1977 JAGUAR XJ6C six cylinder dohc with triple SU carb set up. Very good power and driveability. shifts well and handles well. tight suspension. power steering is tight/new bushings, without play or wear. good breaking. fuel system is clean and functioning without issue. the change over from stromberg to SU carbs has increased the performance and makes the car a pleasure to drive. I have owned other 70s jags with the restrictive Strombergs and there is no comparison. Many collectors choose the 12 cylinder coupes over the standard six 4.2 with strombergs, but this conversion makes this a close comparison for engine power.

*HD8 2" CARBS sourced from a 1966 3.8s type. 290 hp.TWM induction horns/K&M filters.

British Racing Green paint has some imperfections. blemish on passenger door. see photo.

The body is well preserved being a west coast car up until last year. Undercarriage is solid with strong floor pans and radius arm mounting points. Trunk area is solid and tidy. no accidents or dents. straight and tight car.

Paint is presentable. good chrome and recent top. Leather interior is clean and overall very presentable. good dash wood and door panels, recent new carpet and headliner. wheels are from a 97 xj 16"/255S and fill out the wheel wells adding a much nicer ride than the stock rims and tires which are available if desired instead.

Rear bumper is a euro style solid chrome with over riders. I preferred the look of these bumpers.
* I do have all of the original stock manifold and carb components for retro fitting if your state requires stricter emissions. most states would exempt this model year. california will not.
Completely functioning lights, signal switches.power windows, heat and defrost&wipers. ac will need charge.

This is a currently running and totally road worthy car which is garage kept and avoids bad weather.

rebuilt engine head 15k miles ago along with rebuilt transmission at that time.

runs cool with good oil pressure.

Please contact me via ebay for any questions, and I will be happy to answer.

Not the usual sluggish xj6c. ready to drive and enjoy.

SVR plans to tune electrified Jaguar-Land Rover models, but not the I-Pace

Sun, May 24 2020

Jaguar-Land Rover's SVR division has only put its name on high-horsepower gasoline-burning cars, like the XE Project 8 built in strictly limited numbers. It's open to the idea of tuning electrified models, whether they're electric or hybrid, but it confirmed it's not currently planning on making a spicier evolution of the I-Pace. "We will be developing electrified versions of our cars, be that fully electrified or plug-in hybrids," affirmed Michael van der Sande, the division's managing director, in an interview with Auto Express. But although the electric I-Pace (pictured) raced in a one-make race series held on the sidelines of Formula E events for two seasons, and SVR could credibly claim to inject track DNA into a street car, it stressed the I-Pace doesn't appear in its product plans for reasons that remain a little bit murky. Jaguar announced the end of the eTrophy series in May 2020, which might explain why it's reluctant to exploit racing's marketing power. "There are other various things we are working on which we can't talk about, but we're very interested in electrification. That's why we got involved in eTrophy," van der Sande clarified. "The technology transfer, the learning applies to that car and other cars but we're not planning an SVR I-Pace at the moment." His comments confirm we'll need to be patient to see what SVR's take on an electric or hybrid car looks like. One of the first electrified models to receive the go-fast treatment might be the next-generation XJ tentatively scheduled to make its debut before the end of 2020. It will be exclusively electric, though it won't look as radical as the I-Pace, so Jaguar will need to find a way to replace the hot-rodded XJR 575 model it positioned at the top of the last-generation model's line-up. It's not too far-fetched to speculate the next Range Rover also due out in the coming months will receive some degree of electrification, and it could spawn an SVR-tuned model, too. Lister teases 675-hp, 200-mph Stealth SUV

Thu, Apr 16 2020

In the middle of 2018, Lister unveiled what was then called the LFP, intended to be the world's fastest SUV. The initials stood for Lister F-Pace and the dark green hulking beauty was based on, surprise, the Jaguar F-Pace SVR. Except where the F-Pace SVR used a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 producing 550-horsepower to claim a 176-mile-per-hour top speed, the LFP would wring that engine out to 675 horsepower in order to hit 200 miles per hour. Since that time, Lister's rolled out other models such as the F-Type convertible-based LFT-C 666 and Knobbly roadster continuation cars. At last, the LFP is ready for primetime, and it brings the new name of Lister Stealth with it. According to CEO Lawrence Whittaker, all the firm is waiting on is for the UK's lockdown to end, then the high-rise double-ton party can start. For now, we have a teaser video with a few quick visuals of the dangerously aggressive bodywork and a microphone-melting clip of someone dancing on the throttle. Save for the audio distortion, it looks and sounds superb. The ingredients of the transformation from F-Pace SVR to Stealth remain secret. As Pistonheads pointed out, the 675-hp Lister Thunder, based on the F-Type SVR hardtop, installed a new supercharger pulley, air filter and intercooler, a freer exhaust, and a remapped ECU to unlock 100 more horses. It's reasonable to expect the same template as a starting point for the Stealth. If the crossover can hit its 3.5-second mark from zero to 62-miles per hour, it will beat everything we can think of that isn't a Tesla, and the Stealth will top all comers if it nails the promoted top speed. Whittaker said production stops at 250 units, with orders having already come in. The price starts at "around GBP140,000," equal to about $175,000 greenbacks. Tiff Needell, who raced Lister cars in the 1990s, has been lined up for video presentation work once the proper launch takes place. If we're lucky, Needell will be the one to show and tell us what the Stealth can do, occasionally sideways, with lots of smoke. Related Video:

2016 Jaguar XF mule spied in Germany

Wed, 30 Oct 2013

From our best guess, the Jaguar test mule shown in these spy shots could very well be our first glimpse at the next-generation Jaguar XF, due out around the 2016 model year. The current XF has been around for five years already (launched in 2008), and this mule is likely testing powertrain or chassis components for a new version of the midsize Jaguar sedan.
With what seems to be a stretched wheelbase and wider track, this is almost certainly not a mule for the 3 Series-fighting Jaguar XS. That being said, though, there is also the outside chance that this could be a mule for other future Jaguar Land Rover products including a production version of the Jaguar C-X17 crossover or the Jaguar-based Range Rover Grand Evoque. Only time will tell what these images truly foretell, but if nothing else, it proves that Jaguar is definitely staying busy these days.
