on its upcoming XE, from the initial announcement in March to the reveal of the disguised prototype in May and most recently the details released just last week of the new Ingenium engine family that will provide its motivation. Now Jaguar has confirmed the XE reveal timeframe and some more salient details of its chassis.
Set to be unveiled in London on September 8, the XE will reach European showrooms in 2015 and our shores in 2016. That's when buyers will be able to get their hands on what Jaguar is already characterizing as "a true driver's car; one that redefines the concept of the sports sedan."

Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Until then, take a look up top for images of the Range Rover-bodied Jaguar as it tests at Germany's Nürburgring. You can also scroll down for our March images for the C-X17 mules testing on public roads.

Jaguar planning two bodystyles for next XJ

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

As we alluded to in today's F-Type first drive, Jaguar hasn't been selling its wares in China for very long, and as a result, buyers there usually don't have the same appreciation for the brand's history. So you might reasonably think that the company's recent radical styling shift (kicked off by the 2008 XF) wouldn't be as jarring to the nation's buying populace since they really didn't have the automaker's more traditionally styled models from years past to compare them against.
Yet while Jaguar and its sister marque, Land Rover, continue to pick up steam in China's developing market, that apparently isn't necessarily the case. Local buyers there tend to have more conservative tastes when it comes to styling, preferring more upright dimensions, big back seats and larger quantities of traditional luxury materials (think: chrome and wood) than other markets currently find desirable. Thus, the very bold current-generation XJ sedan may be leaving some sales on the table.
According to Edmunds, Jag doesn't want to risk that, and as such, it is preparing two bodystyles for the next-generation XJ - one with the rakish coupe-like styling of the current model, and a more "old-school" three-box sedan designed to appeal to a wider swath of Chinese buyers.
