Jaguar Xj8-lwb 4 Door 8 Cylinder Perfect Condition Unbelievably Clean No Rust on 2040-cars
Monroe, New York, United States
JAGUAR 2001 XJ8-LWB An immaculate beauty, completely pampered by his owner. In fact I spoke to the family of the owner and was told he kept the car in a garage most of the time would drive it once or twice a week and never took it out in the rain. That may explain why there is no rust anywhere. Has been in the State of Florida since 2008. Not having any salt on the roads keeps the car from rusting. This car with all the extras cost $70,000.00 new. The reason there is a new engine is, he went for an oil charge and they didn't tighten the oil bolt so it lose all of its oil. He had a Jaguar factory warranty so they put a new motor that only has 30,000 miles on it. Odometer reads 102,000 miles. Have the receipt for the new engine. This is a must see must drive to believe it. Just put new front brakes and have the receipt. Just was inspected. New inspection sticker. When I had a oil change I took pictures of underneath the car and as you can see it's like new NO RUST UNBELIEVABLE All original documents and handbook including original sticker from Jaguar. This car is way ahead of its time with many option like an Alpine premium sound system that has the CD player in the trunk that holds 6 CD's AM/FM. The sound is amazing. Heated seats, back-up sensor in the bumper so if you get close to anything it makes a beeping sound, sunroof, volume control in the steering wheel, back seat A/C and heat control, fog light, leather seats, air bags Etc. Has a button {Traction control} for driving in snow and ice. Cash or would trade for a 1940 to 1950 restored pick-up.
Always garage kept never smoked in, and maintained regularly. This is the cleanest car I have ever seen. It is considered the best style JAGUAR ever made and I agree. Brand new factory engine installed in 2012. Realistically this car has only 30,000 miles.
Everything in working order and runs like a Swiss watch. No
scratches or dings or bondo. Get people
asking about this car wherever I go.

Stunning Jaguar E-Type Lightweight tribute featured by Petrolicious
Tue, 17 Dec 2013This is a Series 1 Jaguar E-Type Coupe. Enzo Ferrari, Il Commendatore himself, called it "the most beautiful car ever made." It can count among its owners Steve McQueen, Brigitte Bardot and a number of other celebrities from the 1960s. It remains one of the prettiest and coolest cars ever.
While we don't normally prescribe to modifying classics like the E-Type, cars that are used for vintage racing, like this particular example, are certainly the exception. It's owned by Jason Len and is the subject of the latest video from the team at Petrolicious.
Len's 1964 E-Type has been fashioned to look like one of the rare Lightweight E-Types from 1963 and 1964. The aluminum-bodied E-Types, of which only a dozen were built, were all intended exclusively for racing, much like Len's heavily modified example. While it retains the 3.8-liter straight-six, its engine, transmission, suspension, brakes and body have been extensively tweaked and fettled to allow this classic Jag to compete with a field of V8s.
Jaguar to go racing with F-Type GT3?
Sat, Nov 22 2014Most British automakers have some manner of racing program. Aston Martin, Lotus and McLaren race as a matter of course. Bentley recently got back into racing, Morgan has dabbled here and there, even Land Rover has its off-road racing programs. The only one, it seems, that isn't racing these days is Jaguar... but that could be about to change. The latest intel from the UK suggests that Jaguar is closely evaluating the prospect of building a GT3-spec racer based on the F-Type. Like the Bentley Continental GT3 co-developed with M-Sport (not to mention Coventry's own successful partnership with TWR), the Jaguar program would need an established racing outfit to help develop the car and field it, and the automaker is said to be evaluating three potential partners. The development of the GT3 racer would allow Jaguar to compete (or sell cars for others to compete) in a variety of racing series around the world, including the Blancpain Endurance Series, the European Le Mans Series and, if properly adapted, other series like the United SportsCar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Jaguar's car would have to compete with such rivals as the Aston Martin Vantage GTE, Audi R8 LMS, Ferrari 458 GT, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3 R. Current FIA GT3 regulations use a Balance of Performance equation that allows for a curb weight between 1,200 and 1,300 kilograms (2,645 to 2,866 pounds) and produce between 500 and 600 horsepower. A more cost-effective GT4 racer could follow. But the best part is that Jaguar could, according to the report in Autocar, develop a road-going version as well, even more focused than the Project 7 pictured above and similar to what Bentley did with the Continental GT3-R. Jaguar of course has had a rich history with motor racing, reaching back to its dominance at Le Mans in the 1950s with the C-Type and D-Type, extending through the TWR partnership in touring car and endurance racing in the 1980s and 90s, to the short-lived Formula One team that became Red Bull Racing. It launched a GT2-spec XKR a few years ago and was tipped to be developing a new LMP1 prototype, but neither are on the track today, where Jaguars only compete in vintage racing. Jaguar XKSS tipped to be next continuation model
Mon, Feb 9 2015After the Jaguar F-Type Project Seven, Range Rover Sport SVR, and run of six continuation Lightweight E-Types, the Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations (SVO) division is plotting its next historic resurrection, and there's a chance it could be the Jaguar XKSS. That's the word from SVO head John Edwards to Dutch outlet Autovisie, but we need to emphasize the word "could," because the XKSS is one of about four finalists - a "major contender" - among a long list of 65 ideas for the Special Operations to devote itself to. Edwards said that SVO projects need to have some kind of story behind them, a qualification the XKSS doesn't lack. In the 1950s Jaguar raced the D-Type to three Le Mans wins among its list of victories, but retired as a factory team at the end of 1955. When Jaguar decided to turn 25 unused D-Type chassis' into road-going cars, the XKSS was created. The company built the 25, but a fire at the Browns Lane factory destroyed nine of them. It is those nine that will be in the continuation run, should the XKSS get the nod. Jaguar has already sold the six E-Type Lightweight models, each one for more a million pounds ($1.52M US). The XKSS could undoubtedly command even more, with its legendary roots; the 1956 model that Steve McQueen bought for $5,000 (and Jay Leno recently drove) is said to be worth thirty million. We have to think that even if the XKSS isn't chosen right now, it will certainly get the green light at some point.
