Have all funds in order and be ready to complete the transaction as per the terms payment methods and deadlines if you are the winning bidder. Thank you 1994 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2 V6 Automatic Transmission 4 Wheel Drive I purchased this SUV as a favor to a customer, for his sons first vehicle. We went through it in the shop only to have the kids mother end the deal because the SUV is not new enough. Therefore it is being offered for auction to get back PART of what I have invested in the vehicle, parts and labor. The SUV has a very solid body.It spent a good portion of its life in Florida. The only sign of any rust are a few small bubbles on the edge of the hood. The doors, rockers, fenders, undercarriage and frame are excellent. Paint is nice, it has a very presentable appearance. It does have some dings , nicks and scratches from use of a 20 year old vehicle. Interior is amazingly clean. The only wear on any of it that shows is the edge of the drivers seat, which was repaired before we acquired the SUV. It has many options, power windows, locks, mirrors etc. The only thing that I know that does not work is the passenger front power lock. I am not sure if the A/C needs a charge, it has just been far too cold to even tell. Here is a list of what we have done to the SUV New radiator New Alternator New Starter New belts New Universal Joints Fresh Oil and lube New O2 Sensor Transmission filter and fluid change Full new Exhaust System except for the cat new Fuel Filter More recent battery New lift supports on rear window New Windshield The brakes in front are @30% left, the rears are new Rear tires are about 60% left, fronts are about 40% The real kicker is that it did not need all of this, it was requested as the kid was going to use it to go to college and his father wanted it to be more dependable. I have personally driven this around town about 200 miles. It seems to run and drive really good. I have not taken it out on the highway for long periods. I have driven it 55 to 60 on local roads and as I said, it performs good. Long distance travel to go home would be up to the buyer. If it were me, I would trust it to go anywhere but it is 20 years old with high highway miles so keep that in mind. I am going to be in and out all week. Please feel free to ask any questions as I may have missed something important to you. If you need to view it BEFORE you bid, please ask and if I can fit you in while I am here this week, I will be more than happy to do so. Thanks for looking, please REVIEW ALL TERMS AND PAYMENT METHODS/DEADLINES Thank you!! |

Junkyard Gem: 2000 Honda Passport 4WD
Sun, Nov 20 2022The suits at American Honda Motor Company must have spent the bulk of the 1990s tearing out their hair in frustration as their rivals raked in big money from the sales of ever-more-profitable SUVs, even as American car shoppers lost interest in sedans and hatchbacks. Oh, sure, the Civic-based CR-V appeared here for the 1997 model year and sold well enough, but the lack of a larger SUV pained Honda more with each passing year. With the Acura MDX and Honda Pilot not ready for showrooms until the 2001 and 2002 model years, respectively, some stopgap had to be found. Isuzu stepped up and made a deal with Honda: the Rodeo would get Honda badges and become the Passport, while the Trooper would show up in Acura showrooms with SLX badges (for the 1994 and 1995 model years, respectively). Here's one of those Passports, found in a Denver-area self-service yard. Things got even weirder in the Isuzu/Honda world around the turn of the century, with the Honda Odyssey getting Isuzu badges and being sold as the Oasis. Fast-forward to 2009, and the only Isuzu-badged vehicles available new here were rebadged Chevrolets: the I-Series pickup (Chevy Colorado) and the Ascender (Chevy Trailblazer). The Passport name has some interesting American Honda history, stretching back to the first Honda vehicle sold here (and the biggest-selling motor vehicle in human history): the Super Cub. American Honda Motor Company couldn't use the Super Cub name on our shores, because Piper Aircraft had been selling a small plane called the Super Cub since 1949, so the motorcycle was called the Honda 50 over here. Eventually, this bike got a 70cc engine and became the Honda C70 Passport, sales of which continued through the middle 1980s. That means the Passports sitting in your local Honda dealership right now got their name from a one-cylinder motorcycle. General Motors has a Passport connection as well; when GM created the Geo brand to sell rebadged Isuzus, Suzukis, and Toyotas in the United States, it created a marque called Passport to sell the Daewoo LeMans as the Optima in Canada (all the other vehicles sold by Passport dealers were Isuzus). So, Honda's need to offer SUVs in its American dealerships led to an arrangement with GM-connected Isuzu to sell these trucks with a model name bearing links to both companies. So much history in the junkyard! Just as Geo-badged Toyota Corollas (mostly) got Delco radios, so did the Passport get Honda radios.
GM-Isuzu joint venture assembles 1.5-millionth Duramax diesel
Wed, 21 Nov 2012General Motors and Isuzu have officially stitched together 1.5 million Duramax 6.6-liter diesel engines. The joint venture between the two manufacturers started in 1998, and now the DMAX plant employs 517 workers in a 584,000 square-foot facility. GM introduced the Duramax turbo diesel engine to the US market for the 2001 model year, and it can be found trucks like the Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD as well as the full-size Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans. In its current configuration, the engine yields 397 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque at just 1,600 rpm.
Of course, the big oil burner has plenty of tuning potential as well. As you may recall, a Duramax-powered truck recently set the land speed record for towing a vehicle at 142 miles per hour.
GM owns 60 percent of the joint venture, with Isuzu laying claim to the remaining 40 percent. The facility is located in Chicago. You can take a look at the brief press release below for more information on the milestone.
Junkyard Gem: 1980 Chevrolet LUV Mikado
Sat, Oct 9 2021During the 1970s and into the 1980s, each member of the Detroit Big Three imported Japanese small pickups and sold them with Ford (Mazda Proceed), Dodge/Plymouth (Mitsubishi Forte), or Chevrolet (Isuzu Faster) badges here. Ford developed the Ranger and killed the Courier for 1983 (though Americans could still buy the Mazda-badged version all the way through 1993), while The General axed the LUV after the S-10 debuted in the 1982 model year. Isuzu sold the same truck as the P'up through 1987, though, and we might as well follow up our recent P'up Junkyard Gem with its LUV predecessor. LUV stood for Light Utility Vehicle, and I've managed to spot a handful in the boneyards over the years. This one now resides in a yard in northeastern Colorado. The Mikado trim package included striped seat upholstery and a sporty steering wheel, plus these cool dash badges. As far as I can tell, no LUV Mikado advertising featured any Gilbert and Sullivan tunes. This one is fairly rusty for Front Range Colorado, and it has endured a bed swap from some other small truck. The engine is the 75-horse Isuzu 1.8-liter. Members of this engine family went into everything from Chevy Chevettes to Isuzu Troopers in the United States. Very unusually for a small pickup during the Malaise Era, this one has a luxurious automatic transmission. Acceleration must have been a leisurely affair in this truck. Air conditioning? Unheard of! Someone stuck every one of their lunchtime apple stickers on the driver's door. After 41 years of work, this truck is done. Come on strong in a LUV of your own!
