Jaguar F-Type 'Design Study' headed to Goodwood

With the Goodwood Festival of Speed taking place this weekend, Jaguar has announced it will be there with its new trio of R models as well as a design study version of the hot new F-Type sports car. While we've already seen the XFR-S last year at the LA Auto Show and the XJR and XKR-S GT at the New York Auto Show, the F-Type design study has our attention.
Based on our recent sighting of a fixed-roof F-Type being tested in full camouflage, this could mean that we'll finally get to see a sexy F-Type Coupe in near-production form. Of course, with all of the other R branded models on display, Jaguar could also unveil a sporty new R - or maybe even an RS - F-Type roadster. Whatever is planned, it will not be a static display - Jaguar says the design study car will be in action, making the fabled run up Goodwood Hill with chief engineer Mike Cross at the wheel. Autocar compares new Maserati Quattroporte to Jaguar XJ

Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe took the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte on a spin along snowy mountain roads to test it for a specific brief: as a limousine for the chauffeured class. It's sporting credentials are impressive: Twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, 532 horsepower, 475 pound-feet of torque in casual circumstances that rises to 532 lb-ft in overboost, a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour sprint of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph.
However, citing Maserati's desire to not just increase its sales to 50,000-per-annum by 2015, but to sell many more of its cars in China, Sutcliffe wanted to find out if the livery side of the Quattroporte could match its sport sedan side. So after taking the pilot's seat and trying out the sport settings, Sutcliffe hops in back to test out the CEO's seat.
Then he compares the Quattroporte against the long-wheelbase Jaguar XJ with its supercharged V8, a sedan that's 15,000 pounds less expensive than the Maserati. It doesn't take long for him to find that one of them is a clear winner when it comes to transporting VIPs. To find out which one, enjoy the video below.

Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee season 2 opens with Sarah Silverman and Jag E-Type

Season Two of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee kicked this week in style. How much more style is there to be had than in a 1969 Jaguar XKE, after all? This time around, Seinfeld and Sarah Silverman spend some time driving around in the "slinky, sexy" Jag, talking comedy and then grabbing breakfast.
In addition to the kickoff of the show's second season, this episode also represents the start of a 24-episode sponsorship with Acura. The original deal promised short ads at the beginning and end of each episode, but this time around, Seinfeld "stumbles upon" a 2014 Acura RLX, which is obviously - and admittedly - the work of product integration.
