selling this for a client/friend. below you will find all known history on this car. the only recent history is its been sitting on a lift in a private garage and driven occasionally.
This is a beautiful example of an E-Type Jaguar. It was built in late 1967 and was one of the first series 1 1/2 Jaguars. It has three SU carburetors, 9:1 compression ratio and the favored toggle type switches on the dash.
The present owner has owned this car for approximately 20 years, the last six of which were spent completely restoring the car. The car was completely disassembled, media blasted and restored on a rotisserie. Any rusted metal was replaced and all systems refurbished, replaced or rebuilt. The car was painted with Deltron DBW 75390 SC bright red. The biscuit colored interior was replaced complete, including leather seats and armrest. A new top was installed. Engine was completely rebuild, to include Stellite valve seats for the use of unleaded gas.
Brakes cylinders, SU's were all rebuild, exhaust is stainless steel. Interior chrome trim was replated as necessary.
I am selling this car for my customer/friend. I own the restoration shop that did the paint/bodywork. I can tell you the car is in fantastic driving condition. I do not think the car has many miles on it since restoration was complete.
Beautiful example of a 1967 Jaguar XKE Series One Roadster. I have own this E-Type for approximately five years when I purchased it from the previous owner who had it in his possession for over twenty years, the last six of which were spent completely restoring the car. As you can see in the photos the car was completely disassembled, media blasted and restored on a rotisserie. Any rusted metal was replaced and all systems refurbished, replaced, or rebuilt. This e-type was painted with Deltron DBW 75390 SC bright red. The biscuit colored interior was replaced complete, including leather seats and armrests. A new top was also installed. The 4.2 liter engine, Engine # 7E 12604-9, which is a matching number, was completely rebuilt, to include Stellite valves seats for use of unleaded gas. Brake cylinders and SU's were all rebuilt, stainless steel exhaust installed. Interior chrome trim was replated as neccessary.
Upon receiving delivery of this 67 Jaguar all the following had been performed by Donovan Motorcar Service (Jaguar Specialists in service and restoration) in Lenox, Mass.; installed new temperature switch, new fuel pump, fuel tank cleaned and new screen on pick up tube, new bonnet subframe (painted and color matched) new radiator and header tank, install upper and lower ball joints, steering rack removed, disassembled steering column and new bushings installed, distributor removed and set up on distributor machine to adjust dwell, new battery, complete tune up.
The final upgrade came with the addition of four Dayton chrome wire wheels, 6 inch curley hubs with Pirelli P4000 205/70 ZR 15 SuperTouring tires. The original rims will be included, they were mismatched rims with red line bias ply tires installed.
The paint and the overall condition of this vehicle is outstanding as the photos show. The paint has been polished to a mirror like prefection, all lines are perfect. No were no corners cut in thr restoration of this car inside or out. As beautiful as this jag is from the outside it is an extreme pleasure to drive it. It starts flawlessly and the engine has incredible torque. The handling is incredible with the insatllation of the Pirellis. An appraisal was performed for insurance purposes in Nov. 2009. The appraisal came in at $91,500, with summation: ".Fine, well restored, or a combination of superior restoration and excellent original. Also, an extremely well maintained original showing very minimal wear." Again only for insurance was the appraisal done and this not the number that the reserve is established to. Appraisal will be included with sale.

Jaguar Race Taxis will fling you around the Nurburgring
Tue, May 8 2018The Germans have a word, " fernweh," literally meaning "far sickness," that describes a special kind of longing. It's a strange sensation in which you feel homesick for a place that you're in tune with, a place that moves you, but it's a place you've never actually been to before. Someone who loves cars might be drawn that way to the Nurburgring. But if you're traveling to Germany this summer to fulfill that sense of fernweh, how do you experience the Green Hell firsthand? Your rental-car company might frown on you taking matters into your own hands. But Jaguar may have your answer. The Jaguar Race Taxi experience will give you a hot lap around the 13 miles and 73 corners of the Nordschleife in the 575-horsepower Jaguar F-Type SVR and the equally powerful four-door Jaguar XJR575. You'll ride with professional drivers who won't coddle you — Jaguar promises cornering forces of 1.2g. "A ride in the F-TYPE SVR and XJR575 Race Taxi is a thrilling and truly unforgettable experience for any car enthusiast — or anybody who just enjoys going very fast!" says Phil Talboys, JLR's European engineering operations manager. "Our highly experienced professional drivers are veterans of the Nurburgring 24-hour race, making them uniquely qualified to show customers the true potential of these extraordinary supercharged V8 Jaguars." The laps are available until the snow flies in November. Taxi fare is ˆ199 ($236) per lap in either car. You'll be in and out in 30 minutes, counting the safety briefing, the hot lap and a review of the video you'll walk away with. Oh, and there's a weight limit of 120 kilos (264 pounds), so you stockier souls may want to start your diets now. Reservations can be made at the track or online here. The F-Type SVR can take one passenger, and the XJR575 will haul you and two of your screaming friends. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Jaguar XJ50 Road Trip Review | Driving the XJ50's history
Wed, Oct 10 2018PARIS, France – It's motor show week in Paris, and Jaguar – which launched the original XJ here in 1968 – is indulging in a little nostalgia to celebrate the 50th anniversary that event. In the half century since, it's become the brand's definitive model – as the Wrangler is to Jeep and the 911 is to Porsche. This sexy, curvaceous and unashamedly sporty sedan set the template for generations of XJs. And to get to the show, I'm going to drive examples of each on a roadtrip from Jaguar's home in Coventry and onward to Paris, via Goodwood and Le Mans. There's new product to enjoy along the way, too, in the shape of the celebratory XJ50 trim level created to mark the anniversary. But this is really a chance to explore Jaguar's past, and how previous XJs will inform the company's future. Respecting traditions without being chained to them is a recurring theme in the XJ story and one Jaguar has, at times, struggled with. Nobody understands this better than design boss Ian Callum, who says the original XJ inspired his dream to one day design cars for Jaguar. When his moment came, however, the opposing pressures of nostalgia and innovation became apparent. He recalls seeing the clay models for the circa 2002 XJ, code named X350, styling for which had already been signed off when he started. "I asked 'this is the new one?' because, to me, it looked just like the old version," he says with characteristic bluntness. Callum's chance to truly reinvent the XJ finally came in 2009 with the current model, a car that jolted Jaguar and its customers out of their comfortable slumber. "It's nearly 10 years old now but I still think it looks good – I'm very proud of what we did with that car," he says. Professionally Callum is always looking ahead. Personally he's happy to indulge himself in what came before. He even brought his own XJC – the rare coupe version of the 70s XJ – to drive on the event. Sadly, the XJC didn't make it off the start line in England, but he's clearly enjoying the chance to immerse himself in XJ history. As am I. Given his appraisal of its retro looks, it's interesting to start in the X350. Here you encounter those aforementioned opposing forces: the forward-thinking aluminum construction (which inspired manufacturing techniques used by Jaguar to this day) and the staid styling. Like many of the heritage fleet examples here, this one is actually badged as a Daimler – to Jaguar what Maybach is to Mercedes.
Final Jaguar F-Type produced at Castle Bromwich
Mon, Jun 17 2024Last October, Jaguar told us that the F-Type ZP Edition would be the capstone for the F-Type line, the two-seat coupe and convertible retired at the end of the model year. That turned out to be maybe kind-of a little true; standard versions of the car will continue on sale until early 2025 as Jaguar sells out the car's production. The real last stand for the F-Type is the car above, the final unit down the line at Jaguar's Castle Bromwich facility on May 22, 2024, with its siblings the XE sedan and XF Sportbrake. Colored Giola Green outside with a Tan Windsor leather interior under a black roof, the F-Type will use its 5.0-liter V8 to drive to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust collection on the same day that its inspiration, the Jaguar E-Type, ended production in 1974 with a British Racing Green Series III Roadster. Speaking of which, from 1961 to 1974, Jaguar says it built 75,528 E-Types across three Series'. From 2013 to 2024, the automaker built 87,731 F-Types.  Now that the dealer inventory's stocked, what comes next is the end of the long slog to electrification. We won't know what that looks like until the first product gets revealed sometime next year. It's been three years since Jaguar outlined its electric reinvention, promising a two-door sports car and two SUVs that would contend with Bentley and Rolls-Royce. Since then, the electric coupe is said to have given way to a four-seat GT that we presume has four doors, Autocar saying this one could be considered a reborn XJ, although larger and much more luxurious than the last. Sitting on the new long-wheelbase JEA platform, the outlet predicts each will come with baseline specs of at least least 450 horsepower, all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering, six-figure prices. and super-fast charging times. Designs will be minimalist, heavy on touchscreens and sustainable materials, which are pages pulled from the Range Rover playbook. And we're told the Leaper, Jaguar's leaping cat emblem around since World War II, will be put to bed. Instead, identification will be by Jaguar wordtype outside and in — another Range Rover tic. Even stranger: Autocar says none of the three will fit a rear window. Like the Polestar 3, the Jaguars will use "a digital 'mirror' at the base of the windscreen." If this is true, a mirror on the instrument panel at the bottom of the windshield would be proper old-school Jaguar. The GT is meant to debut first, next year, one SUV per year for the two years afterward.
