2015 Monaco F1 Grand Prix race recap [spoilers]

Lewis Hamilton came to Monaco with a new three-year deal with Mercedes-AMG Petronas and a vow to not let anything, including any "mistakes" by teammate Nico Rosberg, stand in the way of his best qualifying effort. Mercedes reportedly made it rain with a 100-million-pound deal, and Hamilton made it rain right back with his first pole position at Monaco. Rosberg did make a mistake but this time it was behind Hamilton, which meant he stuffed-up the qualifying attempts of rival drivers like Sebastian Vettel. So Rosberg starts second, 0.342 behind Hamilton but 0.449 ahead of Vettel in the Ferrari. Daniel Ricciardo thinks he should have been third, but a communication error with his engineers left him in the wrong engine setting for his final hot lap, so by the very first corner he'd lost the time he would have needed to get higher than fourth on the grid. The second Infiniti Red Bull Racing of Daniil Kvyat slots in behind him, ahead of the second Ferrari of Kimi "Not A Very Happy Day" Raikkonen, who just can't get it going lately. Sergio Perez did for the Sahara Force India what the car can't do on its own, which is grab a top-ten qualifying spot. Toro Rosso rookie Carlos Sainz had qualified eighth but missed a call to the weigh bridge, so he's been slapped into the pit lane. Pastor Maldonado in the Lotus inherits his eighth place, ahead of rookie Max Verstappen in the second Toro Rosso, and Jenson Button in the McLaren. Button only got up there because of two penalties: for Sainz, and Romain Grosjean who had qualified 11th but took a penalty for a gearbox change. The Infiniti Q60 Black S gets an F1 KERS system

This is the Infiniti Q60 Black S that will be debuting at the Geneva Motor Show, sporting some intense bodywork and an F1-inspired powertrain. It exists to draw a closer parallel between the Renault F1 program and the Infiniti brand – a relationship that's surely easier to understand in Europe than it is here, but so be it. Other than the wild bodywork, which includes a heavily sculpted front fascia, bigger side sills, two howitzer-sized exhaust pipes, and a massive rear wing, there's the F1-inspired KERS system. Exactly what that will be is up in the air; the F1 system is complex and expensive. While Infiniti says they want to engineer a road-going solution that's as similar as possible to the F1 KERS system, it's likely it'll be watered down a bit for production. View 12 Photos All in all, the 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 and the KERS system should combine to produce about 500 horsepower. That's all well and good, if it makes it out of concept car purgatory. 2022 Infiniti Q50 adds standard features, drops base trim

The 2022 Infiniti Q50 is nearly unchanged for the new model year. The only really substantial changes are a couple new interior features. Apple CarPlay can now be used wirelessly, and is standard along with wired Android Auto compatibility. Your streamed tunes also play through a standard Bose 16-speaker sound system. Additionally, all Q50 models come with real leather upholstery, power memory seats and power tilting and telescoping steering column. The trim line-up also gets a tweak. The base Pure trim has been eliminated, leaving just three trim levels: Luxe, Sensory and Red Sport 400. Engine and drivetrain options are the same, with the standard engine being a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 making 300 horsepower. The Red Sport 400 gets a 400-horsepower version of the engine along with brake and suspension upgrades. Both engines use a seven-speed automatic transmission and can be paired with rear- or all-wheel drive. With the loss of the Pure trim, the base price has naturally jumped. The new starting point is the $43,125 Luxe, which is also $300 more than last year's Luxe. The Sensory starts at $48,825, and the Red Sport 400 starts at $56,975, each trim costing $100 more than last year. The 2022 Q50 models will arrive at dealers this month.
