1989 Jaguar Xjs Convertible, Triple Navy on 2040-cars

1989 Jaguar XJS Convertible Triple Navy, which is a very rare combination and few were made, and it is the last year for the V12 and that body style The car runs and drives strong except the brake master cylinder needs replaced The paint is decent with some slight chips here and there, no body damage except for a bump on the drivers rear quarter panel The interior is good but there is some rubbing on the drivers side seat and a small portion of the beading is gone from sliding in and out of the car but no rips or tears. A good auto upholstery person will be able to redye the seat and fix the beading area. Carpets are good and the top is new and works great. In the pictures I did not have the boot snapped down. The trunk area is very nice. It has the tool kit and the owners manual, the dash is nice with no cracks and the gauges work. The a/c may need Freon as it now blows cool instead of cold. The wheels and tires are very nice. My husband bought me this car for Christmas and when he died suddenly I found it too painful to drive. I just can't keep the car anymore. When he bought it, there were 74,209 miles on it, the car now has 75,864, which means only 1,655 miles have been driven. The car is very eye appealing with the triple navy combination and needs to go to someone to enjoy. It is a BLAST to drive and the value is only going to go up. It is now considered a CLASSIC! |

Jaguar F-Type greets US, shows off range of personalization
Thu, 29 Nov 2012While the debut of the XFR-S is likely fresh on everyone's minds and browser windows, the other big story of late at Jaguar is the F-Type coupe and convertible. Originally unveiled in Paris, the LA show was the first opportunity that the sub-XK performance machine will be seen Stateside. However, it was not just the same news that we first heard in Paris, as Jaguar used LA to showcase its newly available "Black" design pack.
This styling package includes gloss black finishes for the grill surround, side vents, a flat-bottomed sport steering wheel, gloss black interior touches, and instrument panel rings. This package is available with Ultimate Black, Polaris White, Italian Racing Red, Rhodium Silver, Grey and Firesand (seen above) body colors.
The Black pack can be had on either the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 model, or the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 version. Specific additional "Black" tweaks are available based on which derivative you select. Specifically, a gloss-black rear valence is a V6-only modification.
Jaguar ousts Lexus from atop J.D. Power 2013 Sales Satisfaction Index
Mon, 18 Nov 2013Jaguar has taken the top spot among luxury brands in the 2013 Sales Satisfaction Index, an annual survey conducted by J.D. Power that measures customer satisfaction with the experience of purchasing a new vehicle. The English brand, not even among the top three luxury automakers on the list last year, vaulted ahead of Lexus, which placed third this year after leading the list in 2011 and 2012. Porsche, meanwhile, moved into second place.
The rankings are based on a point score out of 1,000, with Jaguar earning 740 points, Porsche right behind with 739 and Lexus with 737. Volvo, meanwhile, made the biggest improvement among luxury brands with a 30-point jump to 708, bring it up from 11th place to 9th this year.
J.D. Power has a separate ranking for mass-market brands, and this year Mini again tops the list with a score of 718, far outpacing second-place Buick with a score of 694 and making it the fourth time Mini has lead this list. After Buick, the next two ranked brands are both American and both from General Motors, with Chevrolet and GMC sharing third place with a score of 686.
Jaguar Land Rover gets to work on new university R&D center
Fri, Mar 20 2015Jaguar Land Rover has a raft of new products in the pipeline, from the new Defender to the next-generation XF sedan. But new product isn't the only thing the British automaker is investing in: it's also opening new facilities around the world, including what it's calling the National Automotive Innovation Centre back home in the UK. Based at the University of Warwick, the new $220-million R&D center is the result of a joint effort between JLR, its parent company Tata, the manufacturing arm of the university and the British government. The facility will bring together professionals from the automaker as well as its suppliers with academics to encourage, as the name suggests, innovation in the automotive sector. Its 355,000 square feet are earmarked to become the hub for Jaguar Land Rover's advanced research activities, including "workshops, laboratories, virtual engineering suites and advanced powertrain facilities, equipped to enable a full range of design, visualisation and prototyping activities." The cornerstore was just laid in a ceremony this week, but the facility isn't due to open until the Spring of 2017 when it will encompass some 1,000 employees, including 600 relocated by JLR to the new location from other sites in the UK.
