1996 Jaguar XJ6 Base Sedan with 96,000 Original Miles. I am the 3rd owner of an incredibly well preserved and serviced Texas/Arizona car purchased at Millennium in Plano. I drove the car from Dallas to Omaha 4 years ago with 79,000 miles on it. So basically the car has only been driven an average of about 5,650 miles per year and it shows. It sat inside a heated garage between use for in town business when in Omaha. I drove the car back to Arizona this past spring with zero problems. It is my second car, my baby and only drive it occasionally.  Rare Nautilus Blue exterior finish over Ivory/Tan Leather. Chrome factory rims. Beautiful condition with an incredibly comfortable ride.

The good: Interior is near perfect and all leather was recently treated to new like condition. New headliner was installed just prior to my purchase. All bright work is in great shape. Trunk finishes are in great condition. Tires are approximately 10,000 miles old. Everything has been serviced regularly to maintain the car to its current excellent condition. All rubber trim is in excellent condition. Items replaced: New hoses, new belts, new front struts, new door lock "brain mechanism" replaced, near new battery, new antenna, leather retreated to near new condition and new cup holder mechanism (notorious for breaking on every Jag of this vintage). All electronics work as they should except for the lighter. The A/C is so incredible I cannot keep it on high for more than a few minutes. Mechanically the car is rock solid with the throttle body cleaned, spark plugs and valve cover gasket replaced this past May. The exterior and under carriage are virtually rust free and remarkably clean.

The less than good: The only interior flaw is a worn section on the drivers side front seat bolster. (Typical). Not ripped and not worth replacing for now. (See photo). The exterior finish is in very good condition except along the top of the passenger side doors where the clear coat has worn thin. There are a couple of door nicks on the passenger side but could be removed by paintless repair (See photo). The lighter does not work. (Probably a fuse). The clock display needs repair. The shift knob leather is worn a bit but the Jag dealer in Scottsdale has a new wood replacement. The front stereo speakers could also stand to be replaced. YOU WILL LOVE THIS CAR AS I HAVE.

OFFERED AT A LOW Reserve. Any Questions, please feel free to e-mail or call 402-708-2121.

Buyer is required to submit a $500.00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of closing and balance by Certified Check or wire transfer within 7 days. Car will be released upon clearance of final payment.

Good luck to all!

Leno and Ian Callum pilot Jaguar XK120 at 2014 Mille Miglia

Mon, 02 Jun 2014

Jay Leno has been in a British mood recently with his videos highlighting the McLaren P1, 1962 Norton 650SS and Steve McQueen's 1956 Jaguar XKSS. He's keeping the streak alive this week with a look at driving a Jaguar XK120 in the 2014 Mille Miglia historic rally with Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum.
The video show off Jay Leno's Garage in top form. It's way more than just Jay driving the 1,000-mile route from Brescia, Italy, to Rome and back. He also includes interviews with Stirling Moss about winning the race back in 1955, and racer Martin Brundle about what it's like to drive a long-nose Jaguar D-Type this year.
Today, the Mille Miglia is only for historic cars, and it has a much more relaxed pace than the original all-out event. However, this isn't entirely a cruise. Leno seems scared at times talking about it because the drivers are free to ignore the speed limits and open the cars up as much as they are willing to. The roads aren't shut down for regular traffic, either, and things can be dangerous.

Jaguar Land Rover may buy Silverstone racetrack for new HQ

Thu, Dec 3 2015

Jaguar Land Rover might add another chapter to its venerable motorsports legacy by purchasing the revered UK racetrack Silverstone to use as its new company headquarters. JLR could reportedly offer 22.7 million pounds ($34.1 million at current rates) to buy the circuit, according to Automotive News Europe, which cites several British media sources. The British automaker would then invest the equivalent of $78 million to turn the historic track into a celebration of the brand, including a museum, experience center, and hotel. The company would also construct space for its marketing team and engineers, Automotive News Europe reports. Motorsports would still continue there, too, which means the course's Formula One legacy is safe. Neither JLR nor the British Racing Drivers' Club, which leases the track, have confirmed the rumors. The BRDC only suggested that it received several confidential offers to purchase the circuit. Silverstone has a motorsports history that goes back to the late 1940s and is often the home to the Formula One British Grand Prix. The track's organizers have a long-term deal to continue hosting the F1 race, too. Today, the course also features major events from MotoGP and the FIA World Endurance Championship. In November, Jaguar released a video that celebrated some of its legacy at Silverstone by bringing the modern XJR and Le Mans-winning XJ-R9 LM at the track. If the company's purchase happens, you can expect to see a lot more Jags and probably some Land Rovers lapping the course. Related Video:

2014 Jaguar XKR-S GT takes fiercest feline further [UPDATE]

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

If there were any car to overshadow the 542-horsepower Jaguar XJR that's coming to the New York Auto Show, this is it. Meet the Jaguar XKR-S GT - a street-legal, higher-performance version of the already hardcore XKR-S that will be headed to North America in very limited quantities. Only 30 will be offered on our continent, with 25 earmarked for the United States and the remaining five going to Canada. The cost of entry? $174,000 when it goes on sale this August.
What that gets you is a coupe that is, without any doubt, ready to attack any racetrack it might encounter. The XKR-S' supercharged 5.0-liter V8 has not been upgraded in terms of power - not that 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque is anything to sneeze at - but instead, Jaguar focused on tuning the bits of the car that help effectively put all that grunt to the ground. There's a new hood with rows of louvers to aid in engine cooling, and elsewhere on the car's body, you'll find carbon fiber on the redesigned front air splitter, dive planes, extended wheel arch spats, as well as a new rear diffuser, an aluminum front under tray and an absolutely massive wing out back to keep downforce to a maximum.
Underneath that hot body are retuned and height-adjustable adaptive dampers; spring rates have been increased by 68 percent in front and 25 percent at the rear versus a standard XKR-S. Most of the front and rear suspension geometry has been upgraded, larger carbon ceramic brakes have been fitted at all four corners, and wider 20-inch forged alloy wheels are found here, wrapped in Pirelli Corsa tires - 255/35-series rubber in front and 305/30-series stuff out back. There's also a revised active exhaust system, which should only improve the already thunderous roar coming out the back of the Jag coupe, and a faster steering rack has been added for improved agility.
