I will let the pictures speak for themselves as far as the looks & cosmetics are concerned. If you still have any questons, please ask before bidding.
This is not a restored vehicle as many do claim. It has had a little face lift & interior re-done. The car was painted in BRG a couple of years back &
the paint is almost perfect, except for a very small scratch on the right rear wheel well & the right head light cone (I have an appointment to get that
fixed before the end of this auction). The interior has been done in Nogahide for practicality & comfort, without sacrificing the look of leather. The only
blemish I see are on the spokes of the wheels. Some of them tend to show rust if not kept clean at all times. This car, like all others I own, has been very
well cared for & maintained by me with no expense spared. Reliability & safety are always my top priorities, as I do have a lead foot. I drive all my cars the
way sports cars should be driven.
The original A/C has been updated & blows cold (I have the old compressor etc. which will come with the car). The old Lucas electrical gremlins have been
sorted out so you can drive without the constant worry about an electrical failure. The mechanicals such as suspension, brakes & drive line have been gone
through & all the bushings etc. have been replaced. The engine & transmission were re-sealed some time back & holding up very well. There is very little
trace of an oil leak, considering it is a Jaguar!! Too much has been done over the years to list here, but there is a file folder with all the receipts that will
also come with the car. The car has 4 new tires & a new battery. Good care & regular workouts on the open roads has done wonders for this Old
Jag. With all this being said, it still is a 44 year old car & does not come with any warranty. Personally, I would drive it anywhere without any hesitation.
A note here: Even if you do not bid on this vehicle, you might add me to your favorite seller list as there will be other mostly European & British cars
( Intercepror / MGC / MGB / BMW / M/B / JAG etc. ) that I will be listing on Ebay as I am in the process of reducing my collection to a managable size.
Good Luck & Happy Bidding!!!

Jaguar's design boss wants to build another sports car model
Thu, Dec 5 2019The global sports car segment is facing a strong, glacial headwind, but Jaguar believes smoother waters are right around the corner. One of the company's top executives predicted the market will recover in the coming years, and he wants his team to be ahead of the curve when that happens. "Jaguar will always build sports cars. I'd love to do more than one," affirmed Julian Thomson, the man who replaced Ian Callum at the head of the brand's design department, in an interview with British magazine Auto Express. The only sports car currently in the Jaguar portfolio is the F-Type. While enthusiasts still love sports cars, the run-of-the-mill buyers that keep automakers profitable have rejected them in favor of crossovers and SUVs. And, requests for cleaner, more efficient cars make developing fun cars considerably more difficult; even Mazda is looking into taking the Miata into hybrid or electric territory. Jaguar faces the same challenges, but Thomson expects the sports car segment will rise up from its ashes when motorists realize they're trapped in a sea of crossovers. "In this day and age of electrification and autonomous technology, a part of me thinks there may be a resurgence of people enjoying transportation for transportation's sake, and driving for driving's sake," he said. "Whether that makes the market bigger I don’t know, but I think there is a threat to volume production cars, and they are going to struggle to find a position on what they do. IÂ’d hope that truly special and luxury cars, sports cars, will find a place where they have the option to be more exotic." He stopped short of confirming a second sports car is under development, so it's far too early to pinpoint the segment it would compete in. In the meantime, Jaguar just gave the F-Type a facelift (pictured), and its vehicle development team has already started working on the model's successor. The rumor mill has started spinning; we've heard reports of the nameplate pulling a Corvette by going mid-engined, adopting BMW's 4.4-liter V8, and getting a battery-electric powertrain. The latter option would slot neatly into Jaguar's electrification push, but Thomson hinted it's easier said than done. He explained making an electric sports car with a huge amount of power, like the 2,000-horsepower Lotus Evija, is not the answer.
Jaguar working on windows that open when you touch them
Mon, Jan 12 2015Jaguar is working on side windows that will whir up and down not with a push of a button, but with a touch of the glass itself. According to Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum, "For instance, if you want to pull the windows down, you touch a certain area of the glass and you can actually just drop them down." Callum would go on to caution, "These things are all a work in progress at the moment," before pausing and saying, "That's coming." When we asked when we might see such technology deployed in a production car, Callum, who spoke with Autoblog at the Detroit Auto Show on Monday, said, "I don't know when, but we certainly know how to do it." Callum was less forthcoming about how the technology functions, saying, "Oh, I can't tell you (laughs)... it's proximity, mainly." It's not clear whether traditional physical switches mounted on the doors would still be required with such a system. The designer then went on to discuss Jaguar's innovation in proximity-based switchgear – the automaker has already been using the technology for its interior overhead lighting controls and glovebox release. When we asked about any safety concerns that touch-control windows might generate, Callum said, "I think if it's a very specific area, there's absolutely no ambiguity about what you're trying to do – it's fine." Callum knows a thing or two about the need for absolute specificity in this area – when Jaguar introduced its XF sedan with proximity switchgear, it found passengers were accidentally opening their gloveboxes with their knees, which prompted a quick redesign. "It's a whole new genre of disciplines that we have to think about – what is safe," he said. Design/Style Jaguar Technology Luxury 2015 Detroit Auto Show
Jaguar turns down offers to join V8 Supercars, questions AMG, Volvo participation
Thu, 27 Jun 2013Rumors have swirled in recent weeks that Jaguar may be the next manufacturer to join the V8 Supercars racing series, made popular in Australia but now well-known in other parts of the world as well. Sadly, Jag's participation is not to be. In fact, it would be "insane," according to Jaguar Land Rover Asia Pacific Managing Director David Blackhall, for it to accept either of the two offers it has received to bring Jaguar into V8 Supercars.
Not only is Jaguar not interested in entering V8 Supercars, says Blackhall, it also fails to understand the recent entries from AMG and Volvo. "I don't know what it does for AMG to get flogged by a V8 Commodore week after week, but it's their brand, their issue. And the same thing will happen to Volvo to be honest."
Judging by Blackhall's statements to motoring.com.au, after not-so-serious consideration, the automaker decided the monetary commitment it would take to compete for wins would be more than any potential exposure would be worth, despite the fact that Jaguar has a 5.0-liter V8 to go along with what would seem to be a tailor-made rear-wheel-drive chassis. For what it's worth, one offer would have had Jaguar putting its name across an engine made by someone else, an option that was flatly turned down.
