This listing is for a 2003.5 G35 sedan 6mt with the optional nismo areo package, sports package and premium package.  The body currently has 82,XXX Miles and I have owned this vehicle for the past 9 years, I bought the car from the original owner in 2005 with around 30,000 miles. The transmission was replaced by Infiniti under warranty and currently has 30,000 miles, the issue was due to a design flaw in Nissans standard transmissions that were used in the 350z and g35 sedan and coupe. The engine was also replaced recently due to having oil consumption , the new motor currently has 35,000 miles on it with no issues and came out of a 2004 350z. The rims are OEM Rays 19'  that are lightweight forged and came as a sports package option for the coupe,  the tires have been recently replaced with less then 3,000 miles on them. New Drilled & slotted rotors and ceramic brake pads have also just been installed, with less then 1,000 miles.  The G35 also currently has coil over suspension that is both height and damping adjustable. The reason I'm selling the car is to fund and pursue a oppurntinty to train Rugby full time at a Olympic Development Academy.

Car and Driver: Say hello to the four door Z

The sedan's new six-speed is the same transmission used in the FM-platform ("front midship") coupes-the Nissan 350Z and the G35 two-door-and naturally features the same gear ratios and 3.54:1 final-drive ratio. It's no surprise, then, that it feels and operates the same. Which is fine by us, because the transmission is direct and precise and offers a satisfying mechanical feel. More important, it puts you in full control, connecting you to the car in a way an automatic can't. By removing the torque-converting middleman, you can literally get a feel for the 260-hp 3.5, with the pedals and shifter transmitting the engine's vibes, especially as the needle approaches the 6600-rpm redline. The effect is man-and-machine harmony.Unlike a buttery Acura TSX or BMW 3-series gearbox that can be sliced and diced with almost complete nonchalance, the G35's does require some deliberation when shifting, because neutral feels as if it were housing a miniature turnstile. It creates resistance when exiting one gate and entering another. It's not bad or annoying, just different. You simply have to shift as if you mean it.When you do, the rewards are swift. The sprint from 0 to 60 consumes 5.9 ticks, 0.3 quicker than the best time we managed with the automatic and only 0.4 and 0.5 second slower than a 280-hp G35 two-door and 287-hp 350Z Track, respectively. The new six-speed, 235-hp BMW 330i with Performance package (September 2003) was a bit quicker as well, hitting 60 in 5.6 seconds. The power difference among the Nissan 3.5s is even less evident in the quarter-mile times. Our test car devoured 1320 feet in 14.2 seconds-an identical time to the coupe and only a 10th behind the Z. The Bimmer needed 14.3 seconds. It seems the various outputs from the 3.5s are closer than Nissan would like us to believe. Moreover, when equipped with the manual, the G35 sedan comes standard with the sport-tuned suspension package-more aggressive damping and W-rated 215/55R-17 Goodyear Eagle GS-D summer tires-resulting in a car that handles and brakes right with the coupes. On the skidpad, the sedan, at 0.87 g, fell slightly behind the Z Track at 0.88 g and the G35 coupe's best at 0.90, but it managed to top the 330i (0.86). And keep in mind that those three cars ride on bigger 18-inch wheels and tires. Despite wearing the skinniest rubber, the G35 still shorted them all, posting a distance of 153 feet from 70 to 0 mph. That's less than the pavement needed by the Z (164), G35 coupe (157), 330i (158), and even the Lamborghini Murcielago (155) and the Saleen S7 (156). Perhaps Nissan had some leftover brakes from the R390 GT1 supercar. "Hey, Taka, what should we do with these fancy brakes?"Nissan would still like us to believe that the FM two-doors are sportier than their four-door counterpart, but now that the manual has found its rightful home in the four-door, it's more a question of "How many doors do I want?" Yes, the Z is stiffer and harder-edged than the G35s, and the two-doors sit lower to the ground than the four-door does, but the overall driving experience among the three is like describing three flavors of chocolate. Each has its subtleties and distinctiveness, but in the end, they're all still chocolate.

Infiniti readies Juke-based ESQ crossover specifically for China

Wed, 11 Jun 2014

When most luxury automakers started getting into SUVs and crossovers, they started at with the largest models, but have gradually been getting smaller. Think Lexus and the LX, Audi and the Q7, or BMW and the X5, and you'll see what we mean, because each of them has been steadily downsizing its crossovers ever since. But Infiniti is going even smaller. At least, in China, anyway.
That's where the luxury marque from Nissan will soon be offering the new Infiniti ESQ. The smallest of Infiniti crossovers has been developed in China, exclusively for the Chinese market to meet Chinese tastes. It shares its underpinnings with the Nissan Juke, but instead of starting with the base model, Infiniti China has started with the more potent Juke Nismo - complete with 1.6-liter turbo four producing 197 horsepower - and added on premium accoutrements. The exterior that appears to be differentiated by a new grille and wheels, featuring the ESQ logo instead of Infiniti's, but the same quirky styling that sets the Juke apart. Though all we can of the interior is the steering wheel, you can bet that Infiniti gave the ESQ a more luxurious cabin space, too.
Infiniti's global communications manager Stefan Wienmann told Autoblog that the company is "expanding [its] portfolio not only globally but also specifically in China," adding the ESQ to a market-specific lineup that includes long-wheelbase versions of the Q50 sedan and QX50 crossover. "We see specific sales opportunities in this segment," explains Wienmann, adding that a targeted project like the ESQ "also enables us to gain experience in positioning a new premium model to the 'new millennials', a customer group that is very important to us."

2020 Infiniti Q60 Infotainment Driveway Test | Baby steps forward

Mon, Apr 6 2020

Infiniti is slowly coming round to the modern age of infotainment systems this year, and our first taste of that is in the 2020 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400. This performance coupe has an updated system in it that, while it looks a whole lot like it did before, represents a step forward for Infiniti. Most importantly, Infiniti has finally added Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality for 2020. Every new 2020 model year car should ship with the smartphone connection technology baked in, and Infiniti has finally gotten with the program this year on nearly all of its cars (QX60 is the holdout). The delay might have something to do with Nissan/Infiniti's reluctance to share customer data to Apple and Google, or perhaps Infiniti was waiting to roll out a broader interface update, but either way, the hardware they've applied it to would seem to be the same as before.  2020 Infiniti Q60 infotainment system View 9 Photos This updated interface also has upgraded graphics for a smoother experience. The improved performance is acceptable, but the problem with Infiniti’s InTouch twin-screen system has always been more than just its lack of speed. Compared to the advanced infotainment systems from Germany, InTouch looks and feels about five years behind the curve. Mercedes' MBUX, BMW's iDrive and AudiÂ’s MMI all respond with the speed and vigor we expect from top-shelf smartphones these days. The Infiniti's UX is as uninspiring as it gets. Simple, colored boxes fill the bottom screen, and a difficult-to-reach navigation system fills the top. Unfortunately, Infiniti decided to drop Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality into the top screen, too — there was hardly any choice, as important car functions and settings are found on the bottom. Reaching all the way to the top row of icons on Spotify while driving is not easy when theyÂ’re all the way up there! And I promise you, my arms are normal length for a 5-foot 10-inch individual. A widescreen solution is better, which we once again found to be the case in the new Toyota Highlander. Another new feature this year is the addition of a WiFi hotspot for up to seven devices. Once again, itÂ’s a feature thatÂ’s been offered for years from other manufacturers, but itÂ’s still worth noting that a new Infiniti you buy will have it. After using the system every day for a week, nothing truly got on my nerves. It works, albeit slowly and without flare or excellence.

Infiniti Q50 sedan recalled over steering software glitch

Thu, Jun 16 2016

The Basics: Infiniti will recall around 60,000 Q50 sedans globally due to a glitch in the software that controls the cars' direct adaptive steering system. It's this hardware and software that allows the Q50 to steer itself autonomously under certain conditions. A total of 28,182 Q50 sedans will be recalled in the US, with another 3,804 in Canada. We're not certain yet which model years will be recalled, but the direct adaptive steering debuted in 2014. The Problem: According to Infiniti spokesperson Stefan Weinmann, "in certain rare circumstances, just after starting the vehicle" a software glitch "can lead to a lack of steering responsiveness and change in turning radius." Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: Infiniti hasn't yet announced how it will fix the issue, but a software update seems likely. That means a trip to the dealership. If you own one: Expect to hear from the manufacturer later this month or next.
