1991 Jaguar Xjs Convertible Classic Collection 53600 Miles British Racing Green on 2040-cars
Brooklyn, Michigan, United States
I'm selling my 1991 JAGUAR XJS CONVERTIBLE CLASSIC COLLECTION, BRITISH RACING GREEN, WITH 53600. I am the 2nd owner of this beautiful specimen of class. I have been her owner since 2001. This is not an easy decision, but I just don't drive it enough to justify keeping her. I had a body on restoration performed in 2007-2008. I also had everything updated mechanically that it needed while she was with them. All the work was done at Muncie Imports & Classics. The interior is still original. The headliner needs to be replaced. After the restoration, I was driving her and a deer ran into the passenger front fender. I took it back to Muncie Imports to repair. I have all paperwork for restoration. This car has never seen ice or snow....always garage kept and covered. I believe Classic Collection was a very limited production, maybe as low as 100. May 1991, the new body style went into production for 1992.
Feel free to ask questions. Thanks for stopping to look! |

Say goodbye to Jaguar's vestigial oval grille
Tue, 10 Dec 2013Jaguar has been on a campaign to replace any and all retro cues with modern ones. Just look at the current XJ and the one it replaced, or the XF and the S-Type that came before it and you'll know what we mean. The one remnant is the XK and its oval grille, in and of itself a throwback to Jags of old (which started to look more like a certain Star Wars alien in above-pictured XKR-S form). But don't expect it to hang around.
Newer Jaguars have been ditching the oval aperture for a more squared-off one, and the next XK will have to fall in line. But don't expect that to be the only change in store for the next-generation Jaguar coupe and convertible.
With the new F-Type now holding the more enthusiast-oriented ground, the next XK is expected to grow bigger, softer and more luxurious. That will likely mean a more commodious back seat as well, though that shouldn't be hard to do considering the lack of space in the back of the current model...
Jaguar XE spied flying over London
Mon, 08 Sep 2014We only have a few hours to wait before Jaguar finally, and fully, unveils its oft-teased XE sedan. But the Internet is no respecter of secrets, as these very last-minute spy shots make clear.
Presumably being airlifted to its spectacular debut location near Earl's Court in London, the BMW 3-Series-fighting XE was captured mid-flight, and completely undisguised.
The images are understandably a bit blurry, but they do confirm that DNA from the current Jag lineup is transitioning nicely to the new small luxury sedan. The XE shows a stance typical of the brand, with a relatively short rear overhang, and big, boldly styled wheels. The bluff front end is reminiscent of if the XF and XJ, and, as we know from earlier teasers, will wear a "growler" logo over a black grille.
Jaguar Land Rover details JustDrive connectivity suite
Tue, 18 Nov 2014
JustDrive will allegedly deliver on the long-promised idea of natural communication between driver and car.
Jaguar Land Rover's all-new InControl system is set to get a big bump as the British company will add a new service called JustDrive, which expands on the smartphone-focused infotainment system by adding a singular voice controller for a wide array of the system's currently available apps.
