I am the second owner of car. I purchased it in the mid 80's from the original owner, a Doctor in Los Angeles.

The car has never been outside of California or Arizona. I shipped it to the Phoenix area in the late 80's. It has always been garaged. It has never been dented, and never been in the rain or snow.

The mileage is actual.

The car is in perfect mechanical condition, maintained in LA by "Just Jaguar aka Jags Only - Los Angeles Magazine “Best Auto Repair in Town”, and the owner of the shop in the Phoenix area that maintains all my cars.

The current Mechanic that has maintained it for over twenty years is available to talk about the car's condition and maintenance.
I have all the repair records.

It has been painted once to restore the color and I had the wheels chromed.

The only flaw is the drivers seat stitching is coming loose and needs re-switching, all other leather is in great shape.
It has all new Lucas/factory tail light lens, new headlight rims, and backup light bar, etc. I purchased the factory plastic and chrome trim years ago and stored for this occasion.
I can have the seat repaired depending on the final price.

It was manufactured in England in 1984 but imported in 1985 so California called it a 1985..

The Tax the Rich crew has a knack for indulging in automotive fantasies and capturing it all on video, such as a tug-of-war battle between two Ferrari F50s, drifting a Ferrari Enzo on gravel roads and even powersliding a Rolls-Royce Phantom on a field of wet grass. This latest video features a Jaguar XJ220 and a kid with an iPad, who somehow is able to control the old supercar with the Apple product.
No, there's no app for that (yet), and we lied - the boy isn't actually controlling the car - but it sure is nice to see the XJ220 in all its turbocharged, six-cylinder glory doing donuts and sliding across a grassy field. It jolts us to see the old Jaguar - capable of 217 miles per hour and once described by Jeremy Clarkson as having no brakes and massive turbo lag - thrown about like a rally car, but then we never imagined anybody would abuse a Rolls-Royce like that either. We'll continue to leave the high-stakes antics to Tax the Rich - we're just glad somebody had the guts to behave so badly in such a valuable machine. What else were they made for?

Jaguar will sell 10 fully restored Series 1 E-Types

The Jaguar Land Rover "Reborn" program is expanding its offerings yet again. The newest offering is the first from the Jaguar side of the company, and naturally the first car is a Series 1 E-Type. Jaguar Classic will restore 10 of the first-generation E-Types, and the cars will be sold directly to consumers from the company. The very first of the cars is the 1965 model you see above, which will make its public debut next week at the Techno-Classica Essen show in Germany. It's a 4.2-liter model finished in "Opalescent Gunmetal Grey." According to Jaguar, it was originally sent to California where it racked up 78,000 miles, and then was put into storage in 1983. Jaguar then acquired the car, and the Jaguar Classic department proceeded to restore it to factory specifications. Jaguar fixed and retained as many original parts as possible, and used replacement Jaguar Classic parts as needed. The car is fully numbers-matching with the original engine and transmission. If you're interested in purchasing this E-Type, or one of the other nine, you'd better have a hefty pocketbook. A standard restored car done to factory specs will start at about $355,000 at current exchange rates. If you want to spend more, Jaguar offers a few extra cost options such as an upgraded cooling system based on the one found in the Lightweight E-Type, a fully synchromesh transmission for early models without it, and upgraded front brake calipers from the later Series 2 E-Type.
