I made a much more thorough walkaround video for this QX56 on our website www.infinitiofkirkland.com that really goes over every aspect of this great looking local trade with the detail you need to make the most intelligent decision.

Check out the perfect Carfax on this immaculate 1 owner local trade.  As you might know, most Infiniti dealers do not report to Carfax (including us and we account for over 2/3 of the Infiniti's sold in the region over the past 16 years we have been here in Kirkland, just outside of Seattle) so it is easy to make a mistake thinking on the one hand that a clean Carfax means no accidents or on the other hand that no service records on Carfax means the vehicle was poorly serviced since the dealers keep an "intranet" that stores the full history of every Infiniti regardless of where it was serviced, but since it doesn't speak to the outside world it doesn't get reported to Carfax.  Word of advice on Infiniti's:  BUY FROM AN INFINITI DEALER, it is the only way to be sure you are getting the real deal.  Beyond that, regardless of where you buy, call an Infiniti dealer, any Infiniti dealer anywhere in the country and have them print the entire history of the vehicle going back to day 1, we can do it for you even if you don't buy from us.

This great looking (Pearl White is the #1 most popular color in full size SUV's) trade in is absolutely dynamite, forget the miles, we just sold one wholesale with almost 300,000 miles for 13300!  Granted, it was nice, but that's A LOT of miles!    This one has the rare and coveted 2nd Row Bench Seat plus Navigation, Trailer Tow (these tow 8900 pounds) and heated leather seats.  Front brakes have 6mm remaining and rear brakes are new with all rotors resurfaced.  Tires are new all around.  If you would like us to fax you the service records to this QX56, or the shop report which is insanely thorough, or the Carfax, or even all of the above, just call me at 425.894.8230 or email me at tunlac@comcast.net. Maybe you want different photos, better photos, an explanation to a misunderstanding or anything at all to make the process smoother and more transparent, let's get you everything you need!

I have managed the pre-owned center at Infiniti of Kirkland for 10 years and have been selling cars here in Seattle for 16 years.  (I paid my way through college in California by selling cars and 6 years and zero degrees later what did I learn?  2 things:  How to sell cars and how to take care of my friends.)  Last year I sold my 10,000 car and made a promise to myself that I would hit 20,000 before I turn 50.  I do not have time to waste your time.  If you want me to hand count the rock chips and I say there are 102 it's because there aren't 101 or 103.  If you want to know if there's alignment drift, I will get in the car and drive it on the freeway, highway, back roads, up a hill or whatever you want to make sure it literally is explicitly what you and I are talking about.  If you have questions about financing, transportation in an enclosed trailer, lowest-price transportation, extended warranties that make the most sense where YOU live and plan on enjoying your new QX56, trading in your car even if you are on the other side of the country, I'm your guy.  I have sold cars to virtually every state in the United States and every province in Canada, Russia, Poland, France, England, I took a trade in from Japan, sold into China, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and wherever you are from I want to meet you too and I want to work hard to earn your valued business.

Infiniti Pebble Beach retro concept is a '50s-inspired electric grand prix car

Wed, Aug 9 2017

Infiniti will debut a retro-inspired race car at next week's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance that combines the style of classic grand prix open-wheel cars with modern design elements and powertrains. The car should fit right in at Pebble Beach alongside all the vintage machinery from the early days of motorsports. Simply dubbed the Infiniti retro prototype, it is Infiniti's idea of what could have been. Basically, the Japanese automaker imagined that it found a car hidden away for 70 years in southern Japan. They took that old look and married it with the brand's "Powerful Elegance" design language. We only have a couple of photos, but it looks like a sleek silver bullet with narrow-section bias-ply tires. We'll have to wait until next week to see the entire thing, but this teaser has us excited. As expected with any modern concept, the retro prototype eschews an awesome multi-carb gasoline engine in favor of Infiniti's EV technology. It's unclear if the car actually runs, but we'd all love to see this put some laps down at nearby Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Related Video:

US buyers show little interest in big hybrids

Sat, May 10 2014

The idea of producing large, luxury-vehicle hybrids is turning into a "what were they thinking?" exercise in futility, USA Today reports. General Motors is discontinuing hybrid versions of the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon SUVs, while Mercedes-Benz and Toyota's Lexus division are doing the same with their S-Class hybrid and LS hybrid sedans, respectively. The culprit? Big price increases for fuel economy improvements that border on the unimpressive. Granted, the Escalade hybrid gets 31 percent better fuel economy than the standard version, but that still maps out to a combined fuel-efficiency rating of just 21 miles per gallon. That can be seen as a worthwhile increase, if it didn't cost over $8,000 extra. The 2014 Escalade Hybrid, for example, starts at $74,425 while the non-hybrid can be had for $66,295. Meanwhile, the Lexus full-size hybrid costs $6,000 more than the regular version but only gets 1-2 mpg better combined fuel economy. The result of all these high costs? Low sales. Through April, GM sold 82 of its hybrid SUVs and pickups, down from 541 a year earlier. And the LS hybrid sales were in single-digit territory for April. That isn't stopping Lexus from promoting its hybrids as the right solution (with the wrong facts), though. There are still automakers giving big hybrid vehicles a shot, though. Nissan's Infiniti division is selling a hybrid version of its QX60 and says an impressive 10 percent of QX60 buyers choose the hybrid, which costs just $3,000 more. Looks like money talks. Infiniti delays fastback-like QX55 crossover until late 2020

Mon, Jan 20 2020

Infiniti confirmed it has delayed QX55 production by about five months. The as-yet-unveiled crossover is a swoopier, more stylish evolution of the QX50 with a fastback-like roof line inspired by some of the company's past models. The Nissan-owned company informed its suppliers production will start in November 2020, not in June as previously announced. It explained it needs to "ensure production capability" at the Aguascalientes, Mexico, facility that will manufacture the model. It didn't provide additional details, though a spokesperson confirmed the new timeline to Automotive News. The factory — a joint-venture between Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler and Nissan — also makes the QX50, the A-Class, the Kicks, and the Sentra, among other models. "Production schedules are internal and due to various operation priorities can move — sometimes forward, sometimes backward — as a normal course of business," a spokesperson told Autoblog.  The QX55 is based on the aforementioned QX50, and spy shots confirm the two models share several design cues when viewed from the front. Minor nameplate-specific details will set the 55 apart from the 50. It's a different story out back, where the 55 ditches the 50's family-friendly silhouette for a fast-sloping roofline penned with an eye on the first-generation FX released for the 2003 model year, five years before the original BMW X6.  Infiniti is not yet revealing technical specifications, but we expect the variable-compression VC-Turbo engine will be one of the available powertrains. The turbocharged, 2.0-liter unit makes 268 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque in the QX50. It also returns 26 mpg in combined driving, according to the EPA. What remains to be seen is whether the delay also affects the car's unveiling date, which hasn't been publicly announced yet. An Infiniti spokesperson told Autoblog the QX55 is scheduled to make its debut "in the next few months," and pointed out it's one of five new models due out in the next three years. When it does arrive, the Infiniti QX55 will compete in the same segment as the BMW X4 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
