Sadly, I am selling my 2002 Hummer H1 with 59,4XX miles. It has been a daily driver for me, and I drive about 5 miles a day total in The Woodlands, TX. I am selling it because we are moving to a new house, and I need garage space and will be driving farther on a daily basis. I purchased the truck about 2 and a half years ago from a guy who had it on a consignment at Lamborghini Houston. The previous owner before me had a this truck and a soft top, and kept both in great mechanical shape.

It is Pewter with black accents (Safari Rack, Rear Ladders etc). This Hummer is all mostly stock aside from a few bolt on or cosmetic upgrades, and has been meticulously maintained. It has CTIS, heated windshield, OEM alloy wheels, factory 2-piece runflats, a Spare steely wheel and tire.

Upgrades:
-Trucklite LED’s all the way around. Favorite purchase, really updates the truck and increased nighttime visibility
-Headlights
- Turn Signals
-Taillights

-Touch screen Nav/CD Player and moved AC controls to center panel w/rubber duck kit
-9’ Safari Rack
-Rear Ladders
-Heavy Duty Grilll Guard with KC Lights
-Momo Steering Wheel
-Interior Cargo Racks on Tunnel and Rear Wheel Wells
-Mud Terrains with loads of tread life left

Imperfections:
Driver’s side windshield took a rock or piece of debris on I-45, heating coils on that side still work great, cosmetic
Front CTIS leaks about 1.5 psi/day
Wires to front driver’s door when shut sometimes prohibit truck from locking (alarm still sets), works fine every time to lock when door open.
Bendix on started sometimes sticks for about a quarter of a second when starting. Have gotten multiple opinions and been told to leave as is.

As I said, I drive this truck daily, and none of the above have really been any issue. This ’02 truck is in great shape, and is a clean fun ride. I am asking $55,000 for this truck, and am planning on buying a Dodge Viper or something of the sort. Trades for a 05+ Viper or similar (would also be a daily driver) will be considered.

Don’t hesitate to call, text or email any questions.

Thanks,

Logan

Hummers are for Horses: Artist reimagines the monsterous SUV [w/video]

Horse-drawn Hummer H2 - Click above to view the video after the jump
When the internal combustion engine finally helped the automobile pass the horse-drawn carriage as the chosen method of transportation for a majority of citizens in the United States, that a step in the right direction. Right? Moving forward about a hundred years... when the behemoth Sport Utility Vehicle that never actually seems to venture off the beaten path passed the minivan in the hearts and minds of families across the country as the people-mover of choice, was that a step in the right direction?
If you answered no to either of the above questions, perhaps you'll enjoy the video pasted after the break. Created by artist Jeremy Dean (read about our initial post on the project here), the converted Hummer H2 is called Futurama and is pulled by two white horses named, appropriately enough, Duke and Diesel. Hummers are for horses? See for yourself.

GeigerCars Hummer H2 Bomber - Click above for high-res image gallery
GiegerCars has a love affair with American cars, and a particularly strange affection for Hummers. The German tuner has created all sorts of strange variants like a Christmas-themed H2, a 700-horsepower H2 built for a Texas sheriff or any number of racing-liveried Hummers like the "Gulf Wing" or this Martini Racing inspired H3.
GiegerCars' latest creation is the Hummer H2 Bomber. The most notable modification is the addition of four Mattracks 88M1-A1 rubber tracks that replace the twenty inch wheels. The rest of the vehicle features a military design theme as well as a roof box with lighting and a silver matte paint finish. Now all we need is a race on a snow-covered drag strip between this and Ken Block's Subaru TRAX STI. Follow the jump for the press release from GeigerCars.

Team Miller Fisher finishes the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles - Click above for high-res image gallery
Team Miller Fisher has crossed the finish line of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles - in a Hummer H3 driven off a Parisian dealer's lot - and battled from 51st to 12th out of 98 teams after a mistake on the first leg. The Rallye Aïcha, a six-stage trek through the desert, allows no use of GPS, no pace notes, no cell phones, and no binoculars. Pilots and co-pilots find their way between checkpoints with maps, compasses and pencils, and whoever completes the journey in the shortest distance, wins.
The race was made even harder this year by using not the 1:100,000-scale maps of years past, but scraps of paper with increasingly less route information as the race went on. Olympic skier and co-pilot Wendy Fisher wrote to say, "This continues to be the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. An unbelievably tough event. Days were SO long, almost impossible to get all of the checkpoints."
