I bought as a project expecting to do a lot of work but just was not required. The previous owners took very good care of car. She has 45,788+/- miles approximately. Still driving her as long as this convertible weather holds out. The car has good tires, hoses, belts, and near perfect interior and top. I replaced the battery, flushed fuel system, replaced the fuel pump and filters. Fresh oil and filter as well. 12 new spark plugs (although, I don't think she really needed them).Car's original owner for 15 plus years from Odessa Texas. Dry desert = 100% rust free car. The hydraulic top, electric windows, seats, cruise control, A/C (R12), & all lighting work perfectly. Included is a nice exterior car cover. Aftermarket radio installed but original is included. Original owners manual, heritage certificate, factory supplied tools. I Don't have to sell but want a new project. I will assist with loading for delivery."

1992 Jaguar XJS. Excellent daily driver. 45,788+/- miles; Still driving in nice weather. Garaged since I've owned it and probably most of her 21 year old life.
I believe I am the 3rd owner. In this section only I will list known issues. The anti lock brake light is occasionally flickering. My Jag specialist made several suggestions which included replace the accumulator and drain and flush the brake system. I have not done these things as the car has excellent brakes and all disc were replaced fairly recently as all pads are full and calipers show No wear at all. Crawling underneath for the first time shocked me. Almost spotless and No rust not even surface rust.
The hood does have 2 noticeable dings. The trunk lid has a small area of peeling clear coat (Pictured). The car should have electric locks and a factory key-fob; I do not have the key-fob. I do have 2 ignition keys and 1 door-lock key. The electric antenna is not working properly but can be raised and lowered manually.
The car is an absolute dream to drive. I can assist with loading on YOUR arranged transporter OR I will gladly pick you up from the airport as I feel very confident in the car's ability to be driven Anywhere in the US. Sorry, I will not accept or help with transport overseas. Repairing, driving, enjoying, and moving on to a new and different model is my quirky hobby. Having said that I sincerely believe that I will own another XJS and hopefully soon. Just a very enjoyable purist  driving experience. Having driven many BMW and Mercedes Benz cars of various types in the last 20 years sort of pushed me "frightened" into this Jaguar experience and now I'm hooked. Luxury Convertible like NO other can even come close to for such small $$$. I check my email daily and if you're Serious and want this car...send me a message and I'll make myself available over the phone. Also, I will gladly send more pictures by way of my phone if there's something you would like a better picture of. I'm looking for an offer at least Close to my asking price as far as negotiating is concerned.

Jaguar planning all-electric E-Pace crossover

Mon, Oct 26 2015

Jaguar hasn't quite finished rolling out the new F-Pace (pictured above), and already reports are circulating of another crossover model to join it in the near future. According to Automobile, it'll be called the E-Pace. Here's the kicker: it'll be all-electric. The E-Pace would take advantage of ultra-efficient aerodynamics in order to drop its drag coefficient to just 0.28 g, thereby increasing efficiency. It'd also be the first fully electric model from Jaguar, and would likely be even smaller than the sporty new F-Pace. Through-the-road all-wheel drive would give it poor weather traction, and the electric motors would provide plenty of low-end punch. The model would go up against the Tesla Model X and a potential production version of the Audi E-Tron Quattro concept revealed in Frankfurt. Rather than handle production in-house, the E-Pace could emerge as the mysterious upcoming model which Jaguar Land Rover is planning to have Magna Steyr build on its behalf. The factory in Graz, Austria has long built the G-Class for Mercedes-Benz, continues to assemble the Mini Countryman, and has also handled models like the Aston Martin Rapide and BMW X3. Automobile figures that Jaguar would need to make at least 20,000 units each year to make the model profitable. For comparison's sake, Tesla is projected to move about 33,000 Model S units in 2015. Even if the E-Pace falls short of this target, the project could be worthwhile for JLR purely for publicity purposes and to help cut its average fleet emissions. Related Video:

Jaguar Land Rover puts the freeze on wounded soldier-athletes [w/video]

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

For athletes, the cold is often a powerful ally in treating injures, with RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation) a popular means of treating muscle pulls, bruising and other common forms of discomfort. Did you know, though, that frosty temps are also popular tools for simply recovering from a rough training session?
Well, we're guessing Jaguar Land Rover knew that, as the British company was kind enough to loan out its climactic testing chamber to Jaco van Gass and Luke Darlington, a pair of veterans wounded in their service to Queen and Country. Van Gass, a former private in the Royal Army, and Darlington, a Royal Marine, are attempting to earn a spot on the British Armed Forces cycling team for the upcoming Invictus Games.
The Games, inspired by the Warrior Games held in the United States, are a sporting competition reserved for injured servicemen and women, either active duty or veterans, and is slated to take place from September 10 to 14 in London's former Olympic venues. Van Gass lost his left arm below the elbow after getting hit by a rocket-propelled grenade (he also suffered from a collapsed lung, punctured internal organs, severe shrapnel and blast wounds, a broken tibia and a fractured knee). Darlington, meanwhile, suffered a traumatic brain injury during action in Afghanistan, and he now suffers from weakness in his right side and cognitive issues.

Pivi Pro Jaguar Land Rover Infotainment Review | A massive improvement

Fri, Aug 6 2021

Infotainment systems in Jaguar Land Rover products have irked us for a long while. They’re generally a good step — or several — behind other luxury automakers' infotainment systems in terms of features and looks. But the big problem has always been their functionality. Even right out of the gate, they exhibited an undue amount of lag and general bugginess. Pivi Pro is supposed to change all of that. ItÂ’s JLRÂ’s completely new-from-the-ground-up infotainment system that is quickly spreading across the companyÂ’s range of products. It features a new screen size and layout. Plus, the software itÂ’s running is vastly different from what we saw previously. Our Byron Hurd got a first taste of it with a number of JLR products in a short period of time and found it to be a big improvement. Now, weÂ’ve had a new Land Rover Discovery in the garage for a longer period to fully suss out the system. Will it hold up? Watch the video above for a quick tour, and keep reading for some more detailed thoughts. Before diving in too deep, you should know off the top that Pivi Pro is a massive improvement over JLR infotainment systems of old. There are still some issues, but the new systemÂ’s performance is exponentially better than what itÂ’s replacing. This is partly thanks to it now running off its own backup battery. This allows the whole system to load immediately upon startup, ensuring that you arenÂ’t sitting and waiting for items to populate after you press the start button.  The new 11.4-inch screen this software plays on is splendid to both look at and touch. ItÂ’s a super-high-resolution panel, and it takes to our inputs quickly and without protest. The new UI layout makes things easier and prettier, too. All of your important items are tucked into a panel on the left, making them super easy to find and select. Plus, a sticky “home” button means you can always find your way out of menus when youÂ’re done diving around. We dig the three-panel home screen and its minimalist style, but for those who might favor maximum functionality over a pretty home screen, you can replace this with rows of app icons. For those wanting to use their phones, there is indeed an in-car WiFi data plan available to buy. Plus, JLR newly allows you to connect two devices via Bluetooth instead of just one. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are nicely integrated with this new system.
