I decided to sell one of my xjs's as it is getting harder to maintain more than a few of them .

this is A very good car but not a show car . I cleaned the car a little bit before taking pictures for this listing , it has not been detailed , it would have looked much better if I had detailed it.
it is always a good idea to inspect the car before buying it either personally or using a third party like inspect my ride , they do a very good job pointing out all exterior imperfections and overall condition of the car .
I am not making any money on this car , I spent a lot of money and a lot of time for it however I only put a couple thousand miles on it since I owned it .
I  am not a car dealer so when it comes to a car I have to make myself happy even if I am hurting my own pocket , it gives me a lot of pleasure to bring the car to its best. most dealers wont even change the engine oil before selling a car .
the previous owner painted this car sapphire blue , it was originally British racing green .
the paint is good enough for a daily driver  , the paint has chipped off in a few or more locations , the interior is in good shape , engine is good and strong without the normal early morning smoke which most these cars develop after 10 years or so .
transmission is good and shifts well .
I never wanted to sell this car that is why I bought the best parts when it needed it .
recent works done are :
4 brand new boge shocks for rear
both transmission oil cooler line was replaced , this was an expensive job to do , most xjs owners ignore the leaking lines .
new headliner , they all start sagging after 10 years or so .
new trunk struts
brand new genuine valve cover gasket and spark plug boss seals , this costs double the aftermarket part .
new tie rod ends and alignment
new genuine front shock upper bushings
passenger door handle gasket
tps and throttle body was cleaned to clear the DTC code
new genuine thermostat , it costs 60 dollars however it is the only one which will keep the temp gauge needle where it belongs right on N.
new O2 sensor
new ignition wire , the correct GENUINE JAGUAR RC12yCC spark plugs ,distributor cap and rotor
NEW transmission oil filter and oil
brake system fluid has been flushed and replaced
rear end oil has been replaced
new fuel filter
both high and low side a/c service valve have been replaced with oem part .
I have fitted the genuine jaguar security switch in the center console to be able to turn it off when needed ( not many xjs's have this )
I should be able to include the original radio however if you want both radios you may have to pay extra .
the tires or ok , two of the are better that other two , they are pirelli 225/60R15
the wheel finish may not be perfect however all wheels are round and true and there is ZERO curb rash present on the wheels ,
all books and manuals are included
I have many different style wheels for late xjs , it will be offered for sale if a buyer wants to upgrade the wheels to a 1995 or 1996 xjs wheels .
I should be able to offer 1995 5 spoke , 1996 11 slot chrome and 1996 11 slot clear finished wheels, 1997 jaguar xjr 17 inch, or recent production 15 inch dayton wire wheels for extra money.
no engine light is on , everything works
please try to call me if you have any questions , i rather to talk to you than emailing you back .
I have removed the jaguar leaper from the hood , that is why you see a tape above the hood badge , you could put it back if you want to.
none of the switch bezels located on the center console finisher ( sky slope ) are held by glue like most cars . I do not do that.
there is no rust present around  the most rust pron area where most late xjs cars suffer which is seat belt reinforcing  bracket under the car.
this car has been my long trips car and I always enjoyed it. it gets a lot of compliment .
please note that when i installed the aftermarket radio I did not cut off the original radio harness therefore it would be easy to put the original radio back when you want to .

Jaguar F-Type Coupe spotted testing

Thu, 09 May 2013

The automotive world has been hot on fire with the Jaguar F-Type of late. We're still recovering from the excitement of driving Jaguar's new sports car for the first time, and recently we had a predictive look at a coupe version. As it turns out, those 'patent sketches' were just a warm up for the real deal F-Type Coupe, as this brand new set of spy images proves out.
Word from our shooter is that security around the F coupe was and is really tight. The photographer had to hide in the cargo area of his clandestine SUV, just to catch these few, not-perfectly-clear images (that odd color your see is window tint). Still, the photos are good enough to see that the rakish silhouette of the hardtop is going to do justice to the convertible. In fact, the new top seems to flow quite perfectly into the car's rear haunches.
Expect that the F-Type Coupe will share an engine lineup with the roadster, meaning both a naturally aspirated and a supercharged V6, as well as a V8 option. Hot R and R-S versions of the Jaguar coupe are a virtual lock, too, though how far down the product pipeline they are is unclear.

2013 Jaguar XF Sportbrake

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Editor's Note: Our reporter was anxious to get some time behind the wheel of the XF Sportbrake, even though Jaguar only had a very small window available for us to drive it. As a result, we weren't able to capture our usual original images to go with the Quick Spin story. Please accept our regrets, and Jag's lovely stock photography, instead.
The last wagon attempt from Jaguar was the X-Type, built between 2003 and that model line's unceremonious end in 2009. That X-Type and its legacy represent a real dog of a chapter for Jaguar, and for the Halewood factory where the barker was built. It was the final joke told prior to the brand's proper rebirth phase - a phase we're enjoying the heck out of today.
Current magnanimous Jaguar owner Tata can be thanked for this new wagon, the XF Sportbrake. Like all newness coming from Jag these days, this new wagon also feels lightyears more serious an offering, ready to compete squarely with established premium wagon makers across Europe. A Jaguar wagon in America is a far-off priority for the company, frankly. Still we deserve to know what we're missing for the time being from this (sometimes overly) cherished British firm.

Junkyard Gem: 1984 Jaguar XJ-S with Chevrolet V8 swap

Wed, Jun 24 2020

If you wanted to do some conspicuous consumption during the 1980s, you couldn't do much better than the Series II Jaguar XJ-S. A big, decadent-looking coupe with a smooth V12 engine under its vast bonnet, a new XJ-S would have been just the thing to celebrate a fresh round of S&L looting or a Stinger missile deal with Adnan Khashoggi in 1984. The XJ-S cost plenty to keep running, though; when the third or fourth owner got tired of huge repair bills for V12 problems, a small-block Chevy V8 engine often got swapped in. Today's Junkyard Gem in Denver is such a Jag, with an early-1990s Chevy 350 residing in the engine compartment. While the good old Chevy 350 didn't purr quite as silently as the nicely balanced 5.3-liter V12, it got the job done. Some junkyard shopper had already grabbed the heads off this engine before I got to it. The block casting number indicates that the engine began life in a 1987-1995 car or truck. The small-block Chevy is a common swap for Jaguar XJs, going back to the 1960s.  The cylinder-head buyer tossed the heavy intake manifold on the roof, which would be a junkyard no-no on a nice car. This car's body isn't so nice, though. It appears that some sort of aftermarket hood scoop once lived atop these layers of body filler and pop rivets. The interior looks decent enough, though the varnish on the dashboard wood shows signs of excessive Colorado sun exposure. The MSRP on this car began at $34,700, or about $87,300 in 2020 dollars. You could get a new Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz coupe that year for just $23,737, though the real competition for the XJ-S was more likely to be a Mercedes-Benz S-Class or BMW 6 Series with two doors. The 1984 BMW 633CSi went for $39,120, while the Mercedes-Benz 500SEC cost a staggering $56,800 that year. How the mighty have fallen! This content is hosted by a third party.
