1999 Jaguar Xjr 4.0l Supercharged, British Green, 82k Low Miles, Top Of The Line on 2040-cars
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States
For sale by owner, Jaguar collector. Selling one of the car from my collection , making room for another one I have in mind. Really enjoyed this car, it is the best of Jaguar design at the time, color combination and trim. It will stand proud even 20 years from now. Still turning heads wherever driven. Once every couple of weeks when I take it for a spin. It has no warning lights, everything works as it should. I am a collector and my cars get treated right. Never raced, always serviced, and washed. Interior is very clean, many people surprised to see it so clean, but then again, all my cars I choose to be that way to begin with. I do take good care of each and everyone of them. The paint does have some blemishing from the sun but it only noticable when looked at closely. For the year, mileage and condition this is a STEAL, and simply the best deal out there! You can bring it to your standards if you choose to refresh the paint but to me its better when its all original. Mechanically the car is great. Everything works as it should as you would expect it to. Cold air, music sound perfect , seats are comfortable tires are expensive brand and almost new. Supercharged makes a pleasant purr when you drive it, I am sure you would like that. I can help to arrange shipping. You can pay shipping when you recieve the car or when you book the shipper. I do ask for 500 $ deposit when you win the auction and the rest in cashiers check withing 48 hours. I have clean title in hand, so when i recieve cashier's check I will release the car and mail you the title certified mail. Happy bidding! |

2014 Jaguar F-Type
Wed, 17 Apr 2013Stepping Into The Lion's Den With A Big-Hearted Cat
If you're like me - and our demographics suggests you are - you've probably never seen a new Jaguar sportscar at your local showroom. I'm 36, and it hasn't happened in my lifetime... and not by a little bit. Oh, there have been a string of XK coupes and convertibles, and as of late, there have even been some genuine high-performance specials - namely the R, R-S and R-S GT models - but their basis has always been the 2+2 grand tourer shell, not a lighter and smaller footprint with more intrinsic sporting intent. The truth is that it's been a half-century since Jaguar introduced a proper new sportscar. Today, most people know the brand strictly as a purveyor of wood- and hide-lined luxury sedans.
In fact, if you're not an enthusiast with some appreciation for the marque's history, it's a bit odd to hear Jaguar executives proclaim that they are a sportscar company and always have been. By their reckoning, the 2014 F-Type seen here is in fact a return to form, a Rip Van Winkled brand pillar reanimated and reimagined to take center stage. It's a sentiment that must be particularly odd for car shoppers in developing markets like China, where Jaguar hasn't even been selling cars for very long. Yet because the original 1961 E-Type is perhaps the most gorgeous car ever to lay ply on the world's roads, we're prepared to cut them some slack.
Jaguar C-X17 Concept teased before Frankfurt
Sun, 01 Sep 2013Just ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show, which begins September 10, Jaguar is teasing the reveal of a design study to introduce its new advanced vehicle architecture. Dubbed the C-X17, the mysterious concept "illustrates the diversity of vehicles that could be produced using this architecture, which underpins the innovative future of the Jaguar brand."
While it's not entirely clear what this architecture involves or what type of vehicle the C-X17 may be, this reveal is reminiscent of Jaguar's decision to unveil the C-X16 concept, a hybrid electric sports car, in Frankfurt in 2011. From the looks of the teaser image Jaguar released (click above to enlarge), we're guessing the C-X17 will be something between a low-slung crossover and a sporty wagon. But we won't have to wait too long to find out - Jaguar is streaming the live pre-show reveal to invited guests on its Facebook page on Monday, Sept. 9.
In addition to the C-X17, Jaguar be showing off the performance-oriented XJR and XFR-S, and, of course, the F-Type convertible. Scroll down for the official press release.
Jaguar launches new classic racing series
Fri, 14 Nov 2014One-make racing series have become all the rage for customers who want to actually race their exotic sports cars (or competition-spec versions of them, anyway). Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and Aston Martin all offer such programs, and Porsche supports several. Now Jaguar is getting in on the action as well, but instead of turning one of its production models - we're looking at you, F-Type - into a spec racer, it's launching an historic racing series instead.
The 2015 Jaguar Heritage Challenge will be open to cars made by the Leaping Cat marque before 1966, including the C-Type, D-Type, E-Type and Mk I and MkII sedans. The series, which builds on the success of the previous Jaguar E-Type Challenge, will be administered by the Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) based at Silverstone and will include four races in the UK and one in Europe, with the exact schedule still to be determined.
The program was announced at the launch of the Jaguar Heritage Driving Experience, where Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations director John Edwards was also named chairman of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, replacing former Jaguar managing director Mike O'Driscoll who chaired the organization for the past five years.
