THIS NICE 2003 JAGUAR X-TYPE, NICE RUNNING AND NICE LOOKING HAS HAD MANY NEW PARTS BOUGHT AND INSTALLED IN THE LAST THREE WEEKS AS STATED ABOVE, COASTING ALMOST $1000. THE PAINT IS SHINY DEEP RED WITH TAN/BROWN LEATHER INTERIOR, WHICH IS REAL SHARP LOOKING WITH A LITTLE DETAILING NEEDED ON THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR. MY VAC IS NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH TO GET IT PERFECT. ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS PRETTY CLEAN AND NO LEAKS BUT NOT DETAILED. TIRES ARE ABOUT 70-80% TREAD LEFT, BRAKES WORK GOOD WITH GOOD PADS. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WORK GREAT WITH ABOUT 109,000 MILES ON THEM WHICH MAY VERY AS IT IS USED DAILY TO DRIVE TO WORK, A WHOLE 8 MILES EACH WAY. IT IS A SENIOR OWNED NON-SMOKER OWNED CAR. IT IS WELL LOADED, EVEN A 6 DISC CHANGER AND OWNER MANUAL AND BOOKS, AND FOLD DOWN REAR SEATS, GOOD HEAT AND AC. AS WITH MOST USED VECHICLES, THERE MIGHT BE A FEW VERY LIGHT MARKS OR WEAR ON PAINT OR INTERIOR. I HAVE OVER $6500 INVESTED IN IT BUT WANT TO BUY A UTILITY VECHICLE OR SUV. Jaguar ousts Lexus from atop J.D. Power 2013 Sales Satisfaction Index
Mon, 18 Nov 2013Jaguar has taken the top spot among luxury brands in the 2013 Sales Satisfaction Index, an annual survey conducted by J.D. Power that measures customer satisfaction with the experience of purchasing a new vehicle. The English brand, not even among the top three luxury automakers on the list last year, vaulted ahead of Lexus, which placed third this year after leading the list in 2011 and 2012. Porsche, meanwhile, moved into second place.
The rankings are based on a point score out of 1,000, with Jaguar earning 740 points, Porsche right behind with 739 and Lexus with 737. Volvo, meanwhile, made the biggest improvement among luxury brands with a 30-point jump to 708, bring it up from 11th place to 9th this year.
J.D. Power has a separate ranking for mass-market brands, and this year Mini again tops the list with a score of 718, far outpacing second-place Buick with a score of 694 and making it the fourth time Mini has lead this list. After Buick, the next two ranked brands are both American and both from General Motors, with Chevrolet and GMC sharing third place with a score of 686.
2014 Jaguar XJR is large, in charge
Wed, 27 Mar 2013There are few things in this world we love more than a huge, supersonic-feeling sedan, and Jaguar has just ripped the sheets off of its newest entry into that set of bruisers. The 2014 Jaguar XJR puts down a full 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque courtesy of a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. All that thrust lands on the rear tires through an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the big aluminum-chassis'd four door can sprint to 60 miles per hour in a skinny 4.4 seconds. Top speed sits at an electronically limited 174 mph, and Jaguar estimates the machine will still return up to 23 miles per gallon highway.

The 2014 XJR also features stiffer spring and damper rates along with an electronically controlled rear differential. Of course, there are plenty of styling tweaks on hand to separate the most menacing XJ from the rest of the family. Those include new fascias, R emblems and massive 20-inch wheels outdoors as well as special seating and trim elements indoors. Asking price? That would Be $116,000 for the XJR and $119,000 for the long-wheelbase L version. Check out the full press blast below.
Evo pits Jaguar XKR-S vs. Mercedes SL63 AMG in heavyweight droptop fight
Wed, 12 Mar 2014We recently received the sad news that the Jaguar XK is ceasing production by the end of the year, but what better way to bid it farewell than with some big, smoky powerslides? The retirement of the sporty GT isn't actually the topic of the latest video from Evo - it's on hand to compete against the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG to see which is faster around a track. Still, we can think of it as a wonderful sendoff for the Jag.
Both convertible grand tourers get their laps around the course, and they couldn't be more different. Driver Jethro Bovingdon gets some grins out of them both, but absolutely giggles while behind the wheel of the XKR-S convertible. The SL63 AMG is the more powerful of the two, but as we know, that doesn't always matter at a racetrack.
