Car And Driver says...

Hyundai is cranking out quality cars that offer plenty of value for the money, and the Elantra is a case in point. With three body styles—sedan, coupe, and five-door GT—the Elantra is a worthy opponent for the competition. All Elantras are powered by a 148-hp, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.

Kelley Blue Book? says...

If you want a good-looking, fuel-sipping compact car that offers a lot of features for the money, the 2013 Elantra deserves a high spot on your consideration list. Add in the fact that its interior technically garners midsize-car status and its powertrain is backed by a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty, and the Elantra looks even sweeter.

What’s special about this Beepi car

What's not to love about a radiant silver Hyundai Elantra? This car is a happy, easygoing companion who can be relied on for many miles and who will help lighten your load at every opportunity. Beepi seller Jaehyon is moving and can't bring his car with him, but he took exquisite care of his ride and knows you will love it too.

18,000 miles into its life, this car just loves to be driven. Whether on windy country roads or in the hilly grid of the city, this little sedan is happy so long as it is moving. In addition to being in lovely condition, this car has lots of nice features to improve your drive, from heated seats to steering wheel controls. You can have confidence in this Hyundai no matter where your journey takes you.

Dimples

dim·ple [’dimpel/]: a small depression in the flesh, either one that exists permanently or one that
forms in the cheeks when one smiles.

Many Beepi cars have dimples, too. They are small, natural, form over the course of a car’s life,
and add character.

We love our car’s dimples, but want to make sure you know about all of them first before
considering purchase.

Take a look.

2015 Hyundai Genesis

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

Hyundai grabbed our attention with its first-generation Genesis. Now, with this second-gen model, the company's job is to keep it. The 2015 Genesis, known internally as "DH," wisely follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, a model that showed the automaker's naked ambition, putting it on the map of not just bargain hunters, but the upwardly mobile, too.
The outgoing Genesis proved Hyundai was capable of producing a premium car of superior quality, complete with a plush interior, handsome looks and a relatively sporty driving demeanor, all for the sort of cut-rate price the brand built its reputation on. The first Genesis worked wonders for expanding Hyundai's allure, opening it up to all kinds of new car shoppers who previously wouldn't have given its other models a second glance.

Hyundai to recall 27,500 Genesis sedans over brake issue

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Following an investigation launched by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration earlier this week, Hyundai will reportedly recall 27,500 Genesis sedans due to braking problems. Roughly 40,000 Genesis sedans from the 2009 model year were originally under investigation, but this official recall affects vehicles from 2009 to 2012.
A Hyundai spokesperson told The New York Times that brake fluid may cause the brake control unit valves to corrode, which reduces braking power. Affected cars will have their brake fluid replaced, and if necessary, will have the control unit replaced, as well.
The original NHTSA investigation was launched after the government agency received 23 complaints from owners citing reduced braking power and increased pedal travel. One incident reportedly resulted in a crash, while another caused a driver to lose control of the car. NHTSA has not officially announced the recall as of this writing.

Hyundai-Kia forecasts slowest sales growth in 8 years

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Even with the arrival of the new Hyundai Genesis Sedan (above) and the expected introduction of at least two other new vehicles in 2014, Hyundai-Kia is estimating its sales will only increase by about 4.1 percent this year. Bloomberg has found that figure, which works out to a total of 7.86 million vehicles worldwide, to be lower than average analyst estimates of eight million vehicles. If the automaker is correct, that figure will represent the most sluggish growth for the Korean brands since 2006.
Based on an exchange rate of 1,050 won to the dollar - right now it's trading at anywhere from 1,050 to 1,052 depending on where you look - Hyundai is predicting a 3.8-percent uptick for sales of 4.9 million units, while Kia is expecting a 4.7-percent uptick for sales of 2.96 million units. That exchange rate is predicted to be part of what will hamper sales this year, with a stronger South Korean won making Japanese cars more price-competitive when cross-shopped. It's unclear how Hyundai derived its exchange rate, but 1,050 won to the dollar almost matches the 52-week high for all of 2013.
The company chairman mentioned a "low growth era" in the world economy, and weaker US sales are rumored to at least part of the reason John Krafcik recently vacated the post of Hyundai Motor America CEO, a post that has been filled by executive vice president of sales, David Zuchowski. That unexpected news capped a year in which two top execs resigned over quality issues and recalls and Hyundai agreed to settle a consolidated lawsuit over inflated fuel economy ratings for $395 million.
