2004 Isuzu Rodeo 4X4, Automatic, cruise control, four door, blue with gray interior. Clean title. 152,XXX miles. Downsizing vehicles, otherwise I would be keeping, not desperate to sell, don't need help selling and cash only accepted and no I wont ship it, Reply only by phone, call or text-NO Emails-they will not be answered.
PROS: Honda Motor-will last forever if maintained well as I have done. Reliable. Has new plugs/wires, all fluids changed when due. Timing, water pump was done before I bought it from previous owner. Front and rear drive shafts re-greased and packed/u-joints,O2 sensors, alternator, serpentine belt, fuel filter-tranny filter and gasket, radiator flush and the list goes on-i take good care of my vehicles. Power Windows,Power Locks-ALL work. **New DVD Radio with GPS Navigation, tilt screen. Steering Wheel Controls for radio and cruise controls-all working. Great working A/C and heat. Clean, reliable SUV with 4-Wheel drive. Great in the Winter, you will never get stuck again! Great for camping. Paint in good shape. Decent tires with plenty of tread left. Custom interior lighting front passenger floorboard Clean KS title in hand-ready to go. It is a 2004 so dont expect a perfect vehicle-it does have some minor cosmetic stuff expected with a vehicle of its age and purpose. CONS: ABS light is on but has been since i have owned it and does NOT affect the brakes or driving. It has minor surface rust on one rear driver fender and one spot on a superficial rear corner piece by the driver rear tail light-which is removable and many replacements can be found at any salvage yard. Has some minor seat cushion flaws from the previous owner who smoked. It does NOT smell like smoke as I am a nonsmoker that has owned this vehicle for over two years and keep the interior clean. Needs Oil Control Valves replaced soon and I am including this in the sale of the vehicle-these are $550 plus in parts and you wont have to spend and you wont find them anywhere for that anymore-they are hard to find. Just havent had the time to do it. Doesnt affect the driving abilities of the vehicle. Drivers side auto door lock doesnt work, but does manually lock and unlock. In all-this is a good vehicle that will last many more years. |

Junkyard Gem: 1990 Geo Storm
Sun, Jun 25 2023General Motors began selling rebadged Isuzus in the United States all the way back in 1972, when the Isuzu Faster pickup showed up here as the Chevrolet LUV. A few years after Isuzu began selling vehicles in North America under its own branding, The General began selling Isuzu I-Marks as Chevrolet Spectrums; when the time came to create the Geo division to sell badge-engineered Suzukis, Toyotas and Isuzus here, the Chevy Spectrum became a Geo and a sport compact based on the Isuzu Piazza appeared in Geo dealerships as the Storm. Today's Junkyard Gem is a first-model-year example of the Storm, found with lots of miles and plenty of rust in a Denver-area car graveyard recently. Isuzu began selling this car as the second-generation Impulse for the 1991 model year. Few American car shoppers were interested in that car, but the Storm sold well. For the 1991 model year, a "Wagonback" version of the Storm was added to the lineup. The Storm was discontinued after 1993, and Geo itself got the axe in 1997. The 130-horsepower GSi version of the Storm was one of the best quickness-per-dollar deals of its era, but this car is the base Storm with just 95 SOHC horses under its hood. An automatic transmission was available, but this car has the standard five-speed manual. How much did it cost new? The list price was $10,390, or about $24,741 in 2023 dollars. This one got well past 200,000 miles during its career. The rust is nasty. This car might have been a runner at the end, but corrosion plus high miles, manual transmission and defunct brand all conspired to send it to this place. This content is hosted by a third party. Honda and Isuzu announce hydrogen partnership for heavy-duty trucks
Wed, Jan 15 2020TOKYO — Japan's Honda and Isuzu on Wednesday said they would jointly research the use of hydrogen fuel cells to power heavy-duty trucks, looking to expand fuel cell use by applying the zero-emission technology to larger vehicles. As part of a two-year deal, Isuzu will test Honda's fuel cell powertrain, which was designed for passenger cars, in Isuzu's commercial trucks, the companies said, which could pave the way for using the technology in a wider range of vehicles. Automakers are looking to develop more electric vehicles (EVs) to comply with tightening global emissions regulations. Many see battery-powered EVs as a solution for passenger cars in urban settings, but a growing number see hydrogen fuel cells as an effective way to power trucks, buses and other big vehicles. "Although we have done extensive R&D into passenger FCVs (fuel cell vehicles), we have not been able to study how best to apply the technology to commercial vehicles," a Honda spokesman told reporters at a briefing. "This partnership will allow us to do that." Fuel cell vehicles generate their own electricity using hydrogen stored in onboard tanks. This enables them to travel longer distances and refuel more quickly than battery EVs, while using less costly energy storage systems. "We think that FCV technology is well suited for heavier trucks which travel longer distances, and this partnership will enable us to examine this further," an Isuzu spokeswoman said, adding that the truck maker was also developing various lower-carbon powertrains including battery-electric technology for shorter-distance vehicles. With its Clarity Fuel Cell sedan, Honda is one of a handful of automakers which have developed and marketed fuel cell-powered passenger cars. Light- and medium-sized truck specialist Isuzu has for years has focused on diesel engine technology and has yet to market fully electric vehicles. But a price tag starting around $70,000 for the Clarity and scant hydrogen fueling infrastructure globally, Honda has seen limited take-up of that model and other FCVs since they began marketing them around 2015. In 2018 Honda sold just 654 Clarity FCVs, which are available only in Japan and the United States through leasing programs, compared with Honda's total annual global sales of 5.23 million cars.
Junkyard Gem: 1990 Geo Storm GSi
Thu, Dec 6 2018General Motors created the Geo division in 1989, to sell rebadged Suzukis, Toyotas, and Isuzus in the United States. Most of these cars were snoresville econoboxes, but two Geo models got high-performance upgrades and GSi badging: the Prizm GSi (aka Toyota Corolla GT-S) and the Storm GSi (aka Isuzu Impulse). We saw a discarded Prizm GSi in this series last year, and now it's the Storm GSi's turn, with this '90 in a Phoenix self-service yard. The Storm GSi had a DOHC four-cylinder Isuzu engine making 130 horsepower, which was excellent for a 1990 car weighing a mere 2,392 pounds. The 2,174-pound 1990 Honda CRX Si had a mere 108 horsepower (and two seats), and it cost $11,130 versus the Storm GSi's just-slightly-higher $11,650 price tag. Of course, Isuzus never developed quite the reputation for reliability enjoyed by Hondas. This Isuzu notched up an impressive final mileage figure, though. The Storm sold for just the 1990 through 1993 model years, and the GSi still has a devoted following to this day. The interior is straight-up late-1980s-style Japanese-econobox stuff, with plenty of tough gray plastic. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences.
