The 3.8, Series I, E-type roadsters are hard to come by at a reasonable price. So here is your opportunity to obtain one. The car is in the Signal Red color and the interior is beige leather. The engine had been changed at some point in it's life. The original engine number was R9735-9 as seen on the commission plate photo. The present engine number is R9553-9 which is only 182 engines between each other, which is pretty close and both were made in the same year. As far as the body is concerned, it appears to have a new bonnet as there are no signs of an accident on it. It is in very nice condition as well as the rest of the body. There is no rust that we can see on the car. We even have been around the car with a magnet to check for filler and couldn't find any indications that there is any. The floors, the inner and outer sills are as if they were brand new. The car starts up right away and drives nicely and could even be driven home. Jaguar lets first outsiders drive new F-Type

What do you do when you're an automaker with an all-new and brand-defining sports car, one of them with a supercharged V8 cranking out 495 horsepower? You let proven race drivers test them out on track and on the road.
And what do you do if you're Jaguar and you're in that situation? Why, naturally, you make a video of it. That's how we get footage of racers Martin Brundle, Justin Bell and Christian Danner being choppered into the UK's Snetterton track to test the V6-equipped Jaguar F-Type S prototype. Then when they're finished with kerb-lined apexes, they take the V8 S prototype out onto the roads to run it through hedge-lined apexes.
According to one of them, "very fast, very nimble, great engine" is what will soon be headed our way. Check it out in the video below.

Chris Harris finds the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe rather drifty

Our own Matt Davis may have called the new Jaguar F-Type R Coupe "one heady rascal," but our review was disappointingly short on drifting, tire smoke and general, English shenanigans. You know, the sort of things that Chris Harris from Drive excels at.
Actually, relative to Harris' other reviews, this one is rather serious. There's a good recap of the F-Type on the road, with Harris referencing the car's "great bottom" and "amazing ass," quite frequently. Surprisingly, Harris says the more powerful F-Type R is just "incrementally" faster than the 495-horsepower F-Type V8 S Convertible. Following the on-road portion, it's off to the track. You can probably predict what goes on there. Overall, aside from some quibbles, Harris has nothing but praise for the newest cat.
