**WILL NEED REPLACEMENT ENGINE AND WHEELS AND TIRES**

Selling a 2002 Jaguar X-Type AWD 3.0L Engine with Manual 5 Speed Transmission.  The engine failed in March 2013 and is not rebuildable (cracked block.)  The wheels have already been sold.  What remains of the vehicle is being sold strictly AS-IS, with a clean title.  This vehicle was purchased new fully-loaded except for navigation.

The vehicle has typical body dings for an 11 year old vehicle, door ding, 1 rear driver fender dent and 1 front driver fender dent, and a shopping cart mark on the front passenger side hood.  The interior could use vacuuming, but the leather is in fantastic shape.  In the 11 years of owning the vehicle the back seat has been rarely and looks brand new.  2 Keys are included (1 key used for the 11 years of ownership, 1 Backup key is like-new condition.)

This vehicle will be great for someone looking for a nice luxury car and is willing to replace a worn engine.  The vehicle will also be great for someone interested in parting out vehicles as there are many great parts in working order.

I have driven the vehicle since new and chose not to replace the engine and rather purchase a new vehicle.  Bring life back to this Baby-Jag!

SHIPPING:  The vehicle is located in New Jersey and shipping expenses are completely responsible from the buyer.  Local pickup by the buyer is preferred.

Jaguar buys world's largest collection of British cars

Mon, 28 Jul 2014

Whether you're looking at Bertone going bankrupt or Spyker facing (and subsequently resolving) a large tax bill, it's saddening to see an automaker having to sell off its factory collection. That's why we're glad to report that there are still some acquiring historic vehicles from their pasts. Like Jaguar, which has just bought the largest private collection of classic British cars in the world.
The collection of 543 cars was painstakingly assembled by one James Hull, a British dentist with some 50 dental clinics to his name across the UK and who was keen to find the right buyer to take possession of his life's work and preserve it for years to come.
Of those 543 cars, the majority are of British origin, including over 130 Jaguars. The collection includes seven XK120s, several C- and D-Types, a rare XKSS, eight E-Types, thirty Mark-series Jaguar sedans, nineteen XJS coupes and convertibles, some twenty XJ sedans as well as some pre-war SS models and Swallow sidecars and coachbuilt specials from the company's early days. Among the many noteworthy examples are a rare SS100, an alloy-bodied XK120 and an MK X owned by company founder Sir William Lyons himself, as well as Winston Churchill's Austin, Elton John's Bentley, and racing driver and motorcycle rider Mike Hailwood's E-Type.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe is here, will debut on stage in LA

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

When Jaguar previewed its new sportscar two years ago with the C-X16 concept, it showed a coupe form. But when the car hit production as the F-Type, it rolled out in roadster form only. Not that we're complaining, but we all knew it wouldn't be long before Coventry revealed the production coupe, and that's just what it's doing at this month's LA Auto Show.
Jaguar hasn't given us much to go on yet - just a single shot of the vehicle from above and nothing in the way of technical details - but we all know the drill. The F-Type Coupe will essentially be the same as the existing roadster, only with a fixed roof - with a large glass panel, mind you, to let plenty of light in and keep the cabin from feeling markedly more claustrophobic than the open-top version.
That ought to make it a little lighter (though not much) and a little stiffer, but otherwise we can expect more or less the same specs as the convertible. We'll have to wait until the evening of November 19 to know for sure, though, so watch this space for more.

Are you the Jaguar F-Type Coupe R-S?

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

It's no secret that Jaguar is working on a fixed-roof version of the F-Type roadster, but now it looks like it's also developing a high-performance model for said coupe. Captured sharpening its claws at the Nürburgring, this F-Type Coupe prototype could very well be an R-S or even a more track-ready R-S GT variant.
Our biggest clue suggesting the latter are its massive brake rotors with bright-yellow calipers - similar pieces are also found on the recently introduced XKR-S GT. This would make sense, since a report in May said that Jaguar is looking to create a full line of R-S GT models in a similar fashion as the Mercedes-Benz AMG Black Series. Missing from this prototype, though, are the telltale aero add-ons we seen on the XKR-S GT - go-faster bits like the latter's front fascia winglets and rear wing, though this model is obviously still being developed. Regardless of what this new grippier, quicker kitty is called, we say "Yes, please."
