2011 Jaguar Xj Supercharged - Cirrus Gray With London Tan Interior on 2040-cars
Houston, Texas, United States
|
My daily driver. I would say it is as close to new as you can get after 42,000 miles. Interior and exterior are in excellent shape. Loaded with options - including heated front windshield and rear privacy shade; KASUGA OEM wheels are in a good shape - a few curb rash marks (see pictures).
The car is for sale locally, and I already have an offer from one of the major national dealerships - so please respect your time and mine and don't expect to buy it for a song. However, a decent offer will take it. Still has remaining factory warranty - not a heck of a lot, but better than what you'd get from most places... :-) You won't be disappointed - I am quite particular about the cars I drive and I maintain them well. This one received all scheduled maintenance; the 60,000 mile (4 year) service was done 3 weeks ago; the rear brake pads were replaced under warranty as were other 'consumables' like windshield wipers, etc. All the systems were checked and found to be "OK". I have the title - so, an easy and straightforward transaction once the payment is received. |

Is the Jaguar XFR-S really worth $17k more than the XFR? [w/poll]
Wed, 22 Jan 2014Adding performance to a car is rarely cheap - whether you're looking to do it yourself or rely on the factory to do it for you. In the case of the new Jaguar XFR-S, the cost differential over an already-impressive (and somewhat expensive) XFR is a stout $16,800. Auto Express recently got a hold of both cars to see whether that price pays off on the track.
For that price, Jaguar gives the XFR-S an extra 40 horsepower and 41 pound-feet of torque - for a total of 550 hp and 502 lb-ft - to go with a stiffer suspension, beefed-up differential and, of course, meaner styling. We don't want to ruin the results of the AE video, but right off the bat, the host says that you can feel the extra power of the XFR-S, but that it's not a "night-and-day difference."
Scroll down to see what happens when two high-powered Jags go head-to-head on a track. And then be sure to let us know whether or not you think the added money is worth it for the XFR-S in the completely informal poll below.
Aston and Jag from James Bond Spectre have at it
Sun, May 3 2015Daniel Craig hasn't made a bad James Bond film yet. Spectre is his next step into the iconic role that's due to hit theaters on November 6, and it doesn't look likely to ruin his streak. Still, that's a long wait for such an exciting movie. If you're willing to possibly spoil just a little for yourself, a new featurette shows part of one of the big car chases right now. From what we've seen so far, the chase through Rome in Spectre has earned a good amount of screen time. While the reason for it in the plot is a mystery, that doesn't really matter anyway. What's important is that the scene stars Bond in the Aston Martin DB10 and a villain played by Dave Bautista in the now supercharged V8-powered version of the Jaguar C-X75 racing around the Italian capital's tight streets at night. This clip gives a glimpse at some of the work necessary to get the difficult filming completed. We've seen some of that effort before, though, when footage of the preparation for one shot leaked out. Craig reportedly sustained a pretty bad bump on the head during the shooting, and an earlier rumor also suggested that Bond might get behind the wheel of a Fiat 500 at some point in the scene.
