2002 Hyundai Elantra Gls on 2040-cars
Fords, New Jersey, United States
|
Hello. im selling a used 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLs...It is the perfect first car for new driver, or a "get around" car. It has 115862 miles on it. (at time of listing) my wife will be driving car to go to work until its sold. I am second owner. I bought this car 2 years ago for my daughter to get back and forth from high school. She is away in college now so she will not need this anymore. I recently put a new battery in, and besides oil changes this is only thing car needed. It has been very reliable car for her. The tires have plenty of life in them. The car does have a dent in driver side front fender, and a little surface rust on back passenger rear panel, this is how I purchased it, it also has normal dings and scratches for a 12 yr old car hope the pics provided show this. There is also a squeaking noise that comes from rear of car, this is being caused by a baffle mechanism from inside gas tank, and its no way harmful to you or the car. To fix it my mechanic said he would have to drop the gas tank...it was cheaper for me to hear the squeaking every once a while.. :) Being as honest as I possibly can be. Any questions, or a test drive feel free to message me and I will get back to you ASAP. I live in central NJ...very close to Staten Island and rest of NYC Thanks so much for checking out my auction, and good luck. ** Selling car locally as well, so have right to end auction early** |

New Hyundai Veloster N sports a big wing under its camouflage
Thu, Jun 8 2017Hyundai is deep into development of the second-gen Veloster, the follow-up to the odd asymmetric hot hatch. The first car was good, but it wasn't quite great, missing the mark on a number of details. In the intervening years, Hyundai products have improved across the board and no longer require any hedging or justification as a value proposition. Hopefully the same is true with the new car. The spy photos we have hear appear to show the Veloster N, the high performance version of the hatch. N is Hyundai's new in-house tuner. The group is working on a more powerful version of the i30, known in the US as the Elantra GT. Despite the camouflage, we can see that the Veloster in these photos has a number of upgrades that give away the N tuning. This includes large wheels, big brakes with red calipers, big exhaust outlets, and what appears to be a large Civic Type R-style wing. There are few other details we can make out, but the most obvious and notable is the asymmetric door setup. The car will have two doors on the passenger side and just one on the driver's side, just like the first model. We don't know how much power the car will make, but expect somewhere close to 250 horsepower from a turbocharged four-cylinder. Look for a full reveal sometime in the next year. Kevin Hart tracks his daughter's Genesis in Hyundai Super Bowl ad
Thu, Feb 4 2016As the official automotive sponsor of the NFL, Hyundai has a massive advertising presence during Super Bowl 50, including four commercials premiering before or during the game. A newly released spot titled First Date markets the Genesis sedan (soon to be the Genesis G80) with humor by casting comedian Kevin Hart as a concerned dad who spies on his daughter's date. The commercial highlights Hyundai's Blue Link Car Finder that lets owners track their vehicle from a smartwatch. Hart uses it to follow his daughter on her date in increasingly absurd ways. By the end of the spot, he's hanging off a helicopter to keep an eye on her. This is also the second automotive ad to use a Queen song this year. Where Hyundai's commercial uses Another One Bites the Dust, Honda picks Somebody to Love for its Ridgeline spot. The 60-second commercial airs during the pre-kick time slot and joins Ryanville and The Chase among Hyundai's Super Bowl ads. The still unreleased Better premieres during the pre-game and shows the automaker's desire to improve its vehicles and customer experience. Related Video:
2015 Hyundai Sonata
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Completely redesigning a vehicle competing in a fiercely contested segment requires delicately balancing styling, performance, safety, efficiency, innovation, passenger comfort and pricing, while simultaneously not alienating model loyalists. In other words, it's no simple task.
Automakers generally follow one of two paths. Some take a conservative approach and choose to raise each bar marginally, in an effort to appease all and estrange none. Others strategically take risks and focus on specific attributes in an attempt to shift perception about their vehicle.
With its all-new 2015 Sonata, Hyundai has taken the second approach when overhauling one of its best-selling vehicles. The Korean automaker has executed an impressive number of targeted improvements, yet it's also softened some of its predecessor's qualities in an attempt to demonstrate greater refinement and position its midsize sedan upscale. Whereas the outgoing car successfully aimed to establish itself as a credible contender in the midsize segment, the new model is gunning for customers that might otherwise be seeking entry-level models from luxury automakers.
