2001 Hyundai Accent L Hatchback 3-door 1.5l. Cheap On Gas And Insurance. on 2040-cars
Scottsdale, Arizona, United States
The car is in great condition. Clean Title, clean records. Inside super clean and great condition. The car drives perfectly and the engine runs great, bring the car once a year to my mechanic for maintenance and check up. Recently passed the required emission test. 1 small crack in the front bumper, a $120 fix. 1 minor accident happened few years ago in a Walmart parking lot (very low speed) causing the drivers door not to open. The faulty party insurance took care of the full reparation but a different key is needed to open this door only. If you check the CarFax you'll notice their was multiple owner. This owner were my siblings and 1 family friend. We took great care of it. Our dad always made sure the engine was properly maintain. We use this car when we went to college, very reliable, fun to drive and super cheap on gas. Depending on the gas price a full tank cost me between $28-$35 every 9 days. According to google the miles per gallon (mpg) are 27 city / 37 highway. My monthly insurance price is $60. I installed an auxiliary port to be able to connect my iphone or others. I'm selling it because I've got my eyes on a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. Feel free to reach out if you've any question. You are more than welcome to have it inspected by a mechanic. Thank you. |

Hyundai mulling new Lexus-fighting upscale crossover
Mon, 18 Aug 2014The idea of Hyundai marketing a luxury automobile might have seemed ridiculous a decade ago, but that was before the Genesis sedan, Genesis coupe and Equus came along. Now that buyers seem more accustomed to the notion of an upscale Hyundai, the Korean automaker is said to be considering launching a luxury crossover to take on the likes of the Lexus RX and Cadillac SRX.
The report comes from our compatriots at Edmunds, who spoke to Dave Zuchowski, head of Hyundai's North American unit, who said that the project is not yet part of the company's plan, but that "it is something under consideration."
The last time Hyundai entered that territory was with the Veracruz (pictured above), a model that was sometimes compared to but ultimately failed to compete with the Lexus RX when it was sold between 2006 and 2011. The Veracruz was effectively replaced by the seven-passenger Santa Fe with which it shared its underpinnings. This new project being considered would similarly be based on the latest Santa Fe, and the challenge Hyundai is facing once again would be to position it as a sufficiently upscale product to warrant a premium sticker price.
Hyundai reveals CEO's pay for first time ever
Tue, 01 Apr 2014Thanks to some government pressure, Hyundai's billionaire chairman, Chung Mong Koo, has revealed just how much he gets paid each year. Honestly, the amount is a bit lower than we'd expect considering he helms such a huge industrial empire. The 76-year-old chairman brought home $13 million in 2013, $5.2 million of which came from Hyundai's automotive business while both Mobis and Hyundai Steel chipped in $3.94 million, each. For reference, Ford CEO Alan Mulally netted $23.2 million in 2013, although the vast majority of that money came from stock options.
The push for Chung to reveal his pay was part of a larger effort by the South Korean government called the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act. The act forces several thousand companies to release info on annual pay, bonuses and severance for employees earning over $5 million won ($469,000), according to Bloomberg.
"With the disclosure of the executives' compensation, the pressure to deliver better profits will increase," said Heo Pil Seok, the CEO of Midas International Asset Management. It seems to be working, as Hyundai shareholders, of which Midas is one, have seen their shares increase by 6.1 percent in 2014, which includes a 1.2-percent jump as of yesterday, according to Bloomberg.
Hyundai reveals new i20 hatchback ahead of Paris debut
Tue, 12 Aug 2014If you had ever traveled overseas and rented a Hyundai Getz, you'll likely have gotten why it was the butt of jokes: it Getz you from A to B, but not much more. But like the company that makes it, the Korean supermini is all grown up now, long since eschewing the punchline nameplate for the i20 moniker. And here is its latest successor.
Set to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this fall, the new i20 is Hyundai's rival to the likes of the Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Polo, Toyota Yaris and such. Designed in Europe for the European market, the new i20 stretches its wheelbase nearly two inches longer than its predecessor (and four and a half inches longer than the knees-in-your-chest Getz) to offer best-in-class legroom and cargo capacity.
Hyundai also says the new i20 is the first in its segment to offer an opening panoramic sunroof. While we wouldn't exactly call the styling "exciting" (especially in that shade of brown), penned at the company's European design center in Rüsselsheim, Germany, it certainly does look more mature... which, we take it, is kinda the point.
