MotorCarTrader.com is excited to offer another great classic Jaguar. This truly special 1973 Jaguar E-type Roadster was owned by the same meticulous owner for about 25 years and as we understand about 15 of those years this car spent in a museum. This great Jaguar started its life manufactured on February 21 of 1973. The Silver with black interior color combination is original to this car with all matching numbers (Heritage Certificate included). The date of dispatch was March 26 of 1973. This Jaguar E-type was originally sold new by Tink’s Auto Mart to Southwest Underwriter Insurance Compnay Inc. of Fayetteville, Arkansas on July 24 of 1973. We do have the original metal ownership stamp with this car with original owners name and address, as well as the original owner’s trifold book, owner’s operating and service handbook, original automobile logbook and shop manual. This is certainly one of the cleanest original Series III cars available and that we have ever seen.
In addition, to being a great original car, this car is mechanically sound and one of the best driving E-type Series III cars available. The previous owner spent over $20,000 once the car came out of the museum ( it was sitting for a while) to make this car an excellent driver. He did drive and enjoy the car, which makes these cars very happy. The oil pressure at hot idle (once warm) is excellent at 40 pounds. The compression is also excellent of 130 to 135 across ALL 12 cylinders. It is easy to drive and shifts with no noises in any of the gears with a good feel on the clutch. Furthermore, the car steers with ease and has plenty of power. The ride is very nice and it handles extremely tight. All switches work and gauges are functioning properly as well. This car was repainted at one time (in the original color) and the paint looks beautiful. The car was driven carefully. The paint is not brand new, but still excellent on this car. This Jaguar does not show any signs of accidents or of ever being disassembled which is great for any Jaguar e-type to maintain the original feel of driving and structure. The interior on this etype is original and one of the nicest keep original interiors we have seen on a Jaguar E-type.
More info on this Jaguar:
Only 58,594 original miles.
The cloth top and top boot cover looks like it was replaced at some point.
Included is the original jack and hammer with the car.
All chrome is excellent including the chrome wire wheels and spare wire wheel.
There is rust on this car anywhere. The spare tire compartment is in clean original condition with no rust and original padding and insulation.
A brand new stainless steel complete exhaust system has been installed.
The underside and floors are in excellent original condition with no rust.
The AC compressor is newer and the AC blows very cold.
Overall: This is a very nice Jaguar E-type Series III Roadster. It is wonderful driver and can be driven anywhere. Lastly, it is one of the more attractive Jaguar E-type Roadsters to be found. Jaguar E-type V12 cars are very hard to find in this original type condition, which have not been abused or “restored” or abused. This is a great and special investment car with excellent history which matches its gorgeous overall condition.

It sure feels like the Jaguar I-Pace electric car concept was revealed longer ago than November 2016. That might be because in addition to running barely camouflaged production models around for months, the company has even announced a one-make race series with the car before we've seen the revealed production model. But the wait is almost over. The company finally announced a reveal date of March 1. This comes just before the Geneva Motor Show, and the debut will be shown on a livestream. Not only that, but Jaguar will be taking orders for the EV the same day. Reveal and order dates weren't the only things Jaguar announced regarding the I-Pace. The company also said the I-Pace will be able to get an 80 percent charge from a DC fast charger in just 45 minutes. This charge time necessitates a 100-kW fast charger, though, so that time may vary in real life based on what chargers are available. This is also greater charging capability than Jaguar claimed when the concept was revealed, which promised an 80 percent charge in two hours on a 50-kW fast charger. Jaguar hasn't revealed many other details about the production car yet. When the concept was shown, Jaguar claimed it made 400 horsepower and had a range of 220 miles. The prototypes we've seen on the road also look extremely similar to the concept, so there shouldn't be much, if any, disappointment in the styling department when it's revealed. Related Video:

Volkswagen's diesel emissions scandal has been getting a lot of press recently, but the Takata airbag inflator affair could be grabbing headlines again soon. According to Bloomberg, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is contemplating an expansion to the campaign that could add seven automakers to the 12 already affected. They are Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Spartan Motors, Suzuki, Tesla, Volvo Trucks, and VW Group. To be clear, there's no recall for any of these automakers, yet. The government is simply asking for a full list of vehicles that each of them have with Takata-supplied inflators containing ammonium nitrate propellant. The agency is concerned this substance could play a roll in the ruptures. "NHTSA is considering not only whether to issue an administrative order that would coordinate the remedy programs associated with the current Takata recalls, but also whether such an order should include expansion of the current recalls," the letters say. All seven can be viewed, here. From a report supplied by Takata, the government already knows that the company supplied 887,055 inflators with ammonium-nitrate propellant to VW and 184,926 of them to Tesla. In an incident during the summer, a side airbag allegedly burst in a 2015 VW Tiguan. In early September, NHTSA put out a revised report that there were 23.4 million inflators to be replaced in 19.2 million vehicles in the US. An earlier accounting from the agency had about 34 million of the parts in 30 million cars. High humidity is still believed to be among the biggest risk factors for the ruptures. Although, if ammonium nitrate also gets the blame, some already recalled models might need to be repaired again. Related Video:

One day last year, as David Lorenz waited by the side of the road for repair help with his classic car, he had an idea: Why not update all of that ancient mechanical "character" with a modern electric drivetrain? That would give an owner the beauty of the past, the mechanicals of the present, and the powertrain of the future. Jaguar does it with the E-Type Zero, and Aston Martin's in the game with the reversible EV powertrain swap for the DB6 Volante. And so Lorenz founded the British engineering firm Lunaz Design, named after his daughter Luna and headquartered at the Silverstone Technology Park. The company's first products are almost ready for order, starting with a 1953 Jaguar XK120 and a 1961 Rolls-Royce Phantom V. Lunaz conversions aren't a matter of pulling an engine and installing a battery pack; Lunaz reengineers classics. Managing Director Jon Hilton oversees a team bringing experience from carmakers such as Aston Martin, Ferrari, Jaguar, McLaren, and Rolls-Royce, with Hilton's resume including six years with Cosworth Engineering followed by eight years in Formula One. To develop the Lunaz offerings, a chosen car is stripped to the metal and weighed so that engineers understand the weight distribution at each corner, then the car is stripped to the chassis and 3D-scanned. This yields information allowing designers to create a powertrain that fits to the millimeter and stays true to the handling dynamics of the original vehicle. During the rebuild, the company says, any imperfections are remedied "using traditional coachbuilding techniques." The Jaguar and the Rolls-Royce get battery packs in two locations, one under the hood and one under the trunk floor. Lunaz says it can fit more battery for its in-house design into each car that way. The Jaguar's 80-kWh battery feeds two electric motors sending 375 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. The Phantom V uses a 120-kWh battery pack, but its output hasn't been released. While remaining true to the exterior and interior design of each car, Lunaz fits LED lights and modern tires, a modern suspension, better brakes with regenerative braking, power steering, an upgraded propshaft, and a fly-by-wire throttle. Safety and comfort additions include cruise control, traction control, and anti-lock brakes. Inside, the instrument cluster gets battery gauges, there's modern climate control, an infotainment screen with satellite navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
