2.4l Front Wheel Drive
Very nice overall condition, 2 owner, 1 family vehicle - we acquired it from the grandparents with 86k miles last summer. No accidents, never smoked in, very clean, runs and drives great and it's only seen 1 Michigan winter! Zero rust anywhere. Averages about 24 mpg for us.
Power windows, power locks, cruise control, A/C all work as they should. Factory tinted windows and nice aluminum rims.
Blemishes: though the paint is nice and glossy, there are small scratches on a few of the panels. There's a small nick in the rear bumper below the marker light (shown in a pic). The cruise control works, but the button has popped off, I still have it but haven't tried getting it fixed. The steering wheel has duct tape covering what appears to be a bit of missing material. We have a steering wheel cover on it that covers the blemish perfectly.
Overall the car looks and drives very nice and looks newer than it is.

Hyundai-Kia fuel-economy errors trigger $300M in federal penalties [w/video]

Hyundai and Kia are getting more than a slap on the wrist for overstating the fuel economy of an estimated 1.2-million vehicles in their 2011-2013 model ranges. The Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Justice and the California Air Resources Board are hitting the automakers with collective penalties valued at around $300 million for Clean Air Act violations. This amount includes $100-million in civil penalties, the largest such fines in EPA history. Specifically, Hyundai is paying a $56.8 million penalty and relinquishing 2.7-million greenhouse gas emissions credits. Kia is paying $43.2 million in penalties and giving up 2.05-million credits.

Wed, 18 Jun 2014Consumers continue to struggle with the advanced user interfaces and technologies being fitted to new cars, according to the latest J.D. Power Initial Quality Study. Overall, the industry average for problems per 100 vehicles climbed three percent, to 116 issues reported in the first 90 days of ownership.
Vehicles from the General Motors' family were dominant, with Buick, Chevrolet and GMC capturing more individual IQS segment awards than any other manufacturer. Despite its well-publicized issues, six GM vehicles (Buick Encore, Chevrolet Malibu, Chevy Silverado HD, Chevy Suburban, GMC Terrain and GMC Yukon) were given IQS awards for their respective segments.
Hyundai was ranked the best overall mass-market brand, with just 94 issues in every 100 vehicles reported in the first 90 days. Parent Hyundai Motor Company, meanwhile, trailed GM with five vehicles winning their segments, including the Hyundai Accent, Elantra and Genesis, as well as the Kia Cadenza and Sportage.
Hyundai and Kia adding Google Maps API to nav systems
Sat, 05 Jan 2013Hyundai's Blue Link and Kia's UVO infotainment systems will be adding three Google features: Send2Car, Point of Interest Search and Local Search by Voice. Send2Car lets travelers send destinations to their vehicle's navigation system from a computer or via a mobile phone app, and the POI and local searches are continuously updated in Google Places' database. The new data service integrations mean that drivers will have more access to more destinations and be able to find them more quickly.
Hyundai hasn't said when the new features will debut nor on what model. Kia buyers will find them introduced on the 2014 Kia Sorento expected to roll into dealerships shortly, with the Forte sedan following. You'll find a press release on the updates below.
