1990 Jaguar Xjs Convertible V12 - 83k Original Miles - *no Rust* *no Reserve* on 2040-cars
Chula Vista, California, United States
This is a beautiful example of a extremely well preserved Original Jaguar XJS Convertible.
NO RESERVE New:
The car drives very nice and strong with no hesitation and the transmission shifts strong and smooth. Link: Click to see a Video of the Jaguar Running I don't know the history of this car aside from what I've been told: it does not show with the reporting companies. The previous owner says he has owned it for more than 17 years and that he was the second owner (I have owned it for 2-3 weeks). It has been extremely well cared for and is all original including paint and interior. I put a new Convertible Top and headliner on the vehicle this month. I am available to show the car and absolutely recommend you have the vehicle inspected or come view it yourself. I have put 300+ miles on the car in 2-3 weeks and am still driving it daily. I wouldn't hesitate to cross the country in it. Has a clean clear Arizona Title and has spent the majority of its life in San Diego. This car is truly beautiful and won't disappoint. Thanks for Looking and happy bidding: David |

Chris Harris finds the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe rather drifty
Wed, 26 Mar 2014Our own Matt Davis may have called the new Jaguar F-Type R Coupe "one heady rascal," but our review was disappointingly short on drifting, tire smoke and general, English shenanigans. You know, the sort of things that Chris Harris from Drive excels at.
Actually, relative to Harris' other reviews, this one is rather serious. There's a good recap of the F-Type on the road, with Harris referencing the car's "great bottom" and "amazing ass," quite frequently. Surprisingly, Harris says the more powerful F-Type R is just "incrementally" faster than the 495-horsepower F-Type V8 S Convertible. Following the on-road portion, it's off to the track. You can probably predict what goes on there. Overall, aside from some quibbles, Harris has nothing but praise for the newest cat.
We've got the entire video available below. Scroll down, have a look and let us know what you think in Comments.
2014 Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake is one hot hauler
Wed, 05 Mar 2014Oh look, another super-hot wagon that won't be making its way to the US. Awesome.
Actually, in all honesty, it really is awesome. Meet the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake, a red-hot (or blue-hot?) version of the rakish XF wagon that originally bowed at the Geneva Motor Show back in 2012. The formula here is pretty much plug-and-play: take the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 from the XFR-S and shove it in the wagon body, and add all of the necessary visual flair fitting of a properly powerful Jag. The end result is an estate that packs 542 horsepower, 502 pound-feet of torque, and the ability to sprint to 60 miles per hour in a scant 4.6 seconds. Meow.
This Jaguar joins a growing segment of ultra-hot wagons in Europe, rounded out by offerings like the Audi RS6 Avant and the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG longroof - the latter of which you can actually buy in North America. Sounds like the sort of comparison test we'd love to facilitate. Guess we'll have to leave that to our friends at Autocar, though.
Jaguar F-Type 'Design Study' headed to Goodwood
Mon, 08 Jul 2013With the Goodwood Festival of Speed taking place this weekend, Jaguar has announced it will be there with its new trio of R models as well as a design study version of the hot new F-Type sports car. While we've already seen the XFR-S last year at the LA Auto Show and the XJR and XKR-S GT at the New York Auto Show, the F-Type design study has our attention.
Based on our recent sighting of a fixed-roof F-Type being tested in full camouflage, this could mean that we'll finally get to see a sexy F-Type Coupe in near-production form. Of course, with all of the other R branded models on display, Jaguar could also unveil a sporty new R - or maybe even an RS - F-Type roadster. Whatever is planned, it will not be a static display - Jaguar says the design study car will be in action, making the fabled run up Goodwood Hill with chief engineer Mike Cross at the wheel. Scroll down for more information about what Jaguar has planned for Goodwood.
