NOTICE: I RECENTLY ENDED THIS ITEM DUE TO A LISTING ERROR! I stated that the remainder of the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty was "fully" transferrable. This is NOT completely accurate. The 10 year 100,000 mile portion is only valid for the ORIGINAL owner. I apologize! There are parts of Hyundai coverage that WILL transfer, including 7/70 corrosion warranty and 8/80 emissions. I am listing as "LIMITED WARRANTY." Before I get to the description the purchaser WILL receive... ***WASH & DETAIL!!! ***FULL TANK OF GAS!!! ***FRESH OIL CHANGE!!! ***REMAINDER OF SIRIUS XM SUBSCRIPTION!!! This vehicle has just passed the Virginia Safety Inspection (required yearly in VA)! I am offering my 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe for sale due to a recent job transfer. I will not need a second vehicle since I will not be commuting. I purchased the vehicle Brand New in March, 2011. Since I have put 61,500 HIGHWAY miles as a result of a 100 mile per day commute to and from work. (mileage will be minimally higher at time of sale). I have performed routine maintenance religiously. I completed oil changes on average every six (6) weeks for the entire life of the vehicle (3,000 mile intervals). The air filter and cabin air filters have been changed several times, including recently. The windshield wipers were replaced a few weeks ago. This Genesis Coupe is outfitted with a set of Goodyear Eagle Sport ALL SEASON tires with 4,000 miles on them. Again, I am selling my baby because I simply do not want the added expense of a second vehicle...fuel, insurance, taxes, etc. I am the original owner and I have ALL maintenance receipts. I am a non-smoker and somewhat of a neat freak. The cigarette lighter has NEVER been used. This has been my daily driver / commuter, thus leading to the 61,500 miles, but these are "good" miles. The engine is operated at high temperatures which is optimal for maintaining a clean fuel system. Not like stop-and-go traffic which is damaging. It also leads to minimal brake wear on the interstate as opposed to city streets. I am including a custom "Heat Shield" windshield sun screen with this sale as pictured. If you are in the market for a well-maintained, clean Genesis Coupe then look no further. I am motivated to sell, but not desperate. I will lower the reserve for SERIOUS buyer! Now comes the legal stuff. I, personally, am NOT offering any warranty, expressed or implied, other than the remaining Hyundai FACTORY warranty. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. I also require a deposit at the time of purchase which will either be refunded at the time of delivery or applied to the remaining balance at your discretion. However, the deposit will NOT be refunded if payment in full is NOT made in FULL within 7 days of the close of the auction (sale). Please have your finances arranged prior to buying. I will NOT assist with financing or accept anything less than the agreed upon sale price. Thank you for your understanding. Now, my name is Stacy A. Zimmerman. You can call me with ANY questions or concerns ANYTIME @ (540) 487-1313. My name is Stacy and I will do my very best to help you any way I can. The state inspection has been done here in Virginia for your piece of mind. I assure you this car is sound. The photos should attest to this. There are some minor chips and scratches, but nothing significant. There is one deep scratch near the bottom, front that I have documented. White, believe it or not, is cooler and does not show dirt like you would think. Thanks for looking and I hope to hand you both sets of keys soon. I do have all the original paperwork and manuals, including the window sticker. According to NADA, the trusted auto price guide used by auto dealers, the car is $16,600 retail. There is a $1275 deduction for mileage(20,000 miles per year) and a $750 deduction for manual transmission instead of automatic. That puts the car in the $14,600 range. It is in great shape w/ new tires, oil change on 2/20/14, safety inspection in January, and I'll throw in the rubber mats pictured in the ad. You're getting a great car with lots of extras. Make me an offer. Thanks. Stacy Z....

A brief taste of Korea's latest dish | 2018 Hyundai Kona

Wed, Jun 21 2017

Disclaimer: We were limited to a short 10-minute drive at Hyundai's research and development facility in Namyang, about a 90-minute drive from the South Korean Capital of Seoul. The closed loop didn't provide much in the way of road variation, and we reached a blistering top speed of 45 mph with all of three opportunities to use the brakes. The Kona we drove was a Korean-spec model. Suspension and steering tuning will be adjusted for the US, though we couldn't get a clear answer on what sort of changes that entails. Expect the US model to be a bit softer than what the Koreans and the Europeans will see, though we'll have to wait until a full first drive to be sure. Hyundai has been on a roll lately, releasing a series of solid if not exactly groundbreaking products, though until now they company was missing an entry into the ever-burgeoning B-segment crossover. For several years, compacts like the Honda HR-V and Mazda CX-3 have ruled the class, but Hyundai is going all-in on crossovers, with several new models on the horizon. The first one out of the gate is the Kona. In the next few years, we'll see a model that slots below the Kona and a large SUV that will sit above the Santa Fe. We got our first look at the new model at Hyundai's new Motorstudio, a place that's half interactive museum and half high-end conference space. The Kona's styling, a mix of original and derivative design elements, is sure to be divisive. The most standout feature is the plastic cladding that comes in either black or grey, depending on the body color. Hyundai is calling it armor. We just hope it's affordable to replace. The front wears Hyundai's cascading grille, an element that's making it's way across the automaker's lineup. It's flanked by what Hyundai is calling is calling composite headlights. It's a split design that places the slit-like turn signals above and separate from the actual headlights. It looks very similar to the current Jeep Cherokee, odd considering the controversy that model caused a few years ago. There's also a bit of Nissan Juke in there, though substantially toned down. You best get used to it, though, as design chief Luc Donckerwolke says it's the new face of the brand. Expect to see some variation making its way across the automaker's lineup. Not so with the rest of the Kona, as Donckerwolke said each model will get unique elements only found on that particular car. For the Kona, it's the armor.

Genesis gets serious about selling cars in China with new CEO

Tue, Dec 17 2019

Hyundai's Genesis brand announced Tuesday that former Mercedes-Benz vice president Markus Henne was named CEO of Genesis Motors China. Henne will be in charge of the company's push to introduce the brand to the world's largest automotive market.  Henne will report to the brand's new global boss, William Lee, who was appointed to run the luxury subsidiary in October. One of Lee's key goals is to expand the brand's footprint in Europe and introduce it to China. Henne previously served as VP of Sales & Marketing for Mercedes-Benz in Taiwan, and prior to that oversaw the AMG division in China.  Hyundai does not yet have an ETA for formally introducing the Genesis brand to the Chinese market. Feasibility studies are still pending.  Unfortunately, while China's auto market is massive, with more than 20 million units sold to date so far in 2019, it's also one of the most tumultuous. This will be yet another major obstacle to the success of Hyundai's premium brand, which has struggled to gain traction in the United States thanks to corporate restructuring and an anachronistic product mix leaning heavily on sedans.  Genesis is working hard to correct the issues with its lineup. A lack of crossover/SUV offerings would likely be the headline for any other struggling brand, but the company's woes extend far beyond the showroom appeal of its current offerings.  In 2019, Genesis completed a restructuring of its U.S. operations. America is the brand's core market, and for much of 2018, it was unable to do business in most states thanks to Hyundai's decision to spin Genesis off into an independent brand with its own dealer franchises. Throughout the year, sales volumes tumbled as Genesis simply did not have retail outlets through which to move product.Â
